it seems that comments are once again active after not being so for some time. i don't know how to turn them on or off, or why they work, or don't, being a tech neophyte and don't know how to address them other than to post things like this here. it would help me respond, which i believe i'd have to do here like this, if said comment/question was very short, as my attention span doesn't always keep up with more complex thoughts these days.
