 i visit this site every tuesday when his new post arrives. its always excellent. this quote came from todays post, where he has lots of various stuff available;

The quote for this week comes from C.S. Lewis. He speaks of evil:
It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices.

 the empire has been interfering in iran for a hundred years so they will earn whatever comes their way should they insist upon more trouble there;

The establishment of a military force to go abroad and overthrow governments does not appear anywhere in the Constitution of the United States, nor does calling for destruction of countries that do not themselves threaten America appear anywhere in Article 2, which describes the responsibilities of the President. Indeed, both Presidents George Washington and John Quincy Adams warned against the danger represented by foreign entanglements, with Adams specifically addressing what we now call democracy promotion, warning that the United States “should not go abroad to slay dragons.”
Since the end of the Second World War, the United States has proven to be particularly prone to attacking other countries that have only limited capability to strike back. North Korea was the exception that proved the rule when the Chinese intervened to support its ally in 1950 to drive back and nearly destroy advancing U.S. forces. Otherwise, it has been a succession of Granada, Panama, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Serbia, and Libya, none of which had the capability to hit back against the United States and the American people.
Iran just might prove to be a harder nut to crack. There has been a considerable escalation in tension between Washington and Tehran since the White House withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in May. The JCPOA was intended to monitor Iran’s nuclear program to ensure that it would not be producing a nuclear weapon. Since that time, the U.S. and Israel have been threatening the Iranians and accusing them of both having a secret nuclear program and engaging in widespread regional aggression. In the latest incident, President Donald Trump tweeted in response to comments made on July 21st by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who had told a meeting of Iranian diplomats that war between America and Iran would be a misfortune for everyone, saying
“Mr. Trump, don’t play with the lion’s tail, this would only lead to regret. America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars.”

pcr never fails to hit every nail squarely on the head;

The United States government has never allowed independent governments in Latin America. Every time people elect a government that represents them instead of US economic interests, Washington overthrows the elected government. Marine General Smedley Butler told us this as have many others. There is no doubt about it.
Currently Washington is trying to overthrow the governments of Venezuela and Nicaragua and has bought off the Ecuadorian government with oil purchases and the usual personal bribes. Evo Morales government in Bolivia is also targeted by Washington. The Obama regime succeeded in removing the reform governments in Honduras, Argentina, and Brazil.
Reform governments in Latin America, except for Castro’s Cuba, always leave themselves set-up to be overthrown. They foolishly or impotently permit Washington’s agents, such as the National Endowment for Democracy, the US Agency for International Development, and various so-called NGOs, whose purpose is to maintain Washington’s control and overthrow every government that escapes control, to organize and fund opposition groups and media that work hand-in-hand with Washington to reinstall a Washington-compliant government.
As Marx, Lenin, Mao, and Pol Pot understood, you cannot overthrow an oppressor class if you leave them unmolested. Whether from weakness or stupidity, Latin American reform governments always leave the electorally defeated oppressor class and its economic and media power unmolested. When Washington reinstalls the oppressor class, the same tolerance is never shown to the overthrown reformers who usually pay with their lives.

just in case you aren't in the habit of opening the link at the bottom, i paste this entire article here as i believe its important and well said. at the bottom of the article at the link there are several other links you may wish to explore.

America is the first Undeveloping country of the 21st century. Gerald Celente
America has trillions of dollars in unfunded repairs to its infrastructure that it must make if it plans to survive. Obama had a shovel ready jobs program that had to be scrapped when feminists complained that the term shovel ready seemed to favor hiring men. Iran, China and Russia need not worry. After eight years of Obama, the infrastructure debt became worse. Trump is proposing we spend a trillion dollars but would require we privatize our best infrastructure. That means we pay for it and the leadership of the Jewish-Globalist Lobby winds up owning our utilities and roads while they gouge us for fees to use what we built.
But even this meager program is several trillion dollars short of what we need to keep America from turning into a Third World nation. There are dams and levees that badly need repair or replacement. If the much troubled Wolf Creek  dam (at Lake Cumberland) fails, the resulting flood would put Nashville under water and cut east west road and rail traffic for tens of millions of Americans. In California their state water project and the levees around Sacramento need repair, but we can’t afford to do it. We need to spend more money on Israel’s wars.
The Jewish Lobby set up a Pentagon Office for Special Plans in 2001 that funneled lies from Israel directly to the White House unfiltered by any truthful analysis to justify an invasion of Iraq. That kicked off a $6 trillion spending spree to kill Muslims. The CIA paid ISIS and Al Qaeda money to kill Christians in Syria. Syrian Christian churches can trace their origins back as far as 50 and 60 A.D. Why did we pay crazies to gouge out the eyes of Christians and to behead them? Because they supported secular governments in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. All three of those nations were on General Clark’s list of nations to be invaded. Lebanon? Obviously that list originated in Israel.
Enter Iran’s Sejjil IRBM missile. Wikipedia says it has a speed of Mach 14. And a range of 2,500 kilometers (1,553.4 miles). The warhead ranges from 500 to 1,500 Kgs. Iran also has a Medium Range missile, the Qadr, which has Mach 14 speed.  It has a warhead of 700 to 1,000 kilograms. (1,543 to 2,225 pounds.)
And Iran recently introduced an air to air missile called the Fakour which has Mach 5 speed and a range of 190 Kilometers (118 miles.) Compare that to the US AIM-120 AMRAAM which only has Mach 4 speed and a range of 75 Kms.
Let’s delve into Iran’s defense budget of $106 billion which has increased 145% since the lifting of sanctions. Iran is funding two wars. They are the primary backers of Iraq’s Popular Militias. The Popular Militias outnumber Iraq’s regular army. Iranian officers, arms, training and finances have liberated the center of Iraq from ISIS. President Obama let Secretary of State John Kerry give 400 trucks to Al Nusra (Al Qaeda in Syria) who immediately gave them to ISIS (Al Qaeda in Iraq). ISIS used the trucks from Obama and Kerry to take Mosul and split Iraq into 3 parts. That had been Israeli policy since at least 1982 (as proposed by Oded Yinon.) Ever since Israel killed President Kennedy, Israel’s policies have been America’s.
Hezbollah has underground manufacturing plants mass producing drones and Mach 3 plus missiles with 1,102 pound (500 kg) payloads. These are advanced drones. Iran captured a CIA drone by electronically hijacking it. President Obama demanded they return his drone. The Iranians, Russians and Chinese had a good laugh. This is speculation on my part but Hezbollah commandos could launch drones and missiles from tunnels inside Israel to search out and destroy high value targets in the region.
Iran and Pakistan have entered a partnership to jointly manufacture military equipment. Iran has the license and technology for Russia’s S-400 anti-missile system but is creating its own version. Pakistan has Russian and Chinese technology and is making military equipment of interest to Iran. Pakistan is a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) which is a Russian-Chinese military alliance. China has proposed Iran for full membership.
The point is that Iran has superior weapons to the US. Why and how is that possible?
Russia’s defense budget has been cut 25% to $47.247 billion. But they have faster missiles than the US. They are deploying the S-600 anti-missile system. Even the S-400 had missiles with Mach 12.5 and Mach 14 speeds. They also have Khibiny,  the Electronic Countermeasure Warfare system. It can shut down US radar, computers and communications systems. The US has been waging psych war against Russia by paying $5 billion to install a corrupt government in the Ukraine. This shift in Ukraine will allow America to move their slow missiles closer to Russia so they can theoretically win a First Strike nuclear war with Russia. As I said, Putin is not impressed. He cut his defense budget 25%.
America has a very poor economy as does Europe and Japan, but we do have high stock values because our Central Banks have been printing money and buying stocks. Our major corporations have been borrowing money and buying stocks to trigger corporate executive bonuses enabling insiders to sell their bonus shares at inflated prices.
Does it matter that 21 trillion dollars has been stolen from two federal agencies, Housing and Urban Development and the Pentagon? Not to the news media. American taxpayers are not allowed to have modern accounting procedures so they know where their tax money went. So what if their $21.3 trillion national debt is likely to rise to $30 trillion and the annual interest charge is likely to skyrocket from $500 billion to $1.5 trillion and then $2 trillion. Even after being threatened with trillion a year interest rate charges the media will not permit us to tell Americans that there would be no national debt and no interest on the debt if we still had President Lincoln’s Greenbacks which charged us zero dollars a year in interest.
The people who own the American government seem to be guided by the Talmud which said, “It is legal to rob the Gentiles as soon as we get control of their government.”
Dr Mark Skidmore and his graduate students tabulated the figure of $21 trillion in spending not being accounted for. That was over a 20 year period and only from HUD and DOD. He did not include other agencies.
Dr Skidmore told one funny story about the US Army. Their annual budget was $122 billion. They had so much missing money that the US Treasury Dept sent them a check for $800 billion to fill the holes in their accounts. Guess what? The $800 billion went missing too!
We produce planes, missiles and ships that are highly inferior to Russia’s even though they spend less in a year than we do in a month. Heck. Even the Iranians have air defenses and missiles superior to ours. We could not even defeat Iran, Syria and Hezbollah if we wanted to. Even if our lives depended on taking Lebanon by force which it doesn’t.
In 1929 we had 123 million Americans. By 1940 3 million Gentiles had starved to death in America. The Uber Rich decided to add 202 million people since then. And they also sent millions of jobs overseas. They decided to create jobs by hiring 31 million federal, state and local government workers (if you count contractors.) They have subsidized jobs in education and healthcare. Neither of these industries serves us well. A black man in Los Angeles said Crenshaw high school only has 3% of its students reading at their grade level. They spend twice as much per pupil for poor results as a local private school that has lots of students passing Advanced Placement exams for college entrance. The younger generation has seen a 20% pay cut since their parents were their age.
We print dollars and buy things from overseas paying for them with I Owe You nothing dollars. We have 800 military bases overseas and pay for them with IOU nothing dollars. That won’t last much longer.
The Petrodollar is dying. The US dollar will die. Wages and pensions will be cut 50% when foreigners begin dumping dollars. Over half of US dollars are overseas. When, not if, foreigners edeem those dollars, our commodity prices will rise very sharply. It would only be a matter of weeks before Americans would discover that the purchasing power of their paychecks and pensions has been cut 50%.
People are concerned about the 2018 elections. I think the Uber Rich might want to crash the economy before November. They want the Democrats to make the borders wide open so America will be embroiled in multiple Race Wars when the Dollar Dies, wages are cut 50% through inflation and the Nationwide Food Riots have signaled the coming demise of everything that is here now.
If or when Americans aim 350 million guns at each other and fire the first billion bullets, the Uber Rich could release a series of plagues.
Iran, Russia, China and Syria have nothing to fear. The Saudis, Wall Street, the Jewish Lobby and all kept politicians in the US, the UK and Europe should tremble.
The Gentiles of America and the world must make plans for their survival. Their governments will not survive what is coming so we will have to depend upon ourselves and our networks of friends and family to live long enough to rebuild when we reach the other side of the coming Troubles.

 kunstler, accurate as always, points out the direction the empire is moving;

Comes August now, the month of vacancy, idleness, the slap and hiss of waves on sand, furtive romance on the dunes, perhaps, sweet corn, country roads, and county fairs, and more furtive romance, perhaps, on a blanket in the high meadow under a blood moon — and respite from the hellish host of foolish ideas, dark trends, and bad faith driving life in this demolition derby of a nation.
If one word defines the preoccupying affairs of the USA these days it’s tiresome. The entire population seems to be enacting the old myth of Sisyphus, every, man, woman, child, swamp-creature, and non-binary child-of-God in the land, legal and undocumented, pushing that boulder uphill to the tippy top, only to have it roll back down to the bottom… repeat ad infinitum.
Take Mr. Robert Mueller, for example, the sphinx-like figure looming over the political landscape with his lawyer’s attaché case full of radioactive secrets. He has already done yeoman’s service in his mission by indicting two dozen Russian Facebook trolls and Internet hackers — who will never be extradited or set foot in a US courtroom, sparing taxpayers the expense of trying them (and testing the theory of “collusion” with the current POTUS). It’s a little hard to picture old horse-face popping a third beer at the clambake, let alone the stories he might tell around the fire (with necessary redactions). When he awakes hung over in the sand the next morning to the shrieking gulls, next to someone not-his-wife, will he be overwhelmed with regret for a year spent chasing gremlins from the Kremlin? The public appears to be good and goddamn sick of him. Even The New York Times has stopped squealing about Russia. Standing by for September histrionics….

the most honest three minutes on tv;

the matrix, brave new world, 1984, and so on clearly explored here in this twenty minute video that you are signing up for;

interesting what people think about;

i have rarely found anything by father or son i didn't find to be well thought out;

If you had five minutes to speak before the secretary of Defense, what would you say?
At this point, I’m sure, if Gen. James Mattis is reading this, he is probably muttering to himself: “Here we go again.”
You see, every time I run into the secretary of Defense, I try my best to make the point that we’ve been at war too long in too many places.Gen. Mattis, as well as the head of NATO, the head of the UN, and virtually every voice of reason in the foreign policy world, acknowledges that there is no military solution to the unending Afghan War.
For that matter, most agree that there is no military solution to the Syrian civil war or the Yemeni civil war. And yet . . . the same voices that admit there is no military solution keep sending more troops.
The Vietnam War strategy of taking one more village to get a better diplomatic deal still rules among many decision-makers.
I, for one, will keep pushing for a declaration of victory and a grand celebration as our troops come home.

haven't read it all yet but the beginning certainly is a clear picture of the scene around the hildabeest;

Like every presidential election that liberals lose, years later we’re still hearing about how unfair it all was. Of course, the favorite complaint of liberals this time around is “Russia did it!” Even if you accept for the sake of argument that Russia wanted Trump to win and hacked John Podesta’s email (and neither of those assertions may be true), buying some inconsequential Facebook ads for both sides and revealing the contents of John Podesta’s emails (none of which turned into truly major stories) wasn’t exactly a game changer.
Liberals also noted that Hillary would have won had the election been decided by the popular vote. This is like noting that if football games were decided by passing yards instead of the score, the Patriots would have beaten the Eagles in the Super Bowl. It doesn’t work that way, by design. We’ve also heard complaints that Bernie Sanders is responsible, presumably for daring to run against Hillary at all and we can’t forget “sexism.” That’s always a liberal rallying cry.
Moreover, it is impossible to overemphasize that, other than a few true believers, almost all of the political professionals (myself included) thought Hillary would win. In fact, if you believe Michael Wolff’s book, Fire and Fury, even the Trump campaign thought it was going to lose – and no wonder.

i've pasted the lead in to the main piece here below and it speaks for itself clearly;

It’s been almost eight years since Chalmers Johnson died.  He was the author of, among other works, Blowback: The Costs and Consequences of American Empire and Dismantling the Empire. He was also a TomDispatch stalwart and a friend . As I watch the strange destructive dance of Donald Trump and his cohorts, I still regularly find myself wondering: What would Chal think? His acerbic wit and, as a former consultant to the CIA, his deep sense of how the national security state worked provided me with a late education. With no access to my Ouija board, however, the best I can do when it comes to answering such questions is repost his classic final piece for this site on the necessity of dismantling the American empire before it dismantles us.  He wrote it in July 2009, convinced that we had long passed from a republic to an empire and were on the downward slide, helped along by what he called a “military Keynesianism” run amok.  He saw the Pentagon and our empire of bases abroad as a kind of Ponzi scheme that would, someday, help bankrupt this country.
How fascinated he would have been by the first candidate to ride an escalator into a presidential contest on a singular message of American decline. (“Make American great again!”) And how much more so by the world that candidate is creating as president, intent as he seems to be, in his own bizarre fashion, on dismantling the system of global control the U.S. has built since 1945.  At the same time, he seems prepared to finance the U.S. military at levels, which, even for Johnson, would have been eye-popping, while attempting to sell American arms around an embattled planet in a way that could prove unique.  What a strange combination of urges Donald Trump represents, as he teeters constantly at the edge of war (“fire and fury like the world has never seen”), more war (“never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before”), and peace in our time.  Amid all the strangeness, don't forget the strangeness of a mainstream media that has gone bonkers covering this president as no one has ever been covered in the history of the universe (something that would undoubtedly have amazed Chal).
Think of what President Trump has launched as the potential imperial misadventure of a lifetime, while checking out Chal's thoughts from so long ago on a subject that should still be on all our minds. Tom

this piece explores the alleged differences in 'our' leaders of 'our democracy';

Former US President Barack Obama was in South Africa last week for the centennial anniversary marking the birth of the late Nelson Mandela. Obama delivered a speech warning about encroaching authoritarianism among nations and the “rise of strongman politics”.

Coming on the heels of the summit in Helsinki between Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, media reports assumed that Obama was taking a swipe at these two leaders for supposed growing authoritarianism.

Obama’s casting of the “strongman” as a foreboding enemy to democracy is a variant of the supposed threat of “populism” that Western political establishments also seem concerned about.
Trump, Putin, Turkey’s Erdogan, Italy’s Salvini, Victor Orban in Hungary and Sebastian Kurz in Austria, among many others, are all lumped together as “strongman politics”, “populists” or “authoritarians”.
Here we are not trying to defend the above-mentioned political leaders or to make out that they are all virtuous democrats.
The point rather is to debunk the false narrative that there is some kind of dichotomy in modern politics between those who, on one hand, are supposedly virtuous, liberal, democratic, multilateralists, and on the other hand, the supposedly sinister “strongman”, “authoritarian”, or “populist”.

special posting for those who believe mcstain is honorable;

  aircraft carrier – 1967

Via History.com
A fire on a United States Navy carrier stationed off the coast of Vietnam kills 134 service members on this day in 1967. The deadly fire on the USS Forrestal began with the accidental launch of a rocket.

During the Vietnam War, the USS Forrestal was often stationed off the coast of North Vietnam, conducting combat operations. On the morning of July 29, the ship was preparing to attack when a rocket from one of its own F-4 Phantom jet fighters was accidentally launched. The rocket streaked across the deck and hit a parked A-4 Skyhawk jet. The Skyhawk, which was waiting to take off, was piloted by John McCain, the future senator from Arizona.
Fuel from the Skyhawk spilled out and caught fire. The fire then spread to nearby planes on the ship’s deck and detonated a 1,000-pound bomb, which killed many of the initial firefighters and further spread the fire. A chain reaction of explosions blew holes in the flight deck and had half the large ship on fire at one point. Many pilots were trapped in their planes as the fire spread. It took a full day before the fires could be fully contained.
Hundreds of sailors were seriously injured and 134 lost their lives in the devastating fire. Twenty planes were destroyed. It was the worst loss of a life on a U.S. Navy ship since World War II. Temporary repairs were made to the ship in the Philippines before the Forrestal headed back to Norfolk, Virginia. It was repaired and put back into service the following April, but never returned to Vietnam.
John McCain narrowly escaped the fire and, afterwards, volunteered for duty on the USS Oriskany. Just three months later, his plane was shot down over North Vietnam and he was taken prisoner. He was not released until five-and-a-half years later, in 1973.

an interesting idea in a short presentation;

the list is reasonable and detailed showing how things have changed in ten years;

The confidence and hubris of those directing the rest of us to race off the cliff while they watch from a safe distance is off the charts.

The past decade of "recovery" and "growth" has actually been a decade of catastrophic losses for our society and nation. Here's a short list of what we've lost:

this article spotlights a good turn in how the world, especially the empire, deals with the apartheid regime in palestine;

Maybe it was when Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would respond to flaming kites from Gaza with an “iron fist.” Or maybe when 13 senators bucked the Israel lobby to call for an easing of the siege on Gaza. Or maybe when five young American Jewish women walked off their “Birthright” trip saying they needed to see the occupation.
Or maybe it was the election in a New York Democratic congressional primary of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez even after she described Israel’s actions in Gaza as a “massacre.” Or maybe it was the two Israeli government ministers who issued statements justifying the deportation of an American who supports boycott against Israel, with one minister saying, “This is a Jew who tried to abuse this fact.”
Hasbara has died. The Israeli effort to “explain” its actions to the world– that era is over. Israel has given up trying to explain itself to fair-minded people. Because the fair-minded have all made up their minds; the slaughter in Gaza has seen to that. And Israel doesn’t think they are fair anyway.
No, its explanations are reserved now for the hard-core supporters. The hasbara is pure propaganda, aimed at rallying the base. And everyone else is tuning out.
It didn’t used to be this way. Hasbara was a successful euphemism because Israeli propaganda was treated as being of a higher order, and so got wide pickup in the mainstream press and from American politicians. Even when segments of Europe and the left were against Israel, the Jewish state could count on a generous hearing in the hallways of power. Leading journalists such as Jeffrey Goldberg, Tom Friedman, Wolf Blitzer and Terry Gross were happy to carry water for Israel’s side of any controversy and malign those who questioned it, and Dennis Ross was on NPR morning noon and night.

Authored by Lee Camp via TruthDig.com,
Our society should’ve collapsed by now. You know that, right?
No society should function with this level of inequality (with the possible exception of one of those prison planets in a “Star Wars” movie). Sixty-three percent of Americans can’t afford a $500 emergency. Yet Amazon head Jeff Bezos is now worth a record $141 billion. He could literally end world hunger for multiple years and still have more money left over than he could ever spend on himself.
Worldwide, one in 10 people only make $2 a day. Do you know how long it would take one of those people to make the same amount as Jeff Bezos has? 193 million years. (If they only buy single-ply toilet paper.) Put simply, you cannot comprehend the level of inequality in our current world or even just our nation.

So … shouldn’t there be riots in the streets every day? Shouldn’t it all be collapsing? Look outside. The streets aren’t on fire. No one is running naked and screaming (usually). Does it look like everyone’s going to work at gunpoint? No. We’re all choosing to continue on like this.

this guy is usually quite accurate;

Oh Look! More Horsecrap (GDP)
[Comments enabled] This morning the GDP for 2Q was released and it "showed" that the economy has reached a $20 trillion annual run-rate in the United States.
Tout TV was up saying this was (of course) a first (actually it wasn't; last quarter we had breached it too) and a large increase over the last 10 years.
Well, of course it was a large increase.
There's only one problem: Exactly zero of it was actual economic expansion.
Yes, I said zero.  In fact the economy has contracted over the last 10 years.
What, you say?  That's impossible -- look at the numbers!
I did look at the numbers and you did not.
Remember that GDP is C + G + I + (net) Ex
In other words, Consumption + Government Spend + Investment + net Exports (Exports - Imports) = GDP.  That's first-semester economics.
All unbacked borrowing by government is, of course, part of "G", and once that's in the economy it never leaves -- unless of course government debt goes down (which it hasn't even during Clinton's alleged "surplus", because that "surplus" never actually existed.)
It therefore circulates forevermore in every future quarter, but by emitting that debt you devalue all existing dollars!  This means that mathematically GDP "in dollars" will mathematically increase by exactly that amount but that says nothing about whether the actual quantity of goods and services increased.
If you have a certain amount of goods and services produced and double the amount of circulating "moneyness" in the economy then the price level on average doubles, since by definition all goods and services consumed were purchased with something -- and that something in the US is denominated in dollars.  In other words you will report that "GDP" has "doubled" even though the amount of goods and services produced has not expanded at all.
So here's the ugly -- Here is US Government debt, to the penny, as of 7/25/2008:
07/25/2008  9,540,689,536,562.79
That is, $9.541 trillion dollars.
Here it is on 7/25/2018:
07/25/2018  21,265,465,085,278.12
$21.265 trillion dollars, or $11.72 trillion more.
The current annual run-rate of the economy is $20.402 trillion.  In 2008, Quarter 2, it was $14.805 trillion, or an actual increase of $5.60 trillion per year from then to today -- in nominal, that is, "dollar-denominated" terms.
Federal government debt added alone was more than double the net increase in nominal GDP over that same period.
In other words the facts are that the economy has actually contracted, not expanded.  That's why the common American is finding food more expensive, fuel more expensive, health care and housing more expensive, cars are more expensive etc etc etc when one looks at the number of hours of effort required to pay for each of such things, that is, in an actual "SI" (or invariant) unit.
The so-called "expansion" since the crash has all been sleight-of-hand -- and continues to this day.  Nor is this new; it was in fact going on for a good long time (decades) prior to 2008 as well.
Goebbels had nothing on our so-called "modern media", say much less our current President and the only reason they get away with this crap is that you can't make change for a $20 without using a computer.

george always hits the target, center mass;

lots of stuff here you won't see in 'our free press' in its various manifestations, like the tv, and there's much more at the link;

Having recently accused president Trump of "treason," the biggest traitor in Washington D.C. might be none other than Senator John McCain.
Disturbing information continues to emerge about his direct ties to Muslim terrorists and the London bomber, and how he's owned and funded by Saudi terrorists and George Soros.
Ever since Trump got into office, McCain has done everything in his power to subvert the President of the United States, which is a federal crime.

As McCain continues to garner the sympathy of many Americans who still falsely believe he's a Vietnam "war hero," it's time that we finally set the record straight about the unbelievable things McCain did during his time in the military, before McCain dies and nauseating tributes are made about his "service" in Vietnam.
It's important to note that due to McCain's familial ties to high ranking Naval commanders during his time in service (his father and grandfather were both four-star admirals), the majority of McCain's massive catastrophes and scandals in the Navy were completely buried, and his military records sealed.
Of course there is the cover up that John McCain was solely responsible for the horrifying atrocity aboard the USS Forrestal Aircraft Carrier on July 31, 1967 where his cocky maneuver of doing a "wet start" of his plane would kill 134 sailors, in the deadliest loss of life the Navy has ever seen. But because of McCain's daddy being a 4-star admiral, the entire incident was buried, and the Navy never officially put blame on anyone for the tragedy. Astonishingly, McCain would not only be allowed to continue serving in the Navy, but would go on to be responsible for the deaths of numerous other men, in a scandal that has been successfully buried for decades.
Three months after the bloody tragedy on the USS Forrestal Aircraft Carrier, John McCain was sent on a bombing mission over Hanoi in October of 1967 when he was shot down and captured by the North Vietnamese, where he's go on to be a prisoner of war until 1973. After being released from captivity, McCain would use his POW story and veteran status to rise to political prominence, where his image as a "Vietnam war hero" would go on to propel him to be elected as a United States Senator.

it seems this way every time i stumble across any 'news' on tv or radio, or www as 'our' rulers blame their troubles on others in their race for more money and power. the curious thing is how many 'consumers' buy this crap;

 our situation reasonably well described;

The U.S. mainstream press can easily recognize the dominant and influential role that the military plays in society, so long as they are referring to countries like Pakistan and Egypt. Unfortunately, the same reporters and commentators turn a blind eye to the similar phenomenon here in the United States.
For example, the Washington Post writes: “When not in power, [Pakistan’s generals] have exerted outsize control over foreign policy, the economy, and local politics.” The New York Times writes: “Even during civilian rule, the country’s generals have wielded enormous power, setting the agenda for the country’s foreign and security policies…. As prime minister, Mr. Sharif ran afoul of the military early on by trying to assert control over foreign and defense policy, which is seen as the army’s domain.”
It’s the same in Egypt. Newsweek points out that after the military coup that ousted democratically elected President Mohammed Morsi from office, “The army stepped in…. Five years on from the coup, the military government — led by general-turned-president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi — has established a firm grip on the nation….”
Meanwhile, not surprisingly, the U.S. government is flooding the Egyptian military with hundreds of millions of dollars that the IRS has forcibly taken from the American people.
What the mainstream media and, unfortunately, all too many Americans, fail to recognize is that the Egyptian, Pakistani, and American governments all have a fundamental governmental principle in common: All three are national-security states and, consequently, in all three regimes the military and intelligence sections of the government play the dominant role within the government and within society.

kunstler hits it out of the park in this piece;

The political insanity roiling the USA only gets worse, with no end in sight. On Wednesday, Senator Ed Markey (D-Mass), made the astonishing statement on CNN that “the American people wanted a confrontation, not a conversation,” between Presidents Trump and Putin in Helsinki.
Really? We wanted a mud wrestling bout and all we got was some lousy chit-chat? Next time, maybe Mr. Trump will bring a fungo bat to the room and “tune up” his counterpart — a popular negotiating technique from the rough-and-tumble New York City construction scene back in Mr. Trump’s halcyon days. Some people you just can’t reason with, especially the hell-spawned man-beast who personally directed Russian “meddling” and “interference” in our election and stole certain victory from president-designee Hillary. (I know this because The New York Times and The Washington Post said so.)
Another astonishment: in his testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee this week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US would not recognize Crimea as part of Russia and would demand the return of the region to Ukraine. Not to put too fine a point on it, Mr. Pompeo is pissing up a rope on that one. Russia will not give up its warm-water naval bases on the Black Sea anymore than the US will return its San Diego naval installation to Mexico, and Mr. Pompeo knows it. So do the posturing idiots on the senate committee, who apparently forgot that our own government officials fomented the 2014 Ukrainian coup that prompted Russia to annex Crimea and its military assets in the first place.

can't imagine saying it any better;

of course 'our' government never lies to us and if we say iran attacks us, of course that would be the case, and the gulf of tonkin was really what the 'news' said it was because we have a free press and all of those who say it was a hoax are doing drugs, and we bring democracy everywhere we go, ...........

Often, the American mainstream media becomes a de facto government employee, taking the claims of U.S. officials and reporting them as proven fact — and nothing exemplifies this penchant better than reporting on the Gulf of Tonkin incident — perhaps one of most flagrant lies ever dreamed up as a justification for war.
On August 5, 1964, the New York Times reported “President Johnson has ordered retaliatory action against gunboats and ‘certain supporting facilities in North Vietnam’ after renewed attacks against American destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin.” Additional outlets, such as the Washington Post, echoed this claim.
But it wasn’t true. At all. In fact, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, as it became known, turned out to be a fictitious creation courtesy of the government to escalate war in Vietnam — leading to the deaths of tens of thousands of U.S. troops and millions of Vietnamese, fomenting the largest anti-war movement in American history, and tarnishing the reputation of a nation once considered at least somewhat noble in the eyes of the world.
In 2010, more than 1,100 transcripts from the Vietnam era were released, proving Congress and officials raised serious doubts about the information fed to them by the Pentagon and White House. But while this internal grumbling took place, mainstream media dutifully reported official statements as if the veracity of the information couldn’t be disputed.

couldn't think of a better way of saying this;

no comment necessary;

the rest of this surprising info is at the link, and i suspect you may be surprised, as i was;

Throughout history, when it came down to international struggle, opposing sides would always seek for means to gain an advantage over the enemy. On top of improving combat readiness and tactics, there has been a countless amount of instances when states tried to drug their troops for them to prevail on the field of battle. Throughout centuries, soldiers were sent in battle intoxicated by all sorts of herbs and more conventional mind-altering substances, with various degrees of success.
How can one forget a small unnamed Breton village of indomitable Gauls, that managed to survive in the world dominated by the Roman empire due to a secret magical position that made its inhabitants undefeatable. Of course, we’re speaking about the famous French comic-book series Asterix. The main theme of this franchise was a secret poison brewed by an old druid that was making Asterix’s Gauls both invincible and irresistible.
It’s hardly a secret that any work of fiction usually has some background story to fuel the imagination of a creative mind. And Asterix is no exception, as opium derived from poppies was a very important substance to ancient Greeks. In one of the first and most influential poems in the history of mankind – Homer’s Odyssey we find customs of the past, like soldiers drinking wine mixed with opium after battles to calm their nerves and help themselves forget the horrors of war.
Further still, the mighty vikings that were raiding England’s coastal regions for centuries were known for using so-called magic mushrooms to enhance their performance in battle, the Amanita muscaria that is more commonly known as fly amanita. A famed Norwegian botanist Frederik Schübeler suggested that the vikings drank wine made from the mushrooms.
It’s curious that Napoleon’s legions that were believed to be unbeatable for the longest time were know for their heavy hashish use and alcohol abuse.
During the WWII Japan’s kamikaze pilots that were feared by the allied navy used methamphetamin that was first synthesized in 1893 by a Japanese scientist from the Ephedra sinica plant. The Nazis were also known for their heavy amphetamine abuse. However, they were not alone.
American troops would use amphetamines both during the Second World War and Vietnam catastrophy. According to the testimony of one of the survivors of these conflicts, drugs were distributed among the troops like candies. They were used to ensure that soldiers didn’t get combat fatigue, to make them feel wired, alert, invulnerable, and incredibly aggressive. They also needed less food and less sleep while they were high on amphetamines.

two pcr articles in one day, with the second pasted here in its entirety. this russians did it stuff is beyond the ability of satire to create;

On July 21, I posted on my website a report on the discovery by John Solomon of The Hill magazine that Lisa Page testified to a congressional committee to the effect that the Russiagate probe conducted by Robert Mueller is a cover-up operation to obscure the criminal use of counterintelligence capabilities to spy on Trump’s presidential campaign and then to sabotage Trump’s presidency. https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2018/07/21/bombshell-development-lisa-page-reveals-plot-against-trump/
The evidence is overwhelming that CIA director John Brennan, FBI director James Comey, Robert Mueller, James Clapper, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and the Democratic National Committee are engaged in high treason against the American people and the President of the United States and are actively engaged in a plot to overthrow the President of the United States. Yet, the traitorous intelligence officials retain their high security clearances and have not been indicted, arrested, and put on trial for high treason. Rosenstein and Mueller haven’t even been fired from their high positions where they continue to operate in behalf of the overthrow plot.
It shows the untouchable power of the military/security complex when its operatives are so far beyond the reach of law and accountability that they can commit high treason with no consequences to themselves.
The US presstitute media works full time to protect these traitors, because the presstitutes hate Donald Trump and the Americans who elected him much more than they love the US Constitution and the rule of law. This makes the presstitutes accomplices to high treason and subject to arrest and prosecution.
Even those who understand what is going on and are willing to speak against it, such as former CIA official Ray McGovern http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/49903.htm and Senator Rand Paul speak in muted terms. Senator Paul wants their security clearances withdrawn because they are monetizing them in their roles of well-paid talking heads in the presstitute media and may reveal classified information on the programs.
There is no evidence that Trump is a Russian agent. There is enormous evidence that the above CIA, FBI, DOJ, and national security officials are engaged in treason against the United States.
Yet, we hear only about the fake case that Trump is a Russian agent. We hear nothing about the CIA/FBI/DOJ plot against the president of the United States that is unfolding before our eyes in plain sight of even insouciant Americans.
We also don’t hear anything about this: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/49898.htm
 pcr never fails to hit the nails on their heads. the rest of this is at the link below;

If America had more honest, fact-based journalists with integrity like Tucker Carlson, we would not be, as we are today, dissolving as a country.
In this one TV broadcast— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGlj2T1tITg–Carlson shows that the Democrats have gone far beyond “lying through their teeth political partisanship” into deranged hatred of President Trump and the American people who elected him.
The Democrats’ insane hatred of “Trump deplorables” has firmly allied the Democrats with the corrupt military/security complex in a plot to overthrow the elected President of the United States. https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2018/07/26/cia-fbi-doj-plot-to-overthrow-the-president-of-the-united-states/
Carlson presents the former heads of US intelligence in the corrupt Obama regime accusing President Trump of treason against the United States for trying to normalize relations with Russia and endangering the United States for trying to make peace.

i don't watch tv news anymore with the intent to discover truth. when i do watch its to find out what is scaring the average 'consumer' and nothing more;

I don’t get it. I’ve been watching the hysteric reaction of the news media, the MIC, the Deep State, the Zionist neocons, and politicians on both sides of the aisle to President Trump’s new detente with Russia, and I’m left wondering why the prospect of peaceful coexistence with a nuclear-armed superpower is seen as a bad thing. After listening to the usual drivel on the idiot box, which includes accusations of treason in the executive office, you’d think they actually want an adversarial relationship with a country that our own generals acknowledge could annihilate us and end the world as we know it in the process.
I’m told by these mad dogs that Russia “has something on Trump”, that Putin is a “thug” who murders political opponents, that the evil Russkies  “annexed” Crimea, and even that they somehow stole our election, all without the slightest shred of hard evidence to bolster their claims. Yet this never-ending stream of Russophobia has been somewhat successful in the sense that propaganda always works on the gullible, as Goebbels, Orwell, and Huxley could all tell you. Plus, of course, there are plenty of folks who are paid very well to imagine Russia (or North Korea, Iran, or China) as our mortal enemy, and are only too happy to take train loads of cash from the rapidly shrinking private sector to prove it. Thus, following the money: if there is no enemy, there is no military-industrial complex.

always liked pooh and his friends.

who could make this stuff up?

It’s late July, 2018. In the Middle East, 800 men and their families are heading for Western Europe, Canada and the US, to be resettled as refugees. The true story behind their evacuation by Israel and their proposed “resettlement” as heroes is one of the most devious and frightening tales of our time.
Sources also tell us that among the 800 are top ISIS commanders who will soon be living in Germany, Britain, Canada and the United States, doing what terrorist commanders do, organizing cells and murdering innocent civilians, just like they did in Syria and Iraq and just like the White Helmets had done all along.
The White Helmets are an enigmatic group, lauded as volunteers and life savers, servant of mankind, they were organized by Britain’s MI6 as a black propaganda and anti-Assad organization funded by the governments of Britain, the US, Germany and others. They are not an NGO. There is nothing “non-governmental” about them.
Essentially, they are terrorist mercenaries.
With up to 30,000 opposition fighters inside Syria giving up arms and either rejoining Syrian society under the Damascus government in the last 12 months, or for some being resettled and perhaps continuing the fight, the 800-man force known as the White Helmets is unique.

jfk as accurate in his words now as he was then. if we don't stand by him now as we didn't when we had the chance, it will become exactly as he warned about. video is about nine minutes long. don't think i buy the hurricane trump fictions. he is as much a post turtle as the decider was.

this guy posts sporadically but is always well researched, and i like what he says;

Your body has to build a billion cells a day. Does your doctor talk to you about a plan to help your body build a billion cells a day to maintain good health?
American drug companies have 100 drugs to manage the disease known as Hypertension. An American doctor will usually consider any Blood Pressure above 120 over 80 to be abnormal and sufficient cause to write you a prescription. But in Europe they don’t treat anyone for High Blood Pressure until it goes over 180. In India doctors think that any BP under 140 is dangerous and a sign of pathology.
Let’s take a look at an American Medical Association Journal article that most doctors ignore. Mortality rates are four times higher for people with systolic pressure under 120 than for those with pressure over 160. This study was based on examination of records for 48,000 patients from 259 US hospitals. It would seem that doctors pay more attention to salesmen from pill pushing Big Pharma than they do to scholarly research articles.
To state this so simply that even a drug company salesman can understand it: Higher Blood Pressure means lower death rates. Think of it this way: The heart is a pump. It delivers oxygen through the blood to every cell in your body. If you have damage to the heart or to the arteries, wouldn’t it make sense that higher pressure from your pump would make you live longer because it delivered more oxygen to your cells?

a very accurate illustration;

here i paste the entire article as its short enough and very worthy of your full read, i believe;

QUESTION: Did the Deep State indict the Russians to sabotage the Trump Putin summit? The Daily News seems to be cheering World War III. What is going on?
ANSWER: The Justice Department DELIBERATELY indicted Russian they can never put on trial and it was done days before the summit to intentionally disrupt it and set the fake news up to maintaining that Russia is the enemy. In other words, we should not talk with an enemy but we should just declare war. It really is mind-blowing how the press is so intent upon creating war with Russia. They argued against peace in North Korea and they take the same tactic with Russia. The press and Deep State are simply positioning people to support a war.
This is the press and how they acted before to create the Spanish American War. The famous artist, Frederic Remington, worked for William Randolph Hearst, who was the son of a U.S. senator from California who had made a fortune in the mid-1800s mining industry.  In 1897, Remington became very bored by the lack of anything newsworthy in Cuba and cabled to Hearst, “Everything quiet.  There is no trouble here.  There will be no war.  Wish to return.”  In response to Remington’s message, Hearst replied, “Please remain.  You furnish the pictures and I’ll furnish the war.”

I remember in history class back in high school how they blamed the Spanish American war of Pulitzer and Hearst who created a war with fake news just to sell their newspapers. The competition between them was all that mattered. It became known back then as “Yellow Journalism” and the most ironic fact to come from this is that journalists today cherish winning a Pulitzer Prize for journalism that is named after the father of what we call today “Fake News”! Today, journalists keep bashing Trump for pointing out that they are indeed using their power to push personal views. Nothing has changed. In Asia, I am asked what is wrong with CNN? They no longer report the news, it is all about overthrowing Trump because their corrupt candidate, Hillary, lost.
The Daily News has been especially outrageous in that story regarding Putin and they were not finished with distorting the entire summit. They tweeted that Trump “derides reports with which he disagrees as ‘fake news,’ then buys the Russian narrative hook, line, sinker, pole, and boat.” Catherine Garcia.
Garcia has NEVER looked at the evidence behind the Magnitsky Act. Is this intentional or is she so biased that she sees no need to actually investigate anything?

Video Player

Not a single major news organization bothered to report that Putin said Mueller can go to Russia and interrogate who he wants if Russia can do the same with respect to the Hermitage Capital incident that involved the blackmail of Yeltsin, the charge against Bank of New York for $7 billion money laundering, and Republic National Bank/HSBC. Where is the independent reporting? Where arte the real investigative journalists? Not a single major news outlet bothered to report that offer or even question what was it about? A real news organization would be unbiased and at least report what allegations Putin is making.
So what does Garcia want? Does she want a Pulitzer Prize for creating World War III? I have PERSONAL knowledge of what Putin was talking about. The attempt to take over Russia and blackmail Yeltsin is what resulted in Yeltsin turning to Putin for help, to begin with.  Putin clearly states that the USA is free to go interrogate the Russians they have indicted and the press declares guilty without any trial PROVIDED that Russia can interrogate Americans and Bill Browder for interfering in the Russia democratic process. They BANNED the film The Forecaster in the United States yet it appeared all around the world and has been on flights on airlines to the USA. They have also BANNED the documentary on Bill Browder’s story: Magnitsky Act: Behind the Scenes. Why are two films that touch on the subject of Russia BANNED in the USA? Who is behind the cover-up? The Forecaster was even on TV in Canada. It is BANNED by the networks in the USA, the news, and Netflix. Why? Because it shows that there were people in the United States who were interfering in the Russian elections blackmailing Yeltsin not to run and to stuff their own puppet in as President of Russia without an election?
You are supposed to be INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY, and the pledge of allegiance kids had to recite in school was just propaganda – “Justice for All” when the press has declared Russia is guilty simply because the Justice Department strategically indicted Russians. The media simply reports whatever the government says without investigation. They KNOW the DOJ will never have to prove anything in a court before a jury since they cannot arrest Russians in Russia. The DOJ can say whatever it wants and it then says proof cannot be revealed before a trial – very convenient. The press does NOT care about the rule of law. They accept whatever the DOJ says knowing it never has to prove anything or put forth the evidence. There is nobody in the press who bothers to investigate anything said every by the DOJ. They know that. So the press cannot prove what they report is “fake news” when there is no independent investigation.
It is becoming painfully obvious that everything American once stood for is long gone. The Deep State intentionally sabotaged the summit and the press has conspired with the Deep State to desperately try to overthrow Trump so they can get back to the corruption that ruled the country for decades. The sad part is the press has only exposed how corrupt they really are. There is NOT a single major news outlet that would EVER report the blackmail of Yeltsin to attempt to take over Russia. There just seems to be no hope. They will intentionally continue down this path which will only lead to Civil War by polarizing people on both sides with propaganda. It truly is disgusting.

the title is: gaza killings: who is to blame? it is very revealing should you have the patience to listen to the israeli crap. the one who sent it to me said if you're short of time start at twenty nine minutes.

the hildabeest certainly has reached this point;

i'm constantly amazed that 'consumers' don't realize how they're being played by 'our' government;

In today’s United States, the term “espionage” doesn’t get too much use outside of some specific contexts. There is still sporadic talk of industrial espionage, but with regard to Americans’ own efforts to understand the world beyond their borders, they prefer the term “intelligence.” This may be an intelligent choice, or not, depending on how you look at things.
First of all, US “intelligence” is only vaguely related to the game of espionage as it has been traditionally played, and as it is still being played by countries such as Russia and China. Espionage involves collecting and validating strategically vital information and conveying it to just the pertinent decision-makers on your side while keeping the fact that you are collecting and validating it hidden from everyone else.
In eras past, a spy, if discovered, would try to bite down on a cyanide capsule; these days torture is considered ungentlemanly, and spies that get caught patiently wait to be exchanged in a spy swap. An unwritten, commonsense rule about spy swaps is that they are done quietly and that those released are never interfered with again because doing so would complicate negotiating future spy swaps. In recent years, the US intelligence agencies have decided that torturing prisoners is a good idea, but they have mostly been torturing innocent bystanders, not professional spies, sometimes forcing them to invent things, such as “Al Qaeda.” There was no such thing before US intelligence popularized it as a brand among Islamic terrorists.
Most recently, British “special services,” which are a sort of Mini-Me to the to the Dr. Evil that is the US intelligence apparatus, saw it fit to interfere with one of their own spies, Sergei Skripal, a double agent whom they sprung from a Russian jail in a spy swap. They poisoned him using an exotic chemical and then tried to pin the blame on Russia based on no evidence. There are unlikely to be any more British spy swaps with Russia, and British spies working in Russia should probably be issued good old-fashioned cyanide capsules (since that supposedly super-powerful Novichok stuff the British keep at their “secret” lab in Porton Down doesn’t work right and is only fatal 20% of the time).

the empire stumbles on without looking where its going or what's at the end of the road they're on;

Future historians may well identify Russian President Vladimir Putin’s landmark March 1 speech as the ultimate game-changer in the 21st-century New Great Game in Eurasia. The reason is minutely detailed in Losing Military Supremacy: The Myopia of American Strategic Planning, a new book by Russian military/naval analyst Andrei Martyanov.
Martyanov is uniquely equipped for the task. Born in Baku in the early 1960s, he was a naval officer in the USSR era up to 1990. He moved to the US in the mid-1990s and is now a lab director in an aerospace firm. He belongs to an extremely rarified group: top military/naval analysts specializing in US-Russia.
From quoting Alexis de Tocqueville and Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace to revisiting the balance of power during the Soviet era and beyond, Martyanov carefully tracks how the only nation on the planet “which can militarily defeat the United States conventionally” has reacted to a situation where any “meaningful dialogue between Russia and America’s politicians is virtually impossible.”
What is ultimately revealed is not only a case of disregarding basic Sun Tzu – “if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles” – but most of all undiluted hubris, turbocharged, among a series of illusionistic positive feedback loops, by Desert Storm’s “turkey shoot” of Saddam Hussein’s heavily inflated, woefully trained army.
The United States’ industrial-military-intel-security complex profits from a compounded annual budget of roughly US$1 trillion. The only justification for such whopping expenditure is to manufacture a lethal external threat: Russia. That’s the key reason the complex will not allow US President Donald Trump even to try to normalize relations with Russia.
Yet now this is a whole new ball game as the US faces a formidable adversary that, as Martyanov carefully details, deploys five crucial capabilities.

 this guy is very energetic and always gets real interested in whatever he writes about. he never fails to speak his mind clearly and is frequently very accurate;

There's a meme going around called "Trump Derangement Syndrome" -- and certain "columnists" (cough-cough) are having a field day with it on social media.  Never mind the apparent real reason some of them are doing it, which in reality has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with pumping some crazy scheme (like "blockchain" based wet dreams -- for them.)  That's sort of like Whoopi being a salesperson for this diet scheme or that; gee, how's it worked out for 'ya chick -- other than cashing the checks, that is.
But the very people screaming about Trump being a Nazi, or whatever, are joined in their screaming by those on the other side of the aisle who are content to just sit and watch while proof of deranged, criminal, even felonious behavior is outlined time and time again by those in the government.  Eric Holder (who is rumored to be a Presidential candidate) running guns to Mexican drug lords anyone?  Or the now-well-documented ridiculous abuse of surveillance capabilities that are supposed to be limited to non-US concerns being weaponized against political candidates (which is illegal, I remind you.)  Or the utterly-insane and nearly-universal violation of 100+ year old felony criminal law by an entire sector of our economy that comprises nearly one dollar in five spent today -- and not one indictment has been issued.  Or how about the utterly outrageous "tax farming" firms like Tesla and Solar City, never mind the rather apparent insider dealing (which, I remind you, is supposed to be illegal too.)  Or we can talk about the military and foreign policy scams; Oliver North was a piker compared with Obama and his billions sent on literal pallets of cash to Iran, never mind what appears to be $400 million given to Hillary by Russians during her campaign -- every dollar of it illegal, I remind you, since any sort of contribution from a non-US citizen to a political campaign is a federal offense.
The deranged on the right think Trump will fix it -- "just give him time" they say.  There were supposedly threats made against him and his family, and this of course justifies not cleaning house -- right now.  "Oh, he has to do it right or it will all go to Hell" is one of the more-frequently heard claims.  Then there's insanity of those who believe in "Q" running around, and the believe in "tens of thousands" of "sealed indictments" for various things ranging from theft to pedophilia.
Give me a break folks.

haven't watched the video but i've been seeing more of these sort of warnings recently;

EvG says, “. . . At some point, all hell will break loose. There is no question about it. It could be something very serious coming this autumn. The whole political system is fighting against Trump, and that is going to be tough, very tough. . . . The markets are giving me the signal that things are going to turn in the autumn, and you can easily find a number of catalysts for this to happen.”

nothing for you to see here so move along and disregard the man behind the curtain;

Every now and then I get one of those stories that I not only have to blog about, but that makes me – and I suspect, you, the reader – shake our heads in disbelief at the brazen double standards that obtain between “us plain folk” and the so-called “elite,” the vulgar, amoral, cultureless technocrats and financiers that run the world, and this is one of those stories. Mr. N. sent it along, and it really takes the breath away:
Now, get this:
49-year-old Annabelle Neilson’s body was discovered hanging from a doorknob in the bathroom of her $4.1 million mansion on Thursday, but news of her sudden and tragic death has only just been made public. Police have yet to confirm the cause of her death, and haven’t ruled out drug or alcohol use, but say they are “not treating it as suspicious.”
No, there’s nothing suspicious at all about someone found dead hanging from a doorknob, notwithstanding she used to be married to a Rothschild. Nothing to see here, move along. Oh, did I mention…?:
Neilson was previously married to Nathaniel Rothschild – son of Lord Jacob Rothschild and heir to his family’s fortune – for three years after a six-year relationship. After divorcing Rothschild she was reportedly forced to sign a confidentiality agreement and rescind the dynastic name.
Nothing suspicious here, move along. Oh, by the way, did I mention that Annabelle Neilson’s boyfriend was also found hanging from a doorknob?

i've just been contacted by one of the individuals involved with the book at the link below.
the uss liberty was attacked by israel in the sixty seven war, and they knew it was an american ship.
the surviving sailors were threatened with court marshal if they spoke up about the attack, and to this day are required to be silent. what do you think of that?

david icke never backs down from describing what the state of things are, especially in this video where he speaks about israhell;

think plastic isn't a problem, consider this link below which only highlights one small part of where it goes and what it does, especially how it gets there;

Come for the beaches, say tourism ads for the Dominican Republic.
But it has some beaches you might want to skip right now.
The Caribbean nation is known for sapphire seas and ivory beaches, but it is grappling with waves of garbage washing up on its shores, a vivid reminder of the presence of thousands of tons of plastic in the world’s oceans.
Those piles, most notably the “Great Pacific Garbage Patch,” are usually far from human settlements, to say nothing of resort destinations.
But instead of visitors relaxing on Montesinos Beach in the capital, Santo Domingo, there has been an altogether different scene, one unlikely to wind up on a postcard: Hundreds of city workers and volunteers who have been waging an uphill battle against wave after wave of sludgy garbage.
Images have shown teams using pikes, shovels and excavators to lift the garbage, only to be met with new waves carrying even more.

here in the land of the brave and free there are gradations of that 'freedom' granted to some but not to others;

Georgia state Representative Jason Spencer is in deep doo-doo. He was filmed shouting the N-word repeatedly and exposing his buttocks on Sacha Baron Cohen’s new television show.
Obviously for a politician to drop his trousers and show his naked ass on camera is ground for discipline, if not firing. That just shows that these so-called Republicans will do just about anything for money. They have no morals, and all you have to do is sign them a check for a few thousand dollars and they’ll just do anything. Just look at how Netanyahu has progressively gotten the Republican Party in his right pocket.[1]
But that is not what the media is focusing on right now. Race baiters are hinging on the idea that Jason Spencer should never have uttered the N-word because it presumes that Spencer is a bigot, a racist, or something equally weird. Those race baiters don’t even ask Sasha Cohen to cancel his program!
This has been a recurrent theme over the past decade or so. What the race baiters ended up saying is that only blacks can use the N-word, even in a derogatory sense.

mel makes a good point;

tell me if this doesn't fit with the reality of it all;

pcr is always full of information and well written in his exploration of that info;

For two decades the offshoring of American jobs to Asia and Mexico has destroyed the careers and incomes of tens of millions of US citizens, the pension tax base for state and local governments, the federal tax base for Social Security and Medicare, and the opportunity society that once characterized the United States of America.
The rise in corporate profits that resulted from substituting foreign labor for American labor rewarded corporate executives and boards, hedge funds, large shareholders, and Wall Street with profits at the expense of the American population and the US economy.
The low rates of economic growth claimed since the alleged recovery from the 2008 financial crisis that resulted from financial deregulation, a huge mistake made by politicians in service to capitalist greed, is based entirely on under-measuring inflation. Allegedly, Americans have suffered no inflation for a decade, but anyone who buys anything knows that that is a lie. What jobs offshoring did is to destroy the growth in productivity based US consumer purchasing power that drove the US economy. In short, the short-sighted executives, boards, and Wall Street have impaired aggregate demand in the US.
The corrupt Federal Reserve under the incompetent Alan Greenspan ramped up consumer debt to take the place of the missing growth in consumer income. This works until consumers cannot carry any more debt. The subsequent Federal Reserve chairmen have kept the house of cards standing by pumping trillions of dollars into the prices of financial assets.
