Back in 2017, Mr. Predicto Anthony S. Fauci, M.D., director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said there is “no doubt” Donald J. Trump will be confronted with a surprise infectious disease outbreak during his presidency.
“We will definitely get surprised in the next few years,” he said. “There is no question there will be a challenge in the arena of infectious disease, but also there will be a surprise outbreak.”
