Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich says that he’s suing the Biden administration over rules imposed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) that would treat firearm parts as finished guns.
“The ATF is attempting to overshoot the authority granted to it by Congress,” Brnovich said in a July 27 statement about the lawsuit.
“The rulemakings are unconstitutional, impractical, and would likely put a large number of parts manufacturers out of business.”
The Arizona Republican was joined by 16 other attorneys general, the Gun Owners of America, and other groups in the lawsuit over the ATF rule that attempts to regulate unfinished parts as if they were complete firearms, which, according to the suit, will imperil “the American tradition of private firearms manufacturing that predates the Revolution.”
The suit was filed against the ATF, the acting head of that agency, and the Department of Justice.
The new ATF rules would lead to the “illegal creation” of a federal firearms registry that would require gun retailers to keep sales records beyond a 20-year requirement and turn them over to the ATF instead of destroying them, according to the suit.
“The final rule unconstitutionally subverts Congress’ authority, exercising quintessentially legislative powers in a manner that could never pass either (let alone both) houses of Congress today, which is precisely why defendants have no intent whatsoever to ask for legislative authorization to take such unprecedented actions,’’ the lawsuit states.
“Yet under our Constitution, the president (much less unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats within the executive branch) is not a king who can exercise this sort of unbridled power unilaterally.’’..............more.........

Israeli authorities have rejected a third of medical permit requests for Palestinian minors in the besieged Gaza Strip, almost double the previous year, according to new data.
A report by the Tel Aviv-based Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) found that 32 percent of requests to reach either occupied East Jerusalem, the West Bank or Jordan to receive urgent medical care for children were rejected in 2021, compared with 17 percent in 2020.

On the night of July 7, 2018, Pettaway would lose his life after Montgomery Police officer Nicholas Barber deployed his K-9 on the innocent man, forcing it to maul him for over 2 minutes. Pettaway would not survive his injuries.
“I saw it with my own eyes,” Joseph’s sister Yvonne Pettaway- Frazie told the Montgomery Advertiser. “His flesh was all on the ground that morning.” The family has since filed a lawsuit to get justice.
For years, the Pettaway family has fought for the release of the body camera footage, which they say the police never acknowledged existed in the first place. As part of their lawsuit, the family has finally obtained it and it confirmed their suspicions, and more as the video reportedly shows officers standing around joking as Pettaway dies at their feet.
This video has now become a point of controversy as authorities are refusing to release it — for fear that it may cause citizens of Montgomery to riot. According to a report by Lynda Edwards, Montgomery city attorney Christopher East revealed the city’s controversial reason for keeping that video secret.
The video, according to the city attorney, has “the potential of creating and/or facilitating civil unrest based on the graphic images alone.”
“An imagined fear that riots that may happen if people react a certain way is very different from citing specific national security concerns like an undercover law enforcement agent’s life would be at risk if certain information is released,” First Amendment expert and Columbia Law School lecturer Robert Balin told Edwards..........more.........

Our fetishization of World War Two has eclipsed from memory the fact that it was the single worst thing that ever happened on this planet. The trauma it inflicted upon our species still reverberates through our collective consciousness to this day, and avoiding it would have been objectively good.
Even if we fully espouse all the grandiose ego-stroking Anglo-American narratives about WWII, you don’t want to have a modern Churchill and FDR bravely standing against the forces of evil. What you want is for such a stand to be unnecessary, because the conflict was avoided.
But that’s not how you score political points in Washington and London. That’s not how you pull ratings as a news outlet. That’s not how you sell weapons as an arms manufacturer, and it’s not how you advance hegemonic agendas as an empire. That’s why peace doesn’t get a voice.
And, oh yeah, did I mention there are fucking nuclear weapons now? Even the dumbest of warmongers should want to postpone reenacting their favorite Hollywood WWII movies in the modern world, because it’s impossible to win a world war now. The White House slammed Republican governors on Thursday for using migrants as a ‘political pawn’ by bussing them to Washington, D.C., after the city’s mayor called for the National Guard to help.
Mayor Muriel Bowser said the influx had caused a ‘humanitarian crisis.’
But the issue quickly spiralled into a political row as Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s office said the nation’s capital was now experiencing the sort of problems that Texans saw every day.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said officials talking with Bowser about the request.
‘We have been in regular touch with Mayor Bowser and her team,’ she said at her daily briefing.
‘And I said this before … about Republicans using migrants as a political tool, and that is shameful and that is just wrong.
‘There is a process in place for managing migrants at the border. This is not it.’
She said migrants should be expelled under Title 42, or transferred into custody, or placed in the care of local organizations for proper processing.

Who is surprised that he US government’s war on the American people is not going any better than its sponsored war in Ukraine? The only thing the government is really good at is covering up its crimes, which mainly requires them to do nothing — don’t investigate anything, don’t furnish documents to anyone, don’t answer official letters, slow-walk every required action, and otherwise dodge, duck, deny, deflect, and dissemble.

The answer is one Brian Auten, FBI Senior Analyst, who engineered a scheme to label Hunter’s laptop “Russian disinformation,” which allowed FBI Director Christopher Wray to throw a switch that turned off any further inquiry in the matter beginning in August before the 2020 presidential election. In turn, other senior FBI officials had all the documents pertaining to the decision process on that matter locked up in a special file that would never see the light of day. Auten’s action led to the release of a letter signed by “fifty former intelligence officials” labeling the laptop as a Russian disinfo op — which became the basis for social media to conspire to censor any discussion of the laptop and its contents. The laptop Hunter Biden left behind at a Delaware computer shop in 2019 has become a bonanza of incriminating information on potential illegal business activities, including a pay-to-play scheme of selling access to his powerful father. Reporting on the laptop was heavily censored by the mainstream media and tech giants ahead of the 2020 election.
CNN has shared what it says are “forensically authenticated” emails gleaned from Hunter Biden’s laptop showing that the Internal Revenue Service, his accountant and others spent years hounding him to pay off hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of unpaid taxes.
A 2019 document prepared for Biden by an assistant showed some $559,902 in debt, including a $112,000+ tax lien, $32,655 in taxes owing in 2016 to the IRS and tax authorities in California and Illinois, and over $200,000 owed to the IRS and the District of Columbia in 2017.
In an October 2018 email, Hunter’s accountant urged him to fill out his tax returns as soon as possible to avoid continuing accrual of additional late filing and payment penalties. “Once they are filed, we can negotiate a payment plan with IRS,” Hunter’s CPA wrote, stressing that his client had missed an already extended deadline. Two weeks later, the accountant sent additional emails urging Hunter to file the 2017 returns immediately, and reminding him of a 2015 lien of $158,000.
In another email, a flustered assistant to Hunter informed him that she was having a hard time prioritizing which bills to pay, with Biden responding by telling her to “pay the health care” and pay off his Porsche, and to pay herself $1,500 instead of the promised $3,000 because he simply didn’t have enough income coming in.
Biden also received emails from his bank Wells Fargo, informing him about “insufficient funds” and warnings that his credit card balance was above preset limits.
In a frank admission of a kind that’s unusual for the network, CNN pointed out that Hunter’s tax troubles came about despite his lavish income, including a $50,000-a-month no-show job on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, sent a letter to FBI Director Chris Wray Wednesday after he says “brave whistleblowers” came forward with information about “disturbing conduct” at the agency.
“From recent protected disclosures, we have learned that FBI officials are pressuring agents to reclassify cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’ even if the cases do not meet the criteria for such a classification,” writes Jordan. “Given the narrative pushed by the Biden administration that domestic violent extremism is the ‘greatest threat’ facing our country, revelation that the FBI may be artificially padding domestic terrorism data is scandalous.”
During congressional hearings last year, Wray testified that investigations into domestic violence extremism have increased “significantly” and the FBI had “doubled the amount of domestic terrorism investigations,” Jordan notes.
The Biden administration unveiled a national strategy for countering domestic terrorism last year, with officials telling Fox News it’s designed to cut across the political spectrum while warning that White supremacy and “militia violent extremists” currently present the “most persistent and lethal threats.”

In a speech in the European Parliament earlier this month, German MP Christine Anderson described the coercion of people into taking COVID vaccines as the “biggest crime ever committed on humanity.”

As documented in a series of critical reports over ten years by the Oakland Institute based in California, the moratorium on land sales in Ukraine aimed to prevent the acquisition and consolidation of farmland in the hands of the domestic oligarch class and foreign corporations.
The marketization of farmland is part of a series of policy “reforms” that the International Monetary Fund stipulated as a precondition enabling Ukraine to receive $8 billion in loans from the IMF.[2]
Even amid the pandemic there has been “wide-ranging opposition from the Ukrainian public to reversing that ban, with over 64 percent of the people opposed to the creation of a land market, according to an April 2021 poll.”[3]
Additionally, the IMF loan conditions required that Ukraine must also reverse its ban on genetically engineered crops, and enable private corporations like Monsanto to plant its GMO seeds and spray the fields with Monsanto’s Roundup. In that way, Monsanto hopes to break the boycott by a number of countries in Europe of its genetically engineered corn and soy.

In short: they are fighting for their survival – against expropriation. The reason for the protests is the Dutch government’s plans to massively reduce nitrogen emissions by up to 95 percent. That would mean the end for about 30 percent of the farmers.
These are peasant protests of unprecedented proportions. Last year, Christianne van der Wal, Minister for Nature and Nitrogen, was commissioned to reduce nitrogen emissions by 50 percent by the end of 2030. With her plans, she wants to ensure the end of many Dutch farmers. The plans stipulate that farmers will give up their farms voluntarily and receive compensation for doing so – on the condition that they guarantee never to go back to farming. If they disagree, the state will take over their farm. So the great expropriation has begun.
Nitrogen reduction by 2030
The government in the Netherlands seems to have set itself the task of ruining the farmers. With their nitrogen plans for reducing nitrogen emissions presented on June 10th, around 30 percent of farmers have to close their businesses. By the magical year of 2030, Dutch national nitrogen emissions are to be reduced by 50 percent, in many places up to 70 percent, and in nature reserves up to 95 percent...........more........
