with American troops serving in Syria and Iraq are enlightening. They
tell a daily story of operations, life behind the lines and the real
story of America’s controversial mission that many believe is not only
illegal and fully in support of organizations the US government has
branded as “terrorist.”
There is a problem. There are no
reports. There are no embedded journalists. There are, in fact, no
reports of any kind, not from war correspondents, not from troops who
have returned home or left the military entirely, not from anyone. In
fact, access to US controlled regions in Iraq and Syria is totally
restricted and all information on activities there not just classified
but beyond the purview of even members of Congress.
No one knows what America’s mission is. Photos used in the media are often archival and years old.
More frightening still, the only reports
about journalism inside Syria are of kidnapped and killed journalists,
reports covering areas allegedly under US control, reports accusing the
Damascus government of widespread censorship and press restrictions in
regions where such actions are obviously impossible.
It gets worse. There are, in fact, no
journalists serving in the American enclave in Southern Syria at al
Tanf, an area the Damascus coalition and Russian claim is simply a
protected zone for ISIS operations.
In Northern Syria, north and east of the
Euphrates river where the US claims to control, with its Kurdish
allies, up to 30% of Syria, no American, British or French news service
operates at all, not with US military organizations nor at any of the US
bases which include air fields, training operations and newly
constructed AEGIS type radar stations. These radar stations are
suspected as an attempt by the US to institute a “no fly zone” over
Syria such as was advocated by the Atlantic Council in January 2014.
Then again, nobody asks. No one seems to
have noticed that there are no reports, no combat footage, no videos
posted, absolutely nothing from US operations in Syria and Iraq. In
fact, there is nothing from Afghanistan either, nor is there coverage of
new US bases in Niger, Chad and South Sudan or of activities there as
well.
By the time Vietnam came along, the
history of American combat journalists was over. Those who “made their
bones” in Vietnam did so from outside the country, too often, or from
briefings at headquarters in DaNang of Saigon.

The article, entitled “Kremlin Sources Go Quiet, Leaving CIA in the Dark about Putin’s Plans for Midterms,” claims that the United States has had a number of spies close to the Russian president “who have provided crucial details” that have now stopped reporting at a critical time with midterm elections coming up. The reporting is sourced to “…American officials familiar with the intelligence” who “…spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to reveal classified information.”
After reading the piece, my first reaction was that Judith Miller was back but the byline clearly read Julian E. Barnes and Matthew Rosenberg. Noms de plume, perhaps? The article is so astonishingly bad on so many levels that it could have been featured in Marvel Comics instead of the Gray Lady. First of all, if American intelligence truly has in the Kremlin high level human agents, referred to as humint, it would not be publicizing the fact for fear that Moscow would intensify its search for the traitors and discover who they were. No intelligence officer speaking either openly or anonymously would make that kind of fatal mistake by leaking such information to a journalist.

It would seem that
the proxy war that Washington has been waging on Syria has been nothing
but a terrible, humiliating mess, but instead of calling it quits the
White House is busy shifting gears again. While demonstrating its
intention to strengthen its military presence in Syria, while still
providing assistance to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party or PKK that is
outlawed in Turkey, the US is now embarking on the mission of creating
no-fly zones, the goal it has been after all along.
To achieve this goal, the Pentagon has
deployed its radar systems in a number of cities in northern Syria, that
are supposedly going to be used to monitor the operations carried out
by the Turkish military. It seems that the relations between Ankara and
Washington has hit an all time low if it comes down to the latter
keeping a watchful eye of the former. It’s obviously not a coincidence
that the safety umbrella that US policymakers are trying to pop open
over the northern Syria is going to cover massive detachments of radical
militants that have been rallying in Idlib from all parts of Syria, and
now we see the reasoning behind this trend. It’s clear that Washington
didn’t want to waste those valuable psychopaths that received an
extensive amount of military training, since it hasn’t lost hope that it
could still take down Damascus if the no-fly zones plan comes into
fruition.
There has already been three full radars
installations deployed in the areas of Kobani and Sarrin in the north
of the Aleppo Governorate along with a total of 13 mobile radar systems
that are going to be used for the monitoring of the Syrian sky. The
rapid creation of no-fly zones in Syria has marked a new phase of
Western military aggression against the Syrian Arab Republic. This
scenario has already been tested by Washington in Iraq and Libya, that
is why American think tanks have been pushing for this option in Syria
for almost a decade now.
Once a no-fly zone in Syria is declared,
this step can followed by high precision weapons being used by the
US-led coalition to destroy Syrian airfields, leaving Syrian armed
forces without close air support. Should this plan come to fruition, any
plane entering the no-fly zone will be detected and destroyed. Back in
2011, Washington was following the same exact path in Libya, first
rendering Libyan airfield useless, before destroying radar installations
and launch pads that could still prevent strikes on Libyan military
facilities.
However, one must not forget that,
according to the UN Charter, the authority to maintain international
peace and security rests upon the shoulders of the UN Security Council.
Both Washington, and its obedient vassals like the Great Britain have no
privilege to do whatever they want if the rights of yet another
international player is violated by their actions. It is the Security
Council that determines the course of action whenever any threat to the
international peace and security surfaces on the horizon. In a desperate
attempt to force the UN Security Council into introducing a no-fly zone
over northern Syria, the United States and its allies have been staging
a new chemical provocation, for this time in Idlib, in a desperate attempt to push the blame on Damascus yet again.

every so often my local electronic fishwrap publishes one of my 'letters' aka, article. here is the latest with the rest at the link;
American politicians and media talk of regime change in Iran as if it’s their divine right, and actively do so about countries worldwide. Most Americans think the 1979 seizure of the American Embassy in Tehran by Islamist revolutionaries was the start of the Empire-Iran conflict. ‘Consumers’ don’t know that those Iranians were reacting to seventy years of American/British interference in their country in which Iran’s oil resources and people were terribly exploited by the Empire and brutally oppressed by an American installed dictator some of that time.
Winston Churchill, as a naval cabinet official, began abusing Iran before WWI using the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, known today as BP, stealing Iran’s oil to fuel Britain’s warships. During WWII British and American actions caused the death of large numbers of Iranians. The Empire was then replacing Britain as the world’s superpower. State Department official Wallace Murray described America’s intentions in 1942: “The obvious fact is that we shall soon be in the position of actually running Iran.”
In 1951 Iran’s citizens, perhaps encouraged by Truman’s promise to “assist free people to work out their own destinies in their own way”, elected Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh as prime minister. Mossadegh fought Western exploitation, nationalized Anglo-Iranian Oil, expelled British technicians and broke off diplomatic relations with London. His was the most popular and democratic government Iranians have ever known: Time naming him its Man of the Year for 1951, called him “the Iranian George Washington”.
The British were furious and plotted to remove Iran’s democratically elected government hoping for American help. Truman opposed it but Eisenhower didn’t. Eisenhower’s secretary of state, John Foster Dulles, whose brother Allen Dulles was director of the CIA, wanted Mossadegh out. Both brothers had been attorneys at a law firm that represented Anglo-Iranian Oil.
The CIA launched Operation Ajax in 1953 headed by Kermit Roosevelt, inciting street violence creating revolution. Americans got access to Iranian oil, the Shah was given his throne and Mossadegh was imprisoned. Iran’s oil was again controlled by foreigners. America claimed all of this was done to prevent Iran from “going communist”. A 1953 State Department report concluded that Mossadegh had no communist sympathies and had opposed Soviet meddling. Iran’s main communist party had opposed Mossadegh.

Russia has recorded flights of unidentified helicopters delivering weapons to the Taliban (a movement outlawed in Russia) and the Islamic State (a terror group outlawed in Russia) units active in Afghanistan, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday.
“We would like to once again point to the flights of unidentified helicopters in northern Afghanistan, which deliver weapons and ammunition to local ISIL [the former name of the Islamic State group – TASS] units and Taliban members cooperating with the group. In particular, the Afghan media and local residents say that such helicopters were seen in the Sar-e Pol Province,” the Russian diplomat said.
“This is happening in close proximity to the borders of Central Asian states, while many of the IS militants active in Afghanistan come from those countries,” Zakharova pointed out.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also said that the Afghan security agencies, as well as the Command of US and NATO troops in Afghanistan, did not react to those helicopter flights. “In this regard, the question arises – who is behind these flights, who provides weapons to the terrorists and secretly creates springboards for them near the southern borders of the CIS and why is it happening at all, given NATO’s actual control of Afghanistan’s airspace,” Zakharova said.

For some time I have been telling my readers that we can expect a
worldwide Depression far worse than 1933 because we have more Unpayable
Debts to cancel than at any time in history. We do not have a
non-interest bearing currency Like President Lincoln’s Greenbacks or the
British Bradford pound of WW I.
We compound our errors by allowing banks to create checking account money that enables them to charge us interest on money they create out of nothing. This generates enormous quantities of Unpayable Debts. This in turn sets us up for another Great Depression. My regular readers know three million Americans starved to death in the last Depression in the 1930s.
Of late I have warned readers that we are entering a Grand Solar Minimum (GSM) in 2019. In the Maunder Minimum the price of wheat rose 400%. Wheat is already in short supply. In the Dalton Minimum there was a volcano in Indonesia in 1815 that sent so much ash into the air that there was no summer in 1816. There were only one billion people living on the earth at that time. Now we have 6.6 billion more people and we have all seen lots of earthquakes and volcanoes in the news of late.
We could easily get into a currency reset where foreigners dump their dollars devaluing the purchasing power of our paychecks and pensions by 50% or more overnight.
We could also see huge crop losses due to drought in many regions while others lose their harvests to early frosts and even to hail and torrential rains. This has happened in previous Grand Solar Minimums.
One escape route for the Bankers who have robbed American taxpayers of tens of trillions of dollars would be to start race wars all over the globe. Against whites in South Africa. Or by Mexicans against blacks in California.

Yet another poll confirms that America’s
dictatorial clique take advantage of the ignorance and gullibility of
the average person so that the clique’s politicians can win votes no
matter how much these politicians block passage and enforcement of any
proposed laws that the dictators don’t want to pass or to be enforced.
In this latest case, the owners of the
insurance companies refuse to allow single-payer (i.e., tax-financed, as
opposed to for-profit) health insurance, though three-quarters of the
American people, in the latest poll, want it, and though past polls
(which likewise were hidden from the public) also overwhelmingly
indicate that the public want it.
For decades now, the owners have blocked it, though the public have overwhelmingly wanted it.
This is an excellent example of the
consistent finding in the empirical political-science literature, that
the U.S. is a dictatorship by the richest against the public, and not
actually a democracy at all.
This particular poll-finding was a poll
taken by Ipsos for the Reuters ’news’-agency and was made public by
Reuters on August 23rd; and what Ipsos found, regarding this matter, was
effectively kept secret by the sponsoring ’news’-organization
(Reuters), by their burying it within a bad article that Reuters issued
under an almost unrelated headline, “Inside the progressive movement roiling the Democratic Party”,
in which report, this finding didn’t even pertain to “the progressive
movement roiling the Democratic Party” (the article’s alleged topic) but
instead, pertained to the entire U.S. electorate, and was merely found
to be more pronounced among Democrats than it was among Republicans — as
it long has been, and so that’s not even news at all.

The US warned Russia it would attack Syria again if chemical weapons (CW) were used by the government forces. According to Bloomberg,
National Security Adviser John Bolton told his Russian counterpart,
Nikolai Patrushev, at a meeting in Geneva on Aug. 23 that the US “is
prepared to respond with greater military force than it has used against
Assad’s regime in the past.” US officials supposedly “have information”
that the Syrian military is preparing a chemical attack in Syria’s
northwestern province of Idlib. Mr. Bolton had also stressed publicly the
US readiness to use force on a larger scale before the meeting with his
Russian counterpart. On Aug. 21, the US, the UK, and France issued a joint statement likewise threatening military action against Syria if a chemical attack occurred. The US has delivered strikes against
Syria twice before, in 2017 and 2018. No evidence to confirm the
allegations that the Syrian government was behind the chemical attacks has ever been presented.
Russia believes a potential attack is nothing more than a provocation to justify military action. The Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement on
Aug. 25 stating that the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham militants had brought
eight containers of chlorine to Idlib in order to stage a false-flag
attack with the help of UK intelligence agencies. A group of Tahrir
al-Sham fighters trained to handle chemical warfare agents by the UK
private military company Olive arrived in the suburbs of the city of
Jisr ash-Shugur, Idlib, 20 km. from the Turkish border.
This
prompts some questions. The Syrian government forces are winning the
war. They control most of the country and continue to make advances. Why
would they use CW now if they did not use them in 2014 or 2015 when
they were retreating? The political and military gains the rebels could
win by staging provocations are obvious, while the Syria military has no
reason to use CW even if it had them. After all, the Syrian army has no
trouble winning with conventional weapons wherever it goes.
As
the previous military actions in Syria demonstrated, the attacks boost
presidential approval ratings. President Trump needs to distract the
public’s attention from the hush payments made
to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal after his alleged affairs. These
dalliance scandals are the last thing he needs during the midterm
election campaigns. Syria and alleged CW attacks could come in handy.
He
and his party badly need to do something in Syria before the November
vote to support the image of the US as the defender of the “poor”
Syrians suffering from the “atrocities” of Assad’s regime. The US global
standing has suffered as a result of unimpressive operations in Iraq
and Afghanistan. It needs to be burnished. Heading an international
coalition against Syria, an Iranian ally, is the way to restore the US
image as an indispensable nation in the Middle East.
If
Syria establishes full control over Idlib province, the hope, no matter
how slim, of overthrowing Syrian President Assad will be dead. Any
pretext would do to justify an intervention to prevent such a turn of
events. The rebels in Idlib are viewed as allies in the fight against
Iran. Besides, the alleged CW in the hands of Assad fuels the narrative
of Russian cheating in 2013 during the elimination of the Syrian CW
stockpile. “Losing” Syria would lead to diminishing US influence in
Iraq, which is also viewed as a battlefield against Iran.
The US administration has frozen some
$200 million in funds earmarked for Syria’s recovery but it is ready to
spend money on military actions against that country. Congress has
failed to include a Senate-backed provision in the 2019 FY budget law to
give the Defense Department $25 million per year and increased
authority to support stabilization efforts in Syria. But the use of
force in Syria is by and large warmly supported by lawmakers.
A
staged “chemical attack” is the way to invent a pretext for using force
against Syria and pressing for a rollback of Russia and Iran. With
Idlib liberated and an agreement reached between Damascus and the Kurds,
Syria will have fundamentally regained its territorial integrity,
making it “lost” to the West and its Persian Gulf allies. Russia, Iran,
and Turkey will act as mediators promoting a peaceful settlement. The
“chemical attack” provocation will be staged as an attempt to scuttle
such a development.

Many
believe that the easily observable dominance of the friends of Israel

In
some other cases, Israel plays hardball directly, threatening
retribution against governments that do not fall in line. Israeli Prime

New Zealand that backing a U.N. resolution condemning Israeli
settlements would be a “declaration of war.” He was able to do so
because he had confidence in the power of the Israel Lobby in that
country to mobilize and produce the desired result.

If Rudy Giuliani still had his wits about him, of course, he would claim that the money was just Ms. Daniel’s going rate for an overnight frolic amongst her legendary twin peaks, that is, a sex worker’s simple transaction fee. Where does it say in the constitution that a president may not consort with tramps and hussies?
It was hilarious to discover that Mr. Trump’s erstwhile personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, picked DC Swamp attorney and Clinton insider, Lanny Davis, to represent him in negotiations with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Investigative Journalist Jen Moore was found dead in a
suburban Washington D.C. hotel room Monday. August 20, 2018, according
to police and shocked and distraught friends and colleagues.
Moore died of an apparent seizure. Police are closely
investigating the cause of death after former FBI Agent Robyn Gritz, a
friend of Moore’s, made inquiries with homicide detectives Monday
afternoon in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Preliminary reports from
police said the death was not the result of suicide.
Moore’s body was found by employees at the Country
Inn & Suites by Radisson, Washington, D.C. East – in Capitol
Heights, Maryland. The investigation is ongoing. An autopsy had not been
scheduled as of late Monday.
Moore, an advocate who investigated abused and
trafficked children, had been in the process of investigating
allegations by a 26-year-old man that — as a young boy — he was sexually
assaulted by Bill Clinton and pimped out at private sex parties
attended by other D.C. elites.
In fact, just four weeks before her death, Moore
filed details of the alleged victim’s claims with the Department of
Homeland Security, detailing the allegations against Clinton. Moore
contacted Homeland Security beginning on July 6th through July 9th,
records show. A week later, she contacted the FBI with identical details
about the victim and the shocking allegations against Clinton.
FBI sources report no case has been opened on the
evidence supplied by Moore. Homeland Security officials could not be
reached for comment.
Moore had approached True Pundit’s Thomas Paine in
June with the allegations against Clinton. Paine conducted a series of
face-to-face interviews with Moore and the alleged victim in various
locales. By July, the victim agreed to tell his story to Paine. But
Moore and the traumatized victim wanted to contact Homeland Security and
the FBI first to see if they would open a criminal case against Clinton
prior to publicizing the claims.
“Jen thought that with a criminal probe, federal
agents could use the victim possibly to dangle in front of Clinton to
see if he made a mistake or tried to pay him off,” Paine said. “She was
worried about the safety of the victim and was working to find him safe
harbor until this story broke.
Now she is the one who turned up dead.”

The huge flame created touched off a bomb on the plane behind him which led to more bombs going off from other parked planes, which then led to the deaths of 134 sailors. McCain did nothing to help during the fire. He was whisked off the carrier and protected because his father and grandfather were Navy admirals. The Deep State Swamp media has since tried to cover this up. They protect their own.

former American ambassador to five countries, has long maintained that
Israel was behind his attempted assassination on August 28, 1980, in a
suburb of Beirut, which was attributed to a rightwing Lebanese group.
Dean and his wife and daughter and son-in-law were in a motorcade and narrowly escaped serious injury.
Dean said that he was targeted because he was doing
something regarded as antithetical to Israel’s interest: consulting with
the Palestine Liberation Organization and its head, Yasser Arafat, at a time when such contacts were the third rail in US politics.
He was also outspokenly critical of Israeli attacks on Lebanon.A new book offers backing to Dean’s claim. But while

thoroughly investigated by the U.S. government.

the following is more of things i've been working on in word docs for potential publishing in the local electronic fishwrap, but since i have more of that than they will actually publish, here it is here;
Trump’s triumphs: to favor obscene wealth in taxation; to
scrap diplomacy and bait Russia; to fund military horrors he vowed to reduce;
to vilify and punish the vulnerable; to spurn the world effort to reverse
climate change; to reject the Iran nuclear deal; and to decapitate regimes in
Syria, Venezuela, and fill in the blank. Each of these bizarre
acts had to be based on his conviction of their supreme importance and his
expectation of “winning” outcomes. Each had to be carried out against
resistance by misguided “losers” and perverse and deluded enemies. The
fact that his appalled opposition comprised the vast majority of the human race
carried no weight with him. Suppose his tax lunacy or trade madness
triggers the titanic meltdown in our Funhouse Finance Economy that experts know
is in the cards? Suppose his Middle School Macho provocations of Iran, or
Korea, start a complex, irreversible slide to world war as the Serb ultimatum
did in 1914?
It’s hard to be empire, but it’s even harder, to be a truly
virtuous society. First, I suppose, you can’t be insane. It’s hard to think of
one aspect of American life that’s not insane now. Here are some; our politics
are insane, our ideologies, universities, Medicine, Show biz, Sexual relations,
and ‘news media’ are utterly insane. What passes for business enterprise in the
Empire these days is something beyond insane, like swarms of serpents and bats
issuing from some mouth of hell in the medieval triptychs.
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized
habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic
society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute
an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We
are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested,
largely by men we have never heard of.” Edward Bernays (“the father of public
relations”), note that Bernays’ book, Propaganda, begins with the above quote.
The Syrian ‘gas attacks’ are false flag events, and the idea
that the Empire has their hand in such attacks to help oust Assad, while at the
same time branding him a dictator and a war criminal, is nothing new. It’s not
‘Russian propaganda’ and it’s something that’s been happening for a long time.
How many of these potential wars with North Korea, Iran, Russia, and China
could we fight without having America bled and bankrupted? What conceivable
benefit could we derive from these wars, especially with a China or Russia, to
justify the many various costs? ‘Terrorists’ attacks of all varieties are
certainly designed to lead ‘consumers’ to beg the state for greater security
and restrictions. Guess who that benefits: the state.
Working people have no voice whatsoever in the control of
the economy and their well-being. They’re forced instead to play an insulting
game in which various parties of capital offer them candidates to choose from,
in what are called “elections,” but really are selections; a system of
appointing, through the illusion of the popular will, pre-selected candidates
of wealth to carry out money’s agenda while candidates that represent the
interests of the majority who have to work for a living aren’t permitted to be
heard or are marginalized and ridiculed.
When Lord Acton coined the phrase “power tends to corrupt,
and absolute power corrupts absolutely,” he might have had America in mind.
Never mind ‘our’ leaders’ professed good intentions: possession of extraordinary
military power continues to lead otherwise sensible people to pursue dangerous,
even monstrous policies.
Media punditry in America is rarely fact-based, is never
held accountable, and it’s nearly always ideologically driven. ‘Our’ government
offers only war. We’re approaching the time where we’ll be forced to choose
between obeying government; the law, or whatever a government official judges
the law to be, and maintaining our individuality, integrity and
independence. Orwell’s 1984,
where “you had to live from habit that became instinct in the assumption
that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every
movement scrutinized” has now become our reality. Walking through a store,
driving, checking email, or talking on the phone, you can be sure that some
government agency, whether the NSA or some other entity, is listening in and
tracking your behavior.
The way things are supposed to work is that we’re supposed
to know virtually everything about what government officials do: that’s why
they’re called public servants. They’re supposed to know virtually nothing
about what we do: that’s why we’re called private individuals; the hallmark of
a healthy and free society has been radically reversed. Now, they know
everything about what we do, and are constantly building systems to know more.
Meanwhile, we know less and less about what they do, as they build walls of
secrecy behind which they function. That’s the imbalance that needs to come to
an end. No democracy can be healthy and functional if the most consequential
acts of those who wield political power are completely unknown to those to whom
they are supposed to be accountable. Truth requires more courage than lies.
