Was it the miasma of cognitive dissonance blackening the air-space over the DC swamp that caused the deadly collision of AA Flight 5342 and a Blackhawk Helicopter this week — an impenetrable fog arising from the fetid exhalations of so many hyperventilating swamp creatures brooding between the urges of fight-or-flight as Mr. Trump deploys his chosen pest-controllers across the Potomac Basin?
Altogether, these many parasitical swamp creatures make up the greater DC blob, and the blob convulsing and fibrillating is what you witness in these committee hearings with Bobby, Tulsi, and Kash. For instance, fake “progressive” Bernie Sanders (D-VT) faced with the reveal that he leads his colleagues in pharma “contributions” (just under $2-million) . . . or fake Cherokee Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) in a fugue state over the perceived threat of Mr. Kennedy to pharma profits . . . or presidential pardon recipient Adam Schiff (D-CA) lecturing Mr. Patel on ethical behavior. . . or Ms. Gabbard enduring the meltdown of Senate Intel Committee tool Michael Bennet (D-CO).
Behind these histrionics by the big gators and peccaries of the collapsing Democratic Party is pure scintillating fear. They are afraid that all of their hoaxes and lies of recent years will be exposed in the months ahead. And they fear that such exposure might lead eventually to legal complications for them. All of that implies loss-of-power, the single element that demonically drives their careers..........more........
we've seen this before;
Authorities in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin announced that tens of thousands of Palestinians have been displaced from the city’s refugee camp as a result of the ongoing Israeli operation there.
The Jenin Governorate said in a statement on 30 January that “most of the Jenin Camp residents, estimated at 20,000 citizens, were displaced as a result of the Israeli aggression.”
It added that “about 400,000 Palestinian citizens have been affected by the siege and aggression on Jenin.”
The Israeli operation in Jenin – dubbed Iron Wall – has entered its 10th day. At least 16 Palestinians have been killed. The operation also includes violent Israeli army raids in other areas of the West Bank, such as Nablus and Tulkarem.
Israeli troops have been systematically destroying homes and expelling residents from the Jenin and Tulkarem Camps.
Sixty homes have been demolished by Israeli forces in Jenin Camp, Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on 30 January........more.......
fred, one of my favorite commentators who has recently hung up his keyboard;
In early 2035, the thirty-fourth year of the war against Al Qaeda, the Pentagon issued a White Paper saying that the F22 Raptor, the front-line fighter plane of the United States, was nearing the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced. Not everyone agreed. Various budget-cutting organizations argued that the Raptor had never been used and thus no one could tell whether it had a useful life. Anyway, the job of the Air Force, killing third-world peasants and their families, had been co-opted by drones. America didn´t need a new fighter, said the critics.
The Air Force countered that the new plane would look feral and make loud, exciting noises. To this, critics could find no rejoinder. Design studies began.
An early question was what to call the new fighter. By tradition, aircraft were named after aggressive but unintelligent birds (F-15 Eagle, F16 Fighting Falcon), unpleasant animals (AH-1 Cobra, F-18 Hornet) ghosts (F-4 Phantom, AC-130 Spectre) or Stone Age nomads (AH-64 Apache). However, something with more pizzazz was needed to get funding through Congress.
Discussion ensued. Suggestions were solicited from The Building, as the Pentagon calls itself. These ran from “F-40 Screaming Kerblam” to the politically marginal “Horrendous Dyke,” whose author believed that it would depress enemy fliers. Going with zoological tradition, the Air Force wanted to call it the Rabid Bat. A congressional wag weary of military price tags suggested “Priscilla,” because that no pilot would then go near it and the country would be spared the expense of wars. (His idea of painting it in floral patterns was not taken seriously.)
A national transgender- advocacy group favored “Susan B. Anthony,” but this was held to be disrespectful of Ebonics, and in any event Anthony might be Susan. It was hard to tell about these things.
The Air Force prevailed. The Rabid Bat was born.........more......
a plausible answer follows a good question;
Many Trump supporters believe that Trump won the 2024 election because, this time, the vote for Trump was “too big to rig.” Others dismiss the concern about “stolen elections” because Trump won the popular vote in addition to the electoral vote, plus a GOP majority in the U.S. House and Senate. The reality is that elections are still corruptible. While Democrats didn’t rig the presidential race this time around, the narrow congressional majority probably means that down-ballot races were still manipulated...something Democrats can and will do again.
But we would make a mistake to think that there are vote margins so large that cheating is impossible. Biden’s popular vote total was even larger in 2020 than Trump’s in 2024 (81,283,501 vs. Trump’s 74,223,975 in 2020 and 77,303,573 in 2024). Biden’s 2020 popular vote was “too big because it was rigged.”
What we learned after 2020 was that cryptographic algorithms embedded in State Board of Elections (SBOE) voter registration databases existed in databases, as Andrew Paquette and I demonstrated on our 501(c)3 website, GodsFiveStones.com. The algorithms permit bad actors to create false voter records that are still given legitimate state voter ID numbers........more.........
the nyt is a showcase for what this blog is focused upon: corruption at all levels including the nyt;
Any NYT reader looking at the buzzy front page headline below would immediately think that Robert F Kennedy Jr. is a madman.
Can he really be an advocate for repealing the polio vaccine, a disease that has killed and crippled tens of millions of kids?
“Kennedy’s Lawyer Has Asked the F.D.A. to Revoke Approval of the Polio Vaccine”
To the ordinary reader, the headline says pretty clearly that Kennedy asked his lawyer to revoke the polio vaccine. The headline makes the shocking accusation that Kennedy is in favor of banning the polio vaccine. There is no other way of interpreting it.
But it is flagrantly false and a gross distortion of the truth. There is not one polio vaccine; there are six different polio vaccines that are used worldwide. Moreover, Aaron Siri, the lawyer in question, does not represent Kennedy in his petition.
Contrary to the misrepresentations the NYT has been making, Kennedy does not oppose vaccines or want to take away anybody’s vaccine. All seven of his children were vaccinated, including with the polio vaccine, and his grandkids were also vaccinated against polio..........more..........
caitlin speaks about how israel does a good job of teaching the world manners;
Drop Site News reports that more than 80 Palestinians have been killed by the IDF in Gaza since what we’re calling a “ceasefire” went into effect on the 19th of January. The majority have been in Rafah, a now completely destroyed city which the Biden administration had previously said was off limits for a major Israeli offensive.
More than 80. Imagine if 80 Israelis had been killed by Hamas during that time instead. Hell, imagine if 80 Israelis were killed in addition to the more than 80 Palestinians who’ve been killed by Israel. Does anyone believe anything resembling a “ceasefire” would continue to hold had that been the case?
Of course not. Palestinian lives are viewed as expendable, while Israelis are viewed as human beings. Killing a few Palestinians here and there is viewed by Israel as morally equivalent to swatting a few flies who are creating a nuisance. ..........more........
if you still don't believe 'our' government is corrupt, here's some evidence;
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: “Today, over 100 members of Congress support a bill to fund Ozempic with Medicare at $1,500 a month. Most of these members have taken money from the manufacturer of that product, a European company called Novo Nordisk. As everyone knows, once a drug is approved for Medicare, it goes to Medicaid.”
“And there is a push to recommend Ozempic for Americans as young as six over a condition, obesity, that is completely preventable and barely even existed 100 years ago. Since 74% of Americans are obese, the cost of all of them, if they take their Ozempic prescriptions, will be $3 trillion a year. This is a drug that has made Novo Nordisk the biggest company in Europe.”
“It’s a Danish company, but the Danish government does not recommend it. It recommends a change in diet to treat obesity and exercise. Virtually Novo Nordisk’s entire value is based upon its projections of what Ozempic is going to sell to Americans. For half the price of Ozempic, we could purchase regeneratively raised organic agriculture, organic food for every American three meals a day and gym membership for every obese American.”
“Why are members of Congress doing the bidding of this Danish company instead of standing up for American farmers and children? Because Novo Nordisk is one of the largest funders of medical research, the media and politicians and the medical schools all go along with them.”.........watch..........
tulsi will be an honest check on democrat foolishness i believe;
Tulsi Gabbard took Washington by storm as she exposed the rot of deep state corruption, slamming 51 intelligence officials, Hillary Clinton, and the Democrat Party for their blatant weaponization of America’s intelligence agencies.
As she stood before the Senate Intelligence Committee for her confirmation hearing as President Trump’s pick for Director of National Intelligence, Gabbard delivered a devastating indictment of the intelligence community’s failures and abuses over the last two decades.
Gabbard, a combat veteran and former Democrat presidential candidate, wasted no time calling out the politically motivated intelligence fiascos that have cost American lives, undermined national security, and fueled dangerous global instability.
Gabbard:
For too long, faulty, inadequate, or weaponized intelligence has led to costly failures and the undermining of our national security and God-given freedoms enshrined in the Constitution. The most obvious example of one of these failures is our invasion of Iraq, based on a total fabrication or a complete failure of intelligence.This disastrous decision led to the deaths of tens of thousands of American soldiers, millions of people in the Middle East, mass migration, destabilization, and the undermining of the security and stability of our European allies. It also contributed to the rise of ISIS, the strengthening of Al Qaeda and other Islamist jihadist groups, and the empowerment of Iran.........more.......
larry johnson has some serious info on the crash it appears;
Last night’s collision over the Potomac river between a Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines regional jet inbound to Washington Reagan National airport (DCA), which left 67 people dead, was a combination of a failure by an over-taxed air traffic controller (ATC) and an error by the US Army helicopter pilot. We learned today that a job normally performed by two ATCs, was being handled by one person:
A preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration states that staffing at the Reagan National Airport’s air-traffic control tower was “not normal for the time of day and volume of traffic,” according to the New York Times. The outlet reports that one controller was directing traffic for both helicopters as well as airplanes, work that is usually divided up among more than one person.
This was an accident waiting to happen. The communications with helicopters is on a different channel than those for fixed wing aircraft. Imagine you have two cell phones and are trying to talk to two different people at the same time. A recipe for chaos and, in this case, the death.
The ATC reportedly told the helicopter pilot to look for the inbound passenger plane. What the hell? The ATC should have noted the helicopter’s altitude and ordered him or her to immediately descend. That did not happen.
But the ATC is not the only one culpable. The pilot of the Black Hawk helicopter was flying at least 200 feet above the standard altitude for a helicopter crossing the Potomac river. US military helicopters are supposed to fly at 200 feet altitude. This helicopter was traveling north from Fort Belvoir, Virginina, which is 15 miles south by air. The crew on board were performing a continuity of government exercise, which is a plan for evacuating members of the Executive branch and Congress in the event of an imminent nuclear war or other emergency. The release of the pardoned J6 political prisoners has, for the most part, gone well, but in a few instances vindictive Democrat officials still hold a few of the pardoned. It is a fluid situation, and my figures might be out of date by the time you read them.
The worst offender is the black female mayor of D.C. who at last report has not released 12 of the pardoned. Kentucky is still holding 6, and there are a few others being held here and there. Democrats in Pennsylvania were looking for a way of duplicating the pardoned federal charges with state charges in order to continue the incarceration of the pardoned political prisoners. It is possible that some of the non released J6 political prisoners have outstanding state charges unrelated to the J6 fake charges.

some very pertinent crash questions;
What in the world just happened at Reagan National Airport? Like many of you, I was deeply distressed to hear of such a great tragedy that should have been so easy to avoid. There is no way that we can bring back those that have died. Many believe that if competent people were running things at Reagan National Airport, they would still be with us. Others are entirely convinced that we aren’t being given the entire picture. There are so many unanswered questions, and I am going to share quite a few with you in this article.
But let’s start with the basics. On Wednesday evening, a Black Hawk helicopter violently collided with an American Airlines plane that was attempting to land…
A massive search and rescue effort was underway after an Army Black Hawk helicopter collided midair with an American Airlines jet at Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia, on Wednesday evening.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet collided in midair with a Sikorsky UH-60 helicopter while on approach to Runway 33 at Reagan National Airport (DCA) around 9 p.m. local time.
PSA was operating as Flight 5342 for American Airlines, and it departed from Wichita, Kansas.

trump vs the swamp this week in one area, money sent overseas;
The Donald Trump administration suspended top officials at the U.S. Agency for International Development earlier this week. The move, labeled a “Monday afternoon massacre,” was spurred by allegations that top USAID officials were circumventing President Trump’s ninety day freeze on foreign aid disbursements. Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) howled on Twitter that “Trump decimating USAID’s leadership without cause is all harm & no benefit for our national security.” But the sordid record of failed aid programs doesn’t support his caterwauling.
Foreign aid has long been the incarnation of American benevolence—at least according to the Washington elite. But presidents have sporadically conceded otherwise for more than sixty years. President John F. Kennedy promised “a dramatic turning point in the troubled history of foreign aid” in 1961. Didn’t happen. Twenty years later, President Ronald Reagan declared, “Unless a nation puts its own financial and economic house in order, no amount of aid will produce progress.” I bashed Reagan’s failed policies in a 1986 New York Times piece that labeled foreign aid “the opiate of the Third World.” In 1989, an USAID report conceded that foreign aid had been a dismal failure and urged a “radical reshaping” of U.S. assistance. the la fires have created many problems and this will be a big one especially with trump telling the mayor to let people back on their grounds now.
Specialists with the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) were leading the large-scale cleanup of the batteries Tuesday.
The Palisades Fire burned more than 36 square miles and tore through neighborhoods full of electric vehicles and solar panels after years of state-sponsored green-energy policies.
The size of the Palisades fire and number of lithium-ion batteries left behind make it one of the largest hazardous-materials cleanups that local first responders have seen, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Adam VanGerpen.
“We’ve never seen it on this scale,” VanGerpen told The Epoch Times. “We are talking a very large scale.”
Lithium-ion batteries are used in cellphones, tablets, laptops, wireless headphones, electric cars, and solar panel storage.
Many of the batteries and electric vehicles melted after they were abandoned by fleeing residents starting Jan. 7, VanGerpen said.
“We have to remove the entire vehicle,” he added.
Actor and Pacific Palisades homeowner James Woods said in a post on social media platform X Monday that the melted electric cars were “creating a real problem for safe debris removal.”
“While I am grateful to have President Trump in charge of the federal assistance so desperately needed, we can’t ignore that the electric cars have literally melted into the earth where they stood,” Woods wrote.
LAFD hazmat crews have surveyed the fire zone, searching through 6,837 destroyed homes and buildings, and 12,317 others that were damaged, according to numbers issued Tuesday by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire).

i suspect we're on the verge of hand to hand combat in the senate;
The path to making America great again has several aspects that are not negotiable. Elon Musk has built his empire on the principle of meritocracy. This is a key component for any successful venture, business or government. As the whole country now knows, the Biden administration was the complete antithesis of a meritocracy.
Although the above Tweet states that it has CONFIRMATION, no one would publicly admit that the Senate (or House) would jeopardize our nation’s leadership for the sake of a “win”. Have we succumbed in one week to compromising with evil once again? If you are thinking that this is politics as usual, I disagree. This is a prime example of the pettiness, greed, power and incompetence that destroyed our nation.
I am not counting on Donald Trump to save the nation. I am hopeful that he will put together a path forward for people to follow with a team that is qualified to do the responsibilities of their positions. In other words, he will rebuild the country through a meritocracy.
In the example listed above, all three are extremely qualified and will not only work to save the country but will work to save the people. This is what public servants are supposed to do. Now consider what the Senate is trying to do.
I am also considering what the win would be for the Senate. It is not like they are saying that we will “allow” you to have Gabbard and Patel but not Kennedy. They are saying that Trump has to sacrifice one in order to give them a win. A win for the Senate? A win for their lobbyist masters? A bargaining chip with Democrats for the future? I cannot see a positive “good” in these questions. I do see the “evil” that permeated our country to the point of its destruction.
Hopefully, if one is “sacrificed” on the altar for political posturing, Trump will use the opportunity of a recess appointment to correct this injustice. We cannot rebuild America if we once again accept evil in any form.

The Trump administration is offering buyouts to all federal employees who don’t wish to return to work at the office, in a push to significantly reduce the size of the federal workforce.
The offer, outlined in a memo the U.S. Office of Personnel Management sent to employees Tuesday, would give federal workers eight months of pay and benefits through September if they resign by Feb. 6.
“If you choose not to continue in your current role in the federal workforce, we thank you for your service to your country and you will be provided with a dignified, fair departure from the federal deferred resignation program,” the memo reads.
The move, first reported by Axios, comes after President Donald Trump signed an order last week requiring all federal workers to return to in-person work. Work-from-home policies enacted during the COVID-19 pandemic remain in place for many federal workers.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is demanding that Israel retract its order for the relief agency to leave its main office in Jerusalem.

Guest post by Robert Gore at Straight Line Logic.
In 1904, Sir Halford Mackinder, director of the London School of Economics, gave a presentation at the Royal Geographical Society that proved to be influential. “The Geographical Pivot of History” posited a World-Island: Africa Asia, and Europe, the “heartland” of which stretched from the Persian Gulf to the Siberian Sea. Mackinder later summarized his thesis: “Who rules the Heartland commands the World-Island. Who rules the World-Island commands the world.” This would become a key tenet of Britain’s foreign policy until the end of World War II. It was largely responsible for the destruction of its empire. At that point, the intellectual baton was passed to the American empire, to which it will do the same.
The problem for both British and American imperialists is that their countries are peripheral to this Heartland of the World-Island, while Russia and China are the biggest part of it. In the nineteenth century, Britain’s peripheral position was overcome by maritime and industrial prowess. Britain’s navy was the linchpin of the empire. Its shared position with the U.S. as an Industrial Revolution leader bolstered its power and led to the relentless drive for resources that was an impetus for the empire’s growth.
John Maynard Keynes once wrote: Practical men who believe themselves to be quite exempt from any intellectual influence, are usually the slaves of some defunct economist. The U.S. intellectual and political establishment are slaves to a defunct geopolitical scientist, Mackinder. That’s not to suggest that his World-Island and Heartland aren’t important, but rather to challenge the quasi-religious belief that the U.S. can subjugate and control them. It can’t, and how well it adopts to that reality will determine how the rest of the 21st century and beyond goes for the U.S..........more.......
i remember a quote that went something like: there are years where nothing happens and days where years happen. it seems like we've been having multiple days where years happen recently and i'm not sure i could put an accurate point on a calendar when it began, but if true this post would qualify as a biggie;
Tucker Carlson has unleashed international controversy this week when in an interview with journalist Matt Taibbi, Carlson claimed that former Secretary of State Antony Blinken had pushed for a “real war” with Russia and that the Biden administration sought to “kill Putin.”
The former Fox News host described the plot as madness and insanity on the part of the prior Democratic administration. However, Carlson didn’t offer specifics or any evidence. We’ve recently reported how many gun owners and gun-rights groups are urging President Donald Trump to eliminate the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Now, the agency has provided yet president another reason to consider that action.
A federal lawmaker is accusing ATF leaders of attempting to circumvent President Trump’s executive order to ban diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. According to a report from thenationaldesk.com, U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Missouri, stated that the ATF changed a job title to skirt the ban instead of eliminating a DEI position within the agency as directed by the president.
According to Burlison, that is yet another reason the agency should be eliminated, rather than reformed as some suggest.
“The ATF defied @realDonaldTrump’s order to place DEI workers on leave, instead giving their DEI officer a new title,” Burlison wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “They attack citizens’ rights, ignore leadership and act as though they’re above the law. Enough is enough. Time to abolish the ATF!”..........more.......
