kunstler speaks in a longer than usual essay about where we are and where we're heading. i agree with much of what he presents but have great issue with his stand on israel. israel is a criminal enterprise and nothing they touch will have a chance of being useful or positive. he gets our current state quite accurate from where i stand;

The madness is distributed over many realms of American life, with the common denominator of a thinking class fallen into disordered thinking. The disorder is led by the information media and higher education with their crypto-Gnostic agendas for transforming human nature to heal the world (in theory).
