we currently inhabit wonderland. i expect to see the trump having his minions paint the white roses orange. nothing makes sense in the ways it has in my advanced years and i study history. like the real stuff, and not the crap they advance in high school; 

 

Things are getting absurd. Well, things have been absurd for quite some time now, to varying degrees. But the frequency with which we are seeing strange and outright perplexing things take place that makes it feel like we're living in some sort of inverted Twilight Zone world, or perhaps some spin-off of Idiocracy, does appear to be occurring with more regularity as of late.

The sociopolitical situation here in the United States is becoming increasingly ludicrous, some could argue deliberately so. Yet as much as we would like to ignore the bizarre and asinine of the reality that we find ourselves in, it's important to face it head-on to recognize it for what it actually is: a symptom of the greater systemic issues that we all face.

Perhaps some might not be exactly aware of what it is we are referring to, either through virtue of simply not noticing, or having tuned out their attention to such things. So allow us to elucidate upon some of the more preposterous and even disturbing developments worthy of note to illustrate our point.
