In less than a week, Israel has committed several massacres against the hungry. On Sunday, March 3, Israel bombed an aid convoy, killing 7 people. But the most infamous incident was on February 29, in what has come to be known as the “flour massacre” on al-Rashid Street, near the Nabulsi roundabout west of Gaza City. Israel killed over 115 starving people on that day, while over 750 people were injured.

Faris Elewya, 52, a resident of the Sha’af area east of Gaza City, told Mondoweiss what he saw. When he left his house, only two reasons justified braving the warzone that was northern Gaza. The first was the image of his starving family, made up of five children, and the second was the hope of returning with some flour to show for his trouble.

“I left the house not knowing what day it was,” he said. “And I don’t know what day it is now as I talk to you.”

“I had heard that anyone who goes to the Nabulsi area west of Gaza can find the aid trucks passing through the north. I didn’t hesitate. Even if I was taking a risk, it’s better than watching my family starve to death,” he continued. 

After walking for three hours, he reached the Nabulsi roundabout, where he found throngs of people already waiting for the convoy to arrive. There was hardly any room left for people to move, as some had brought their entire families with them to try and carry as much aid as they could get their hands on. Some had set up camp in the area the night before — the Nabulsi roundabout has become the first stop for any aid convoy arriving in the north — and had gathered stray firewood to keep warm as they waited.

Near the roundabout was an Israeli checkpoint guarded by several military vehicles. The army had placed its checkpoints at Gaza City’s two main entrances, the Nabulsi roundabout on Gaza’s coastline, and another site near the Kuwaiti roundabout on Salah al-Din Street. This convoy’s designated route passed through the coastal road. 

“People gathered in the vicinity of the vehicles, given their proximity to the gathering point,” Eleywa said. “But no one wanted to do anything to the tanks or the soldiers. Everyone there had only one objective: to find food for their families.”  

“Usually, people receive aid by taking it off the trucks that pass through,” he added. “But this time, when the trucks entered, people swarmed the trucks in hysteria because of the famine.”........more...........

Last week, former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss gave us a stonker of a revelation which, I believe deserves to be set to the record. Truss appeared in Steve Bannon‘s War Room and said this:

“What I found out when I got into No. 10 is, I thought that if I got to the top of the tree, I would be able to implement those conservative policies… And what I discovered was that I was not holding the levers. The levers were held by the Bank of England, by the Office of Budget Responsibility, they weren’t held by the Prime Minister or the Chancellor…”

Truss goes on to point out the obvious problem with this: you can sack the Prime Minister, but you can’t sack the BOE officials who hold the levers of power. Around the same time of this revelation, Glenn Beck dropped a similar clue. In his interview with Tucker Carlson published on 21 February 2024 he shared a story of his encounter with George W. Bush:

I thought of something George Bush told me in the Oval Office. I was asking about the policies and how they were going to change, and he said, “Glenn, don’t worry, whoever sits behind this desk, in that chair, is going to have the same advice given by the same advisors and they’ll realize, the President’s hands are tied.” I walked out of that room horrified… Why do we even have elections?”

What G. W. Bush had revealed to Beck and what Liz Truss discovered when she got to the top of the tree, has been the defining feature behind our “democracies” for a very long time. Former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli said in 1844 that, “The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.” Sir William Pitt, Prime Minister in 1770 said that, “There is something behind the throne greater than the King himself.”

An International Conference: Where is the World Headed?, Argentina, February 23-24, 2024

On February 23, I addressed an important international conference, or congress as it was called, organized by Norma Pimienta in Argentina. The conference addressed international concerns about the failure of Western leadership to put the world on a peaceful path.  Also addressed was the problem of the privatization of government throughout the world.  Even in the democracies the elites who control government use government for their benefit and not for the benefit of the people.  Powerful countries in the West, such as the USA, and in past times much of Europe, use financial power and their currencies’ value as reserves to control Latin American, African, Arab, and Asian countries.  The Western world’s control over others has prevented the normal economic and social development of much of the world. How is it that the West, which professes democracy, does not permit it?

I used my opportunity to address the congress to speak about the importance of truth and of the determination of the elites who control America to destroy all vestiges of truth because truth stands in their way.

The Western world comprises the first empire in history that is destroying itself and the institutions of freedom to which the West gave birth:  government accountable to the people, a rule of law in which law serves as a shield of the people instead of as a weapon in the hands of rulers, respect for life and property, free speech and free inquiry in order to prevent proclamations of self-interest and ideologies from becoming unchallenged agendas.

All of these defenses erected to protect truth and freedom have been dismantled throughout the West.

Truth is dying, and truth has fewer and fewer defenders.  Defenders of truth are labeled “enemies of the state.”

Everywhere in the Western world to speak the truth when it contradicts an “official explanation” is a certain way to trouble.

The USA is a runaway train with a dead man in the engineer’s seat. The conductor goes through the cars assuring the passengers that everything is fine. . . never mind the screeching wheels on the curves. . . or the blinding strobe effect of low sunlight passing through the trees out the window at a hundred and forty mph. . . or the bump that made half the stuff in the overhead luggage rack jump out. More than half the people on-board are at tachycardia levels of fright — some are screeching — but the other less than half just remain fixed on their phones and laptop screens. They can’t be bothered to look out the window. . . .

     Okay, that’s a metaphor. But if you’re a citizen of our country and care about it, these are the matters you’d better pay attention to, because they are all going off the rails:

     The war in Ukraine. We started it in 2014 to mess with Russia and Russia is going to finish it. Who knows what our real motives were. A resource grab? A desperate ploy to erase our national debt by creating a global fiasco? Sheer psychopathic hatred of this Putin fellow? We can’t bring ourselves to acknowledge the failure of this ill-conceived venture. Instead, our feckless allies in Europe are foolishly rattling their sabers, apparently forgetting that you to don’t bring a sword to a nuclear missile fight.

     Mr. Macron in France affects to offer up his army for slaughter on the blood-soaked plains of Ukraine, just as the Ukrainians offered up a half a million of their young men so that Victoria Nuland could feel good about herself. Mr. Macron is insane, but the society he presides over is collectively insane, so perhaps he represents them well. Similarly, Olaf Scholz in Germany, whose top generals were caught on a leaked recording last week discussing their plan to blow up the Kerch Bridge that connects Crimea to Russia. Do you understand that this would be a direct attack on Russia, an act of War by NATO? And what the obvious consequence would be?

     The phantom government of “Joe Biden” is too weak and mindless to join any negotiation. Ukraine and Russia are up to some kind of cross-talk down in Riyadh with Prince MBS. Even Mr. Zelensky went down for a day, though video appears to show him coked-up, sniffling and snarfling, not a good sign. If ever there was a time to end this stupid conflict, it’s now, before the Russian election. After that, terms will only be more difficult for Ukraine, up to direct custodial supervision instead of remaining a nation. It was never any of our business (though the Biden family, BlackRock, and the CIA saw fabulous opportunity to profit there).........more......

The Heritage Foundation has put together a 920 page book called “Mandate for Leadership" in PDF, for free. It details the changes they would make, day #1 of a Trump second term. The reason I bring this up, is it shows that there could be a plan to save America from the Administrative State. It is possible. Even acknowledging that the communists that currently run Washington would fight it tooth and nail, lawsuit after lawsuit, the authors of the book know that too.

This is a landmark work of extreme importance. I would take it and use it to rebuild a state or a confederation of states, but this is what should have been done in the first Trump presidency, not the second. Now, we’re locked in a death struggle with the world, holding back a Chinese and Islamist invasion with toilet paper as a border.

We’re too far down the rabbit hole of debt to ever emerge and people like Mike Johnson are just handing us shovels to go deeper. This continuing resolution that they just passed denies the overwhelming leverage the House has with the border issue. Securing the border now has almost 80% support, but Johnson refused to use shutting down the government as leverage until Biden shuts down the border. As an added poke in the eye, they did nothing about the spiraling debt or the Pelosi-era spending rate. Inflation continues to pile on and it’s clear as a bell that Washington cannot be reformed soon enough to solve any of these issues.

I compare that to the wildfires in the Texas Panhandle, where I live. A disaster, yes, but the people and resources deployed by the citizens themselves have been quick and relentless. People opening up their land for displaced cattle, donations of food, clothing, water and arrangements to provide hay, or transport cattle, even from other states, where several cattle trucks were sent to move the cattle that had their pastures burnt. That is the greatness and the power of Americans. We’ve seen it in every disaster. It works, because there are no regulations against it, red-tape laws that prevent it. Soon there will be, because there is not one thing the people do that the government can allow. It must have total control over every aspect.
