Keene, NH — Since General John Stark coined the phrase in 1809, the state motto of New Hampshire has been “Live Free or Die.” As the police state continues to encroach on our freedoms and oppress individuals, this motto has become laughable as prisons are filled with non-violent drug offenders and victimless “criminals.” The state should definitely rethink this motto, especially considering the following case of a child tackled by a cop for walking away from him. Perhaps the new motto should read, “Live as free as we arbitrarily say you can and if you get too free, we will tackle you from behind and beat your ass.” Yeah, that sounds much more accurate. 

A disturbing video has gone viral this week because it shows a school resource officer at Keene High School tackling a non-violent teen from behind and slamming him to the ground — for allegedly vaping in a bathroom and then walking away.

As the video shows, the teen is merely walking out of the bathroom when the officer follows him out, jumps on his back with his arms wrapped around, and slams him into the wall before smashing him into the ground. The entire situation appeared to be an completely unnecessary escalation of violence by the officer. However, the police department sees it quite differently.

Just days after the video went viral, police had already concluded that Officer Joshua English acted appropriately when he jumped on top of the non-violent teen and tackled him to the ground for allegedly vaping and walking away.

“Officer (Joshua) English’s response to this resistance was reviewed, including the review of KHS surveillance camera footage of the incident,” Police Chief Steven Russo said in a statement on Monday. “Officer English’s response was determined to be within KPD policy and procedure, and in compliance with the New Hampshire Use of Force Statute.”

Apparently, it is okay for police officers to initiate violence against children who walk away from them. The boy’s father, who says his son was battered and bruised from the incident, disagrees.

According to the boy’s father, who asked not to be named, his son has been caught vaping before and was merely given a ticket as it is against school policy to vape on campus. a clear example of why few trust the cops;

New York, NY — Despite marijuana being legal in some form in over half the country, police officers across the country still take pride in kidnapping, caging, and even killing people they catch with this plant. Despite a major majority of Americans supporting legal weed, cops still go out of their way to prosecute people for possessing it, even CBD. The ridiculous nature of depriving people of their freedom over a plant came to a head this week in New York after “hero” cops took to bragging about a massive “marijuana” bust. But because these cops were so gung-ho on arresting people for a plant, they are now the laughing stock of the internet after they bragged about seizing 106 pounds of entirely LEGAL hemp.

The hemp was bound for a CBD dealer in New York who resells the highly beneficial product to cancer patients. This medicine would never make it to the cancer sufferers, however, because a FedEx driver, apparently indoctrinated by the see something say something campaign, saw the legal flora and called the police.

Despite the shipment having all the legal documentation and paperwork showing that it was legal hemp for CBD, officers with the NYPD’s 75th precinct confiscated it, laid it out, and took their trophy photo to blast out on the internet. It is amazing how many police department still continue to post pictures of pot busts considering they are met with backlash and ridicule every single time they do it. Nevertheless, they still did it.

the best solution, identified in this article, won't happen at least for a while because too many of 'our' rulers make too much money from it;

Nine Americans-including three women and six children-were gunned down by drug cartel members in Mexico’s northern state of Sonora. Eight young children survived the gunmen’s attack. Although violence of this type occurs in Mexico on a regular basis this attack caught the attention of the American news media due to the citizenship of those killed.  They were U.S. citizens with dual Mexican citizenship.  And it was a horrible attack.

Both President Trump and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) have come up with solutions to stop the cartel violence.

President Trump made his solution very clear in the following tweet:

“If Mexico needs or requests help in cleaning out these monsters, the United States stands ready, willing & able to get involved and do the job quickly and effectively,” Trump tweeted. “The great new President of Mexico has made this a big issue, but the cartels have become so large and powerful that you sometimes need an army to defeat an army!”

Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador refused the offer and proposed his own solution-“hugs not bullets.”  Obrador also thinks that helping the poor is in some way going to affect the way the drug cartels operate.

Both leaders are dead wrong. There is only one way to end the drug cartel violence in Mexico and that is to end the drug war by legalizing all drugs immediately.  This would also end the drug violence we see in cities across the United States.  When alcohol prohibition was ended we didn’t see Coors and Budweiser shooting it out on the street for territory. They had courts to take care of business.  They no longer needed mobsters. And when drugs are legalized we will see the same peaceful transition.

The drug war industrial complex is very big and very powerful.  There are only a few politicians who would dare to propose legalization of all drugs.  But this is what is needed if we want to end the cartel violence in Mexico and here in the United States.

The cartel violence we have seen take thousands upon thousands of lives in Mexico is blowback from our failed domestic policy on drugs.  It is the U.S. demand for drugs that drives the market and the violence.  We are at least partially responsible for the failed Mexican state. A state where every politician and every policeman are corrupt.

As a former frontline drug warrior I know ending the drug war is the only way out of this mess.  All the task forces, narcotics courts, and military cooperation will not stop it.

The US war in Syria is undergoing a dramatic change in recent weeks. Simply looking at President Trump’s Twitter, the impression is the war ended, then restarted, and went from being about ISIS to about oil.

The Pentagon isn’t operating based off Trump’s Twitter, however, and that’s unfortunate for commanders, as they have been scrambling around to oil fields without any actual orders or clear missions of what they’re supposed to be doing.

It’s a confusing time to be part of America’s war in Syria, as clearly the war is something about oil, and the presence of the US troops at oil reflects that. Troops aren’t even clear who they’re supposed to be protecting the oil from, or what the rules of engagement are with respect to protecting the oil.

Top officials aren’t clarifying that, either, sometimes presenting the US as keeping the oil from ISIS, or away from Iran, and other times flat out saying they are there to keep Syria’s oil from Syria. Trump is more specific about his ambitions to take the oil, than filling in the huge gaps in that plan.

Some defense officials are saying the lack of orders is because there haven’t been any decisions made yet on what the troops are going to do at the oilfields, beyond going there. Yesterday I started a thread on Twitter lamenting the fact that support for WikiLeaks and Julian Assange has been eroded all across the political spectrum since 2016 by the establishment smear campaign.

I started the thread because I’d just been reflecting on how some of the first clumsy articles I ever wrote for this gig were basically just me marvelling at how support for Assange had united Berners, Trumpers, Greens, anarchists, libertarians and hackers against those who sought to silence him. Yet today I routinely see people from those factions smearing him because, at some point between then and now, an establishment propaganda narrative got through to them.
