Hopes for a peaceful start to the New Year in the United States was shattered around 3am in New Orleans, when Shamsud-Din Jabbar, reportedly a former member of the US Army and a failed realtor, drove a pickup truck into the crowd in the party center of New Orleans and exited the vehicle firing into the crowd. He was killed in an exchange of gunfire with police. There are 15 dead celebrants as I am writing this, and more than 30 wounded.

Then, a few hours later, a Tesla truck blew up outside the Trump Tower in Las Vegas, killing one and wounding seven. Are these incidents connected? Maybe........more.........
