question is this the level of chess that cheeto would be playing? maybe if so, it was flynn who posited these moves.

cheeto nominated gaetz knowing he wouldn't get thru the senate but to let us all know where his intentions lay with other goals in mind. gaetz being part of the movie resigned as soon as he was nominated. 

then cheeto nominates the little cuban senator from the same general area of fla as gaetz just before gaetz withdraws from the ag nomination leaving him w/o a job. desantis has to fill rubio's seat and now has gaetz available, suddenly. handy replacement that includes some theoretical spitting in faces. cheeto knows that rubio is not of his world and also knows the senate will usher him thru being from their world. this leaves rubio essentially dangling like coyote over an abyss in the middle of chasing the road runner. easily disposed of and out of the senate leaving gaetz in that seat tilting things a bit for cheeto. 

next cheeto replaces gaetz with a blond from fla who was involved in a famous shooting of a visiting black teen in a hoodie with a security guard. large messy trial. lots of noise. stand your ground. flaming libruls. she seems to be the flyer on this otherwise centered target picture.
