Colorado cop who passed out drunk in his patrol car in uniform will NOT be charged as DA slams his colleagues for helping him 'beat the system' by ignoring 'damning evidence'

• Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler announced Thursday that his office is unable to bring DUI charges against Officer Nathan F Meier 
• Brauchler accused the Aurora Police Department of intentionally conducting its investigation in a way that would shield the officer
• Meier was found passed out in his car while on duty last March 
• Officers responding to a 911 call about the incident could be heard on body camera footage saying that they smelled alcohol on Meier
• However, Meier's blood alcohol level was never tested at the scene  
• Meier later admitted that he'd gone home during his shift and drank a bottle of vodka, confessing that he was 'impaired' when he passed out
• Still, APD insisted there was not enough evidence to press charges against him
