Yet Friday’s Trump v. CASA case included a virtual slugfest between Justice Amy Coney Barrett and Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

The decision was one of the biggest of the term. The Court moved to free the Administration from an onslaught of orders from district judges seeking to block the President in areas ranging from the downsizing of government to immigration.

It’s a complicated dynamic, but not so complicated that we cannot understand the motives.   Prior to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard taking office, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence had no problems with the DNI office.  However, with DNI Gabbard now stretching her wings to diminish the CIA, suddenly the Senate seeks to control the DNI.

Tulsi Gabbard had been shrinking the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) since she took office; from 2,000 to roughly 1,600 and dropping.   SSCI Chairman Tom Cotton now wants to cap the office staff at 650, sending the remaining intelligence community operatives back to the CIA and other agencies..........more.......

What most Americans do not know is that Israel was helping Iran fight Iraq. Israel began supplying weapons to Iran in early 1980, shortly after the outbreak of the Iran–Iraq War. The first documented sale was of tires for the F-4 Phantom fighter jet, which occurred after Iran, unable to secure military equipment from the United States, reached out to Israel through back channels.

Substantial and large-scale arms sales began in 1981, including the transfer of significant military equipment such as antitank guns, artillery shells, spare parts for tanks and aircraft, and TOW missiles as part of what was known as Operation Seashell. These sales continued throughout the early 1980s, with Israel becoming a major supplier of arms to Iran during the conflict.
