ITS NOT WATERBOARDING IF

 caitlin speaks about her favorite subject;

Warmongering senator Tom Cotton made an interesting comment during the confirmation hearings for Tulsi Gabbard the other day which acknowledged the mostly unspoken truth that the US government cares less about whether the nations it partners with are free and democratic than how well they serve US interests.

“In a fallen world, we have to take our friends where we find them,” Cotton said. “No question, stable democracies make the most stable friends, but what matters in the end is less whether a country is democratic or non-democratic, and more whether the country is pro-American or anti-American.”

“I’ll confess that those views may be somewhat unconventional, but look at where conventional thinking has got us,” Cotton added.

Far from being unconventional, the senator from Arkansas is simply stating out loud the standard foreign policy orthodoxy which all Beltway swamp monsters share but tend to keep between themselves. It’s not very often you hear a US empire manager come right out and admit they only care about planetary hegemony and that their whole schtick about spreading freedom and democracy is a sham. They’ll pick a US crony dictator over a sovereign democratically elected leader ten times out of ten...........more.....

 it was revolting;

Ronald Lee Wyden, a Democrat from Oregon, dares to call RFK a fraud when, in fact, according to Open Secrets, he took $1,207,873 from the Pharmaceutical Industry and will vote against RFK, Jr. because I do not believe that Wyden is representing the people of Oregon, but Big Pharma.

There is no question that people have died from the COVID-19 Vaccines—countless stories on the side effects of blood clots. My lawyer suffered from that and can no longer fly. I have one fellow who works for me, and his family cannot get any vaccine. They have a severe reaction to even a flu shot. The simple fact is that we are all NOT the same. Some had no problems, and for others, it was a nightmare. The state should by no means MANDATE any health procedure. They argue that a woman’s body is their own, so abortion is her right, but it ends there. Our bodies are not our own when it comes to vaccines since Big Pharma pays our politicians well to have no liability and mandatory compliance. Wyden changes his position, it seems, based on the money flow.

Watching the actions of Ronald Lee Wyden was revolting. This is a conflict of interest, and he should NOT be on any such committee if not in prison for the appearance of selling his vote to the highest bidder. Like Trump’s family issuing crypto, sorry, it is a conflict of interest as Hunter Biden was banking on his dad’s position. This is just sleazy. Trump should have shut down his family just as the Senate should bar anyone taking money from Big Pharma and voting on anything that impacted the people funding them. Wyden has been in office since he was 31 years old.......

 always clear, james carville on the kamala;

James Carville has been complaining about his party for months and now he is telling everyone what he really thought of Kamala Harris as a candidate. It’s not good.

He threw Harris under the bus as a ‘seventh string’ quarterback who ‘couldn’t put together a sentence.’

Carville made the remarks during a live event for Firing Line.

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

JAMES CARVILLE: We ran a presidential election. If we were playing a Super Bowl, we started our 7th-string quarterback. That’s what happened.

You can’t address a problem unless you’re honest about a problem. And none of this was inevitable. Now, if you were to put the staggering talent that exists in today’s Democratic Party, you heard what I said?

If you had the staggering talent that exists in today’s Democratic Party, and people would have seen that, they’d have gone, I didn’t know they had people like that, can actually complete a sentence, okay, that actually can know how to frame a message, that actually have a sense of accomplishment of doing something. If we would have excited people, and we would have had people from the middle of the country, we would have had people from the coast, we’d have been diverse, we’d have been, and then when you do that, that’s how people get involved in politics. We have not had an inspirational presidential candidate since 2012.

That’s a problem...........more.........

 rebuilding gaza;

It’s been almost two weeks since the ceasefire came into effect in Gaza City, yet I haven’t adjusted to the calm we were deprived of for so many months.

Fifteen months of war stripped me of my humanity, comfort, and freedom. I even seem to have lost my ability to cry, even though everything around me — broken homes, shattered dreams — begs for tears. My mind feels tangled, my body tense, and my heart heavy. Normalcy feels like a distant stranger I don’t know how to welcome.

I imagined that the end of the war would bring relief and freedom to walk the streets without fear. But while I now walk without the dread of airstrikes, I feel like a newcomer to the city where I was born and raised.

The scars of war are everywhere, and I can’t look away. A bombed-out house. A charred mosque. A burned-down shop. A bulldozed street. A torn and empty tent. The acrid smell of ash lingers in the air. Broken glass crunches underfoot. Everywhere I turn, rubble whispers stories of what once was. The sights echo the deafening sound of shelling that defined 470 days of war...........more.......
