We reported recently how a federal lawmaker had introduced legislation in an attempt to stop unnecessary surveillance of lawful gun owners through the use of Flock cameras.

Specifically, the measure, introduced by U.S. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tennessee, would prohibit federal agencies from purchasing or accessing automated surveillance systems that identify, track, or record people.

The viral video that put Eagle Sports Range in the spotlight

Now, Flock cameras and gun owners are in the news again, as the controversy over such cameras photographing people entering and exiting a Wisconsin gun range recently reached the boiling point. Flock cameras were recently spotted by a woman visiting Eagle Sports Range at 2525 E. Layton Avenue in Cudahy, Wisconsin, and she made a video of herself talking about the cameras.

“I decided to go to the gun range today, you know, like an American, and tell me why there are Flock cameras pointing into the entrance of the parking lot,” the woman posted on social media. “Not the street — into the entrance so they can read every license plate that comes in here. I’m sure there’s no ulterior motive behind this either.”..........more..........
