The UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with the US President Joe Biden in the White House on Friday with the question of the use of long-range missiles by Ukraine to hit deep inside Russia on their agenda of conversation. But there were no announcements, nor was there any joint press conference.

Starmer later told the media that the talks were “productive” but concentrated on “strategy” rather than a “particular step or tactic”. He did not signal any decision on allowing Kiev to fire long-range missiles into Russia.

Starmer said no final decision had been taken on the Storm Shadow missiles and hinted that further developments may follow at the gathering of the UN General Assembly later this month. “We’ll obviously pick up again in UNGA in just a few days time with a wider group of individuals,” he said.

One reason for such extreme secrecy is that the US and UK are intensely conscious of the Russian President Vladimir Putin’s explicit warning on Thursday that any use of western long-range missiles to strike Russia “will mean that NATO countries, the United States, and European countries are parties to the war in Ukraine. This will mean their direct involvement in the conflict, and it will clearly change the very essence, the very nature of the conflict dramatically.”

Putin added in measured words: “This will mean that NATO countries – the United States and European countries –- are at war with Russia. And if this is the case, then, bearing in mind the change in the essence of the conflict, we will make appropriate decisions in response to the threats that will be posed to us.”.........more.........

Many of us who are not communists are – maybe hopeful isn’t the right word – at least wanting him rather than her to ascend to the elected monarchy Americans still refer to, out of habit, as the presidency.

Because, of course, Trump is at least not a communist. It’s a measure of our desperation. Like a starving man wanting that piece of corn he sees in a pile of dung. Better than nothing. Trump is what we all know he is. But he has the virtue of not being her (or him, the thing from Minnesota that would be second-in-line should she ascend to the monarchy).

Anyhow, many of us hope it might be better. But what if it got even worse?

What if that’s what the communists intend?

Imagine the scenario. Trump manages to not lose to Harris, a thing that ought to be easy but isn’t because Trump’s appeal is limited to those who voted for him last time, which isn’t enough to keep him from losing again, this time. Maybe – given how bad things are for most people now – more people who didn’t vote for him last time will this time. Maybe enough to make it too blatant to deny him a win, this time. This is certainly a reasonable plan – and supposition.

 i have a long time friend who has been telling me this since the nineties. couldn't make the leap. i thought how could this be in the land of freedom of speech, press, and more. when i finally saw it i suspect the experience was almost like those who in a flash of meditation see the meaning of life. the mockingbird media, see operation mockingbird in your spare time, are fully owned and operated by those who aren't our friends;

David Sacks, the Silicon Valley billionaire who is supporting Trump, recently called out the mainstream media as little more than propaganda.

He’s right, of course. The media loves to accuse others of spreading misinformation, conveniently forgetting that they pushed the Russia collusion hoax for years and insisted that the Hunter Biden laptop wasn’t real.

The thing about the media, is that once you see what they really do, you can’t unsee it.

And the turning point for me in realizing this was COVID, I think before COVID, I realized that yeah, you know, the media is, the mainstream media is largely consists of liberals, so they’re gonna have a liberal bias. What we saw during COVID was that they were even lying about science, right? It wasn’t just politics, it’s like everything.

You know, we were told that the pandemic was a pandemic of the unvaccinated, even though, even if you got the, what they were calling the vaccine, it didn’t actually stop the spread. You go on and on that, you know, we had to basically do social distancing, except when the riots of 2020 happened, then you’re allowed to go outside and actually participate because of social justice cause. So therefore, the health changes.

I mean, it was like on and on. No church, but you can go to a protest. Right, right.

So no surfing. So it was like, for me, it became so obvious that, that the media is just, again, it goes way beyond bias. You know, it’s like, it’s just all wrong.

Ukraine and Israel both share at least one thing in common — they are desperate and flailing about trying to get the United States directly involved in their respective wars. Ukraine is being steadily pushed out of the Donbass and Kursk, and suffering terrible losses in the process, and its leaders, with Zelensky leading the charge, are trying to pursue a course of action that would bring the United States and NATO directly into the fighting. In other words, provoke Russia to expand its operations by attacking NATO targets in retaliation for NATO assistance in hitting Russian territory with so-called “long-range missiles.”

Israel, for its part, has failed to eradicate Hamas after 11 months of fighting, its economy is in shambles — thanks in part to the Houthis shutting down port activities in Eilat — and it has been unable to stop Hezbollah’s attacks on northern Israel. Israel, like Ukraine, has embarked on a strategy of provocation — i.e., hit Iranian and Hezbollah targets and hope that they will take retaliatory measures that will create political pressure in the United States to intervene and fight alongside Israel.

So far, neither Russia nor Hezbollah/Iran have taken the bait. Let’s start with Russia. The strategic picture on the ground all along the battle front in Ukraine has shifted decisively in Russia’s favor. Ukrainian forces are trapped in Kursk and are in the clutches of a Russian military boa constrictor. The Ukrainians are isolated, low on ammunition and food, and have no secure means of resupply. Meanwhile, in the Donbass, the noose is tightening as well. The Russian military announced today that it is destroying all rail and bridge links to Pokrovsk aka Krasnoarmeysk, which will leave Ukrainian troops without a reliable means of resupply.
