I said immediately following the guilty verdict from the biased and manipulated New York City jury, that District Attorney Alvin Bragg “just elevated President Trump to countercultural icon status.” [link]  The reason is simple, Americans inherently sense corruption, unfairness and can feel when something is profoundly wrong.

While many Americans may not fully understand the granular issues at the heart of the Lawfare cases, they know President Trump has not done anything wrong in comparative scale to the attacks and vitriol leveled against him.  This “sense” of bearing witness to gross injustice creates an outcome of support for the person being targeted.

Icons are created when the regime in power defines outlaws, while the injustice within the definition makes them heroes to the public.  President Trump went from being the greatest political influence in modern history to being a countercultural icon as soon as the jury reached their biased and manipulated decision.

It is with this context in mind we now watch the political evolution of Donald Trump continue.  Do not underestimate the scale of this move.

Entering the game of gaslighting comes one of the most politically conniving narrative engineers in media, George Stephanopoulos.   Today, during an interview with President Trump attorney Will Scharf, Stephanopoulos attempts to claim the Biden administration was not involved in the Alvin Bragg case against President Trump.

Speaking on “ABC’s This Week,” Stephanopoulos claimed, “of course, the attorney general of Manhattan has nothing to do with the Department of Justice.”  Scharf replied: “I vehemently disagree that the district attorney in New York was not politically motivated here, and I vehemently disagree that President Biden and his political allies aren’t up to their necks in this prosecution.”  WATCH:.........more......

Little illustrates Washington’s diplomacy on Israel’s genocide in Gaza better than the temporary pier the US military constructed at great cost to bring aid to the territory’s 2.3 million people suffering an engineered famine that is nearing catastrophic levels.

Announced in early March – and always a ludicrous idea when the US could have simply insisted that Israel keep land crossings open, saving the $320 million construction cost – the pier finally became operational on 17 May.

For its first five days, no aid that arrived there was distributed.

Then high waves washed away some of the vessels meant to deliver aid, causing further disruption.

Finally, the pier itself broke apart on 28 May, just 11 days after it was deemed operational. The entire structure will now be removed and taken to Ashdod port for repairs.

Costly and incompetently executed, the pier was a direct result of a pronounced unwillingness in Washington to directly confront Israel over its gross restrictions on aid into Gaza. Doctors Without Borders says those restrictions have reduced the delivery of humanitarian aid to nearly nothing after the Israeli military seized control of Gaza’s border with Egypt in early May.

And the administration’s latest ceasefire proposal” is already going the same way as the last one, and will simply founder unless the US is prepared to give it teeth with sanctions and an arms embargo.

That would seem highly unlikely given the US administration’s timid approach and its wholesale support for Israel’s genocidal violence in Gaza so far.........more........

How Phony “Civil Rights” Put Your Life in Danger

A recent story revealed that one-third to one-half of the students at the prestigious UCLA School of Medicine are unqualified. These students belong to racial and ethnic minorities; most are blacks and Latinos. One student couldn’t identify a major artery when questioned by a surgeon during an operation.

Would you want a “doctor” like that to treat you? Isn’t the purpose of a medical school to train competent physicians? Why, then, were these unqualified people admitted? The answer is that the medical school was following the DEI guidelines. “DEI” stands for “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” and supports preferences for racial minorities. The school wants certain kinds of “diversity” and not others. It certainly isn’t looking for students who oppose racial set-asides, even though they would be “diverse” from the lockstep leftwing majority that dominates academic life.

What can we do about this? The person who first posted about the situation on X, aka Twitter, thinks people should sue the school. Affirmative action is illegal in California, but preferential admissions are clearly “affirmative action,” whatever the school chooses to call them. He thinks that DEI standards, correctly applied, lead to true “equality of opportunity.”

As the great legal scholar Dr. Wanjiru Njoya has pointed out, this “solution” is worse than useless. Universities have a lot of experience in defending against claims that their admissions programs are unfair, so it’s unlikely the people who sue would prevail. HIAS gets hundreds of millions of dollars in US funding through the Office of Refugees Resettlement (ORR). ORR was created by Brandon Biden as part of the Department of Health and Human Services in the federal government. (Note: just a reminder for how bloated and excessive the federal government is. There is NOTHING in the Constitution that allows for these unfettered agencies that are created on the whim of the president.)

Check out the ORR website here, and note near the bottom of the list of agencies that are getting matching grants from YOUR money.

You’ll see that HIAS is listed as one of those agencies.

HIAS spends YOUR tax dollars on getting 500,000 ILLEGALS all the way from South America and Central America into the USA.

You might think that the poor immigrants should get the red carpet welcome wagon treatment. After all, think of the deplorable conditions they are escaping, not to mention the risks these asylum seekers face while trying to escape to a better life.

The State Department under Antony Blinken falsified a report to "absolve Israel of responsibility for blocking humanitarian aid flows into Gaza," the Guardian reports.

Blinken had his underlings overrule the advice of the State Department's own experts on the issue to ensure that US weapons kept flowing to Israel to aid in their ethnic cleansing campaign.

The state department falsified a report earlier this month to absolve Israel of responsibility for blocking humanitarian aid flows into Gaza, overruling the advice of its own experts, according to a former senior US official who resigned this week.

Stacy Gilbert left her post as senior civil military adviser in the state department's bureau of population, refugees and migration, on Tuesday. She had been one of the department's subject matter experts who drafted the report mandated under national security memorandum 20 (NSM-20) and published on 10 May.

The NSM-20 report found that it was "reasonable to assess" that Israel had used US weapons in a way that was "inconsistent" with international humanitarian law, but that there was not enough concrete evidence to link specific US-supplied weapons to violations.

Even more controversially, the report said the state department did not "currently assess that the Israeli government is prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport or delivery of US humanitarian assistance" in Gaza.

It was a high-stakes judgment because under a clause in the Foreign Assistance Act, the US would be obliged to cut arms sales and security assistance to any country found to have blocked delivery of US aid...........more......
