 We’ve reported several times how the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives under new Director Robert Cekada has begun a series of reforms aimed at eliminating some of the unnecessarily burdensome rules and regulations promulgated by the Biden Administration.

Raskin and McBath lead 17 Democrats in demanding the reforms be rolled back

While gun-rights groups have embraced the reforms as positive movement in the right direction, gun-ban groups have warned of dangerous consequences — their favorite argument when they don’t have facts to rely on. Now, a group of anti-gun Democrat lawmakers have sent a letter to Cekada urging him to put an end to the reforms and go back to the Biden status quo.

The letter, led by Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Maryland, and Rep. Lucy McBath, D-Georgia, calls the reforms “dangerous” and says the new rules would “dramatically roll back longstanding firearms safeguards and undermine public safety.”
