State Department Won’t Say If It’s Working to Free US Citizen Detained in Ukraine

The State Department has refused to say if it’s engaging with the Ukrainian government over American citizen Gonzalo Lira, who was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) due to his political views on the conflict with Russia.

Lira has a popular YouTube channel and a large following on Twitter and Telegram. He is also a writer who has contributed to several media outlets, including Business Insider. Lira was born in California and is a dual citizen of the US and Chile and had been living in Kharkiv, Ukraine, throughout the war.

Lira is a critic of the Ukrainian government and was arrested by the SBU on charges of justifying the Russian invasion. “After the start of the full-scale invasion, the blogger was one of the first to support the Russian invaders and glorify their war crimes,” the SBU said in a press release referring to Lira.

The SBU also accused Lira of “discrediting the top military and political leadership and the Defense Forces of our state.” He was charged under sections 2 and 3 of Article 436-2 of Ukraine’s criminal code, which outlaws the “distribution of materials” that justify Russia’s actions going back to 2014.

Epoch Times reporter Liam Cosgrove asked State Department spokesman Matthew Miller if the administration was aware of Lira’s detainment and how the US feels about Ukraine arresting an American for speech.........tweet........

Victoria Nuland, head of US State Department, has officially stated in a video conference with Kyiv that WWIII will effectively begin on July 11th stating that the US and its partners will fight as long as it takes – 16 years or more…   The scheduled date was chosen to coincide with the NATO Summit, a one day meeting in Lithuania. I wonder how much this WAR will affect climate change…   And what happened to the deadline 2030 for all things Great RESET?  

Two months away, and NATO has yet to determine the topic for the Summit.   But I imagine it will involve WWIII and how to protect Europe from the inevitable backlash.   How many F-16’s will make it to Ukraine without crashing or being ‘exploded’ midair might be on the table for discussion as well.

It would appear that giving up Ukraine simply isn’t on the dining table at the haute enclave residence of Soros.  The sheer size of his destroyed investments throughout Ukraine are in the hundreds of billions.  He is being repaid by US tax dollars – but not without an open debt ceiling…  And Zelenskyy has apparently expanded his real estate holdings to now include a villa in Italy from which he runs the war. Or runs ‘away’ whichever the case may be.

The defacto US and EU trying to pretend they are not involved has fallen.   The pretenses are mute and the reality has been openly spilled by Nuland. The event where Nuland spoke was co-chaired by the US Atlantic Council whose representative declared, “transatlantic unity and robust support can help Ukraine defeat Russia and renew European security.”......more.........

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland told an audience in Kiev on Thursday that Washington has been helping plan the Ukrainian 'counteroffensive' against Russia for almost half a year.

"Even as you plan for the counteroffensive, which we have been working on with you for some 4-5 months, we are already beginning our discussions with [the] Ukrainian government and with friends in Kiev -- both on the civilian side and on the military side -- about Ukraine's long-term future," Nuland told the Kiev Security Forum via video-link from the State Department.

She added that the attack will be "likely starting and moving concurrently" with events such as the NATO summit in Lithuania, scheduled for July 11.

According to Nuland, the US is also planning for Ukraine's future military to deter Russia, so "wherever and however this ends -- one year, six years, 16 years -- we are not doing this again." She also painted a rosy picture of a future in which Ukraine would be the "engine of Europe's revitalization" and "setting the democratic example... for the whole world."

On May 22, 2023, I offered a $2,500 reward for anyone to give me the names of more than 5 Amish people in Lancaster, PA (which is the world’s largest single community of Amish people with over 45,000 people) who died from COVID.

Nobody could do that. I got a few names. And nobody could name anyone under 50 years old who was suspected of dying from COVID. The best anyone could do was come up with 5 names, 52 years of age and older, mostly very old people.

In other words, the Amish didn’t do anything to protect against getting COVID: no lockdowns, no vaccinations, no masks, no social distancing, no mandates, no school closures, nothing. If they got sick, they used ivermectin and other methods that were not recommended by the CDC or FDA.

90% of the Amish have been infected by COVID, yet only 5 of the Amish might have died from COVID.

This means their overall COVID infection fatality rate (IFR) for all ages is .011% and for under 50, their IFR is 0%. For >60, their IFR=.044% which is 23X lower than the surrounding community.
