The Biden administration is not trying to address an issue or fix a symptom. It is targeting a phantasm. The president has yet to address fully how to combat the larger issue of illegally acquired firearms used to commit offenses.
Based on the 2016 Survey of Prison Inmates, the Justice Department reported in 2019 that “among prisoners who possessed a gun during their offense, 90% did not obtain it from a retail source.” Read that again. Among those individuals arrested, convicted, and sentenced, 90% of the firearms used in gun-related crimes did not come from legal sources, which include gun shows.
Astoundingly, only 0.8% of prisoners who had a firearm during their offense legally “obtained it at a gun show.” So, less than 1% of all firearms used in gun-related offenses came from gun shows. This is fascinating, seeing that the current administration and congressional majority would have us believe the “gun show loophole” is one area where the plague of gun violence is spawning from and it is just “common sense” to address it. But yet again, the facts show this is an illusion.
What is not an illusion is this: If the Biden administration successfully shoves firearm regulation through Congress or enables it through executive action, Biden will be solely responsible for criminalizing the estimated 72 million people who legally own firearms, as if our prison and legal system weren’t overburdened enough. If that sounds hyperbolic, consider that a student in the education program at State University of New York Geneseo has been suspended for pointing out the irrefutable and self-evident fact that “a man is a man, a woman is a woman,” the Daily Wire reported.
“A man is a man, a woman is a woman. A man is not a woman and a woman is not a man,” Owen Stevens bravely proclaimed in an Instagram video posted last November that was brought to the university’s attention by fellow students.
“If I’m a man and I think I’m a woman, I’m still a man. If I’m a woman who thinks I’m a man, I’m still a woman,” he continued.
“Regardless of what you feel on the inside, it’s irrelevant to your biological status.”
“It doesn’t change the biology. The biology is very clear. It’s very, very, very clear. And it’s binary and easy,” Stevens said.

In September 2019, Amnesty International’s West Bank-based campaigner Laith Abu Zeyad was banned by Israel from accompanying his mother for medical treatment in Jerusalem. Israeli authorities subsequently even prevented him from seeing his mother before her death. In October 2019, Laith was also banned from traveling to Jordan to attend his aunt’s funeral.

here is a curious variation on protect and serve that i'm certain will leave you feeling a greater love for government that goes out of its way to make you safe;
Petoskey, MI — A Michigan farm owner’s desire to help animals in need has landed her in jail and the animals she was helping, killed. Kei Ju Farm and Rescue owner Julie Hall did not pay the government for the proper permit before helping animals so officials arrested her and then killed her animals.
Because there is no animal rescue in Petoskey, for years, Hall has been rescuing both wild and domestic animals and nursing them back to health. She has years of experience in the field and has a farm where she carries out the rehabilitation. She was well-known in the community for providing this service.
“We have no more rehab centers up here. So this ole farm gal helps everyone,” Hall said.
Folks in her community say that Hall has saved countless animals over the years and has provided a much needed service in the absence of a Michigan Licensed Rehabilitation facility. However, a warrant was issued for her arrest last week because the government forces people like Hall to pay them first before rescuing animals.
Hall explained she has done this for years and she was known for providing her service. However, she says when an employee was caught stealing from her farm, that person became upset and lodged a false complaint with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in Petoskey.
After the complaint was lodged, Kei Ju Farm was raided by DNR agents who served her with an arrest warrant. The charge was for holding wild animals in captivity without permit...........read more........
