Boulder, CO — A Boulder County woman got an unfortunate lesson in police brutality and the video of it looks like something out of 1930s Germany. After attempting to exercise her rights not to incriminate herself, she found out the hard way police will not only taser you when you’re in handcuffs, but they’ll taser you when you’re completely restrained.

Last year, Lauren Gotthelf filed a federal civil rights lawsuit  against several officers and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office for an incident which took place on Nov. 25, 2017. This week, the lawsuit was settled and the taxpayers of Boudler County will be shelling out $400,000 to pay for the sadistic actions of their police department. None of the officers involved in the torture were fired or charged.

“The No. 1 goal in the litigation was to hold Boulder accountable and to make sure that no other person suffered the same indignity (Gotthelf) had,” Gotthelf’s lawyer, Mari Newman, of Killmer, Lane and Newman LLP, told the Daily Camera. “She and I are both very glad these goals were achieved.”

The lawsuit also forced the department to implement policy changes so that an incident like this one will not happen again. Los Angeles, CA — On the night that police officers with the LAPD stopped him, Jacobo Juarez Cedillo, 50, had not committed a crime and was not suspected of committing a crime. Unfortunately, this was not a defense against officers detaining him and subsequently escalating force until Cedillo fell unconscious, stopped breathing and died. Cedillo is survived by his 20-year-old daughter who is now seeking justice for her father.

Nicole Juarez Zelaya, 20, claims in a recent lawsuit that police officers unnecessarily held down her father — who was handcuffed and hogtied — restricting his breathing for several minutes until he died. Zelaya will likely win the lawsuit as the officers’ own body camera footage backs up her claims.

“My only desire is for justice to be served,” Zelaya said in an interview with The LA Times. “The system is messed up and there needs to be action taken.”

On the night police stopped Cedillo, he had not committed a crime and they had no reason for handcuffing and detaining him. They would later claim Cedillo nearly got hit by a truck and this was the reason for the stop. The completely fair super awesome trial of Julian Assange continues in the U.K. as I write this. It’s a beautiful blend of the works of Kafka, Stalin and Joseph Heller.

Seeing as Julian is kept in a glass container in the courtroom, like a captured cockroach, maybe Kafka wins the day.

The court clearly must keep Julian in that giant Tic-Tac container because he’s undoubtedly as dangerous as Hannibal Lecter. If he weren’t in there, no one would know when he might lurch forward and PUBLISH SOMETHING THAT’S TOTALLY TRUE!

What they’re deciding in this trial is whether Assange should be extradited to the United States, or “kidnapped” as the kids call it these days.

If he is lovingly black-bagged by our government, they have promised he will face 175 years in prison if convicted by another super rad show trial presided over by an American government puppet judge. (A puppet judge is just like a real judge but they’ve got the government so far up their backside they can taste the Cheetos.)

Countless excitable activists out there say this persecution of Julian Assange is unheard of. They’re acting like no journalist has ever been prosecuted under the Espionage Act. They’re acting like it’s unprecedented for the U.S. to go after a journalist who’s not even a U.S. citizen and has never operated his organization from the U.S. They’re acting like it’s ridiculous to add on new superseding indictments days before the trial begins.

But all the people saying that are… um… correct. Yeah, they nailed it. (Sorry for the buildup – I thought that paragraph would come out differently.)

Two Journalists

Right now, one journalist, Julian Assange, is on trial while being held in a maximum security prison in London. Another journalist, Bob Woodward, is in a very different situation. The liberal Establishment is preparing to chisel his likeness out of a small boulder and display it next to the Lincoln Memorial. They love him because he got President Donald Trump to do interviews wherein Trump, as always, sounds like a lying buffoon. Among other things the president admits he knew Covid-19 was “deadly stuff” back in at least February, but played it down anyway.

Although the hearing is being conducted in a British court, the US government has controlled the hearing and has determined what evidence could be presented:
