be smart, stay apart: not all too many years ago i wouldn't have given this much attention but recent times have shown me that my 1963 attitude towards my fellow americans who happen to be black, are well past their sell by date. what else can one say;

 

Add this month’s 28 black-on-white homicides to 43 the previous month. That’s more than one per day. None, that I recall, were self-defense.

Black violence should be declared a public health emergency (PHE) by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, because it is a public health emergency.

Here are the numbers:

13-14% of the population commit about 51% to 56% of homicides, 50% to 54% of robberies, 33% of aggravated assaults, 36% to 39% of all violent crime, and 27% to 29% of property crime.

Homicide (Most Reliable Data, as It’s Well-Reported)

In 2019 (FBI Expanded Homicide Data): When offender race was known, black or African American offenders accounted for 55.9% of murders, whites 41.1%, other races 3.0%.

The Black community is bearing the brunt from this epidemic, representing 54.7% of known homicide victims. Most black victims were killed by black offenders, with white-on-black being far less common than black-on-white.

To ignore any other epidemic that disproportionately affecting blacks would be considered abject racism.

2023 Bureau of Justice Statistics informs us that black homicide victimization rate was 21.3 per 100,000 (vs. 3.2 for Whites) — over 6x higher. Blacks were ~55.8% of victims in available data............more...........
