SURVIVING SAILORS BREAK THEIR SILENCE 40 YEARS AFTER ISRAELI ATTACK ON US NAVY SHIP

This article first published in 2008 is based entirely on documented sources and on interviews with six of the survivors, Capt. Ward Boston who said in a signed affidavit that he was ordered to coverup the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty, and Bill Knutson, the executive officer of the USS America fighter squadron sent to rescue the USS Liberty from Israeli attack that was called back on the orders of US President Lyndon Johnson.

Today there still are high government officials and indoctrinated elements in the US population that support Israel’s interest over the interest of America’s armed forces.  Every American considering joining the US military should consider that he is more likely to be used to fight for Israel’s interest than for the interest of his country.

Fighting and dying for Israel is the history of the US military in the 21st century.  It was disguised as “the war on terror.”

June 8, 1967 — the fourth day of the Six Day War between Israel and Egypt, Syria and Jordan — was a beautiful day in the Mediterranean. The USS Liberty was in international waters off the coast of Egypt. Israeli aircraft had flown over the USS Liberty in the morning and had reported that the ship was American. The crew, in close proximity to the war zone, was reassured by the presence of Israeli aircraft. But at 2:00 p.m. sailors sunbathing on the deck saw fighter jets coming at them in attack formation.
