My thanks to all readers who flagged the disgusting video of Antony “NERO” Blinken opting to play guitar rather than a fiddle while Ukraine burns. I don’t know what it will take for Western politicians, observers and analysts to grasp the fact that Ukraine is losing, and losing badly. I do not understand people who insist that this war will stretch on for years without any end in sight. Not going to happen. Here is why.

First, and most important, Ukraine has reached the limits of its ability to deploy trained soldiers to the battlefield. Hell, even Budanov admitted on Monday, in an interview with the New York Times, that Ukraine has no more reserve troops to deploy to plug holes and sagging defenses.

Russia’s attrition strategy will continue to decimate and degrade existing units. As soldiers and commanders die or are wounded, there are no fresh troops waiting in the wings. And, as Ukrainian troops die (or surrender), Russia will continue to press forward on all fronts. There will come a moment when the front will crumble and what is left of the Ukrainian forces on the east side of the Dnieper River will try to scramble to temporary safety on the west bank and try to keep the Russians at bay. I think that could happen by the end of June, but I am confident that Ukraine’s ability to sustain troops in the contested territory will end by September. Why?.......more.....
