Before diving into today’s Roundtable with Ray McGovern and Judge Napolitano I want you to watch another video and provide your commentary. Let me be clear up front — I am not endorsing this video nor do I agree with its message. However, I think it is a clever piece of propaganda but it has some major holes. A good friend sent this to me and I am curious what you, my readers, think about it.

The presenter makes the argument that Hamas planned and executed the October 7 attacks with the full expectation that Israel would respond by killing civilians, which in turn would garner Hamas broad international support.

If you accept this gentleman’s premise, i.e., that Hamas hoped that Israel would kill lots of civilians, then the natural strategy for Israel (and the logical policy recommendation) should be — don’t take the bait and focus on targeting Hamas leadership. Not just with violence but going after their money.

But that is not what this man recommends. He contradicts himself and doubles down on the need to eliminate Hamas by killing them. He also gratuitously tosses Iran into the discussion by wrongly concluding that Iran has much to lose if there is a broad peace agreement in the region. Sorry, but that is nonsense........more........
