i post this found comment so more things can be considered than are in the standard 'free press' crap you see on the tv;

I’m sure that you’ve heard the concerns that people have about some anti gunners using the law to disarm neighbors, or family members out of spite or over politics. I suspect that would be a common abuse.
One thing that no one seems to consider is abusive exes. If I live in a state with red flag laws then I can get the police to disarm my ex wife, or girlfriend if I intend to harm her. I could simply call the police, and say that she’s suicidal and may harm herself or others. The cops disarm her, and now she’s helpless. So much for the Dems being the party of women.
I doubt that anyone has considered this. You have a huge public forum. Feel free to pass on this concern if you want. It is a great arguing point if nothing else.
