The establishment of a military force to go abroad and overthrow governments does not appear anywhere in the Constitution of the United States, nor does calling for destruction of countries that do not themselves threaten America appear anywhere in Article 2, which describes the responsibilities of the President. Indeed, both Presidents George Washington and John Quincy Adams warned against the danger represented by foreign entanglements, with Adams specifically addressing what we now call democracy promotion, warning that the United States “should not go abroad to slay dragons.”
Since the end of the Second World War, the United States has proven to be particularly prone to attacking other countries that have only limited capability to strike back. North Korea was the exception that proved the rule when the Chinese intervened to support its ally in 1950 to drive back and nearly destroy advancing U.S. forces. Otherwise, it has been a succession of Granada, Panama, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Serbia, and Libya, none of which had the capability to hit back against the United States and the American people.
Iran just might prove to be a harder nut to crack. There has been a considerable escalation in tension between Washington and Tehran since the White House withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in May. The JCPOA was intended to monitor Iran’s nuclear program to ensure that it would not be producing a nuclear weapon. Since that time, the U.S. and Israel have been threatening the Iranians and accusing them of both having a secret nuclear program and engaging in widespread regional aggression. In the latest incident, President Donald Trump tweeted in response to comments made on July 21st by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who had told a meeting of Iranian diplomats that war between America and Iran would be a misfortune for everyone, saying

“Mr. Trump, don’t play with the lion’s tail, this would only lead to regret. America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars.”

Every time people elect a government that represents them instead of US economic interests, Washington overthrows the elected government. Currently Washington is trying to overthrow the governments of Venezuela and Nicaragua and has bought off the Ecuadorian government with oil purchases and the usual personal bribes. Evo Morales government in Bolivia is also targeted by Washington. The Obama regime succeeded in removing the reform governments in Honduras, Argentina, and Brazil.
Reform governments in Latin America, except for Castro’s Cuba, always leave themselves set-up to be overthrown. They foolishly or impotently permit Washington’s agents, such as the National Endowment for Democracy, the US Agency for International Development, and various so-called NGOs, whose purpose is to maintain Washington’s control and overthrow every government that escapes control, to organize and fund opposition groups and media that work hand-in-hand with Washington to reinstall a Washington-compliant government.
As Marx, Lenin, Mao, and Pol Pot understood, you cannot overthrow an oppressor class if you leave them unmolested. Whether from weakness or stupidity, Latin American reform governments always leave the electorally defeated oppressor class and its economic and media power unmolested. When Washington reinstalls the oppressor class, the same tolerance is never shown to the overthrown reformers who usually pay with their lives.

America has trillions of dollars in unfunded repairs to its infrastructure that it must make if it plans to survive. Obama had a shovel ready jobs program that had to be scrapped when feminists complained that the term shovel ready seemed to favor hiring men. Iran, China and Russia need not worry. After eight years of Obama, the infrastructure debt became worse. Trump is proposing we spend a trillion dollars but would require we privatize our best infrastructure. That means we pay for it and the leadership of the Jewish-Globalist Lobby winds up owning our utilities and roads while they gouge us for fees to use what we built.
But even this meager program is several trillion dollars short of what we need to keep America from turning into a Third World nation. There are dams and levees that badly need repair or replacement. If the much troubled Wolf Creek  dam (at Lake Cumberland) fails, the resulting flood would put Nashville under water and cut east west road and rail traffic for tens of millions of Americans. In California their state water project and the levees around Sacramento need repair, but we can’t afford to do it. We need to spend more money on Israel’s wars.
The Jewish Lobby set up a Pentagon Office for Special Plans in 2001 that funneled lies from Israel directly to the White House unfiltered by any truthful analysis to justify an invasion of Iraq. That kicked off a $6 trillion spending spree to kill Muslims. The CIA paid ISIS and Al Qaeda money to kill Christians in Syria. Syrian Christian churches can trace their origins back as far as 50 and 60 A.D. Why did we pay crazies to gouge out the eyes of Christians and to behead them? Because they supported secular governments in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. All three of those nations were on General Clark’s list of nations to be invaded. Lebanon? Obviously that list originated in Israel.
Enter Iran’s Sejjil IRBM missile. Wikipedia says it has a speed of Mach 14. And a range of 2,500 kilometers (1,553.4 miles). The warhead ranges from 500 to 1,500 Kgs. Iran also has a Medium Range missile, the Qadr, which has Mach 14 speed.  It has a warhead of 700 to 1,000 kilograms. (1,543 to 2,225 pounds.)
And Iran recently introduced an air to air missile called the Fakour which has Mach 5 speed and a range of 190 Kilometers (118 miles.) Compare that to the US AIM-120 AMRAAM which only has Mach 4 speed and a range of 75 Kms.
Let’s delve into Iran’s defense budget of $106 billion which has increased 145% since the lifting of sanctions. Iran is funding two wars. They are the primary backers of Iraq’s Popular Militias. The Popular Militias outnumber Iraq’s regular army. Iranian officers, arms, training and finances have liberated the center of Iraq from ISIS. President Obama let Secretary of State John Kerry give 400 trucks to Al Nusra (Al Qaeda in Syria) who immediately gave them to ISIS (Al Qaeda in Iraq). ISIS used the trucks from Obama and Kerry to take Mosul and split Iraq into 3 parts. That had been Israeli policy since at least 1982 (as proposed by Oded Yinon.) Ever since Israel killed President Kennedy, Israel’s policies have been America’s.
Hezbollah has underground manufacturing plants mass producing drones and Mach 3 plus missiles with 1,102 pound (500 kg) payloads. These are advanced drones. Iran captured a CIA drone by electronically hijacking it. President Obama demanded they return his drone. The Iranians, Russians and Chinese had a good laugh. This is speculation on my part but Hezbollah commandos could launch drones and missiles from tunnels inside Israel to search out and destroy high value targets in the region.
Iran and Pakistan have entered a partnership to jointly manufacture military equipment. Iran has the license and technology for Russia’s S-400 anti-missile system but is creating its own version. Pakistan has Russian and Chinese technology and is making military equipment of interest to Iran. Pakistan is a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) which is a Russian-Chinese military alliance. China has proposed Iran for full membership.
The point is that Iran has superior weapons to the US. Why and how is that possible?
Russia’s defense budget has been cut 25% to $47.247 billion. But they have faster missiles than the US. They are deploying the S-600 anti-missile system. Even the S-400 had missiles with Mach 12.5 and Mach 14 speeds. They also have Khibiny,  the Electronic Countermeasure Warfare system. It can shut down US radar, computers and communications systems. The US has been waging psych war against Russia by paying $5 billion to install a corrupt government in the Ukraine. This shift in Ukraine will allow America to move their slow missiles closer to Russia so they can theoretically win a First Strike nuclear war with Russia. As I said, Putin is not impressed. He cut his defense budget 25%.
America has a very poor economy as does Europe and Japan, but we do have high stock values because our Central Banks have been printing money and buying stocks. Our major corporations have been borrowing money and buying stocks to trigger corporate executive bonuses enabling insiders to sell their bonus shares at inflated prices.
Does it matter that 21 trillion dollars has been stolen from two federal agencies, Housing and Urban Development and the Pentagon? Not to the news media. American taxpayers are not allowed to have modern accounting procedures so they know where their tax money went. So what if their $21.3 trillion national debt is likely to rise to $30 trillion and the annual interest charge is likely to skyrocket from $500 billion to $1.5 trillion and then $2 trillion. Even after being threatened with trillion a year interest rate charges the media will not permit us to tell Americans that there would be no national debt and no interest on the debt if we still had President Lincoln’s Greenbacks which charged us zero dollars a year in interest.
The people who own the American government seem to be guided by the Talmud which said, “It is legal to rob the Gentiles as soon as we get control of their government.”
Dr Mark Skidmore and his graduate students tabulated the figure of $21 trillion in spending not being accounted for. That was over a 20 year period and only from HUD and DOD. He did not include other agencies.
Dr Skidmore told one funny story about the US Army. Their annual budget was $122 billion. They had so much missing money that the US Treasury Dept sent them a check for $800 billion to fill the holes in their accounts. Guess what? The $800 billion went missing too!
We produce planes, missiles and ships that are highly inferior to Russia’s even though they spend less in a year than we do in a month. Heck. Even the Iranians have air defenses and missiles superior to ours. We could not even defeat Iran, Syria and Hezbollah if we wanted to. Even if our lives depended on taking Lebanon by force which it doesn’t.
In 1929 we had 123 million Americans. By 1940 3 million Gentiles had starved to death in America. The Uber Rich decided to add 202 million people since then. And they also sent millions of jobs overseas. They decided to create jobs by hiring 31 million federal, state and local government workers (if you count contractors.) They have subsidized jobs in education and healthcare. Neither of these industries serves us well. A black man in Los Angeles said Crenshaw high school only has 3% of its students reading at their grade level. They spend twice as much per pupil for poor results as a local private school that has lots of students passing Advanced Placement exams for college entrance. The younger generation has seen a 20% pay cut since their parents were their age.
We print dollars and buy things from overseas paying for them with I Owe You nothing dollars. We have 800 military bases overseas and pay for them with IOU nothing dollars. That won’t last much longer.
The Petrodollar is dying. The US dollar will die. Wages and pensions will be cut 50% when foreigners begin dumping dollars. Over half of US dollars are overseas. When, not if, foreigners edeem those dollars, our commodity prices will rise very sharply. It would only be a matter of weeks before Americans would discover that the purchasing power of their paychecks and pensions has been cut 50%.
People are concerned about the 2018 elections. I think the Uber Rich might want to crash the economy before November. They want the Democrats to make the borders wide open so America will be embroiled in multiple Race Wars when the Dollar Dies, wages are cut 50% through inflation and the Nationwide Food Riots have signaled the coming demise of everything that is here now.
If or when Americans aim 350 million guns at each other and fire the first billion bullets, the Uber Rich could release a series of plagues.
Iran, Russia, China and Syria have nothing to fear. The Saudis, Wall Street, the Jewish Lobby and all kept politicians in the US, the UK and Europe should tremble.
The Gentiles of America and the world must make plans for their survival. Their governments will not survive what is coming so we will have to depend upon ourselves and our networks of friends and family to live long enough to rebuild when we reach the other side of the coming Troubles.

He has already done yeoman’s service in his mission by indicting two dozen Russian Facebook trolls and Internet hackers — who will never be extradited or set foot in a US courtroom, sparing taxpayers the expense of trying them (and testing the theory of “collusion” with the current POTUS). It’s a little hard to picture old horse-face popping a third beer at the clambake, let alone the stories he might tell around the fire (with necessary redactions). When he awakes hung over in the sand the next morning to the shrieking gulls, next to someone not-his-wife, will he be overwhelmed with regret for a year spent chasing gremlins from the Kremlin? The public appears to be good and goddamn sick of him. Even The New York Times has stopped squealing about Russia. Standing by for September histrionics….

You see, every time I run into the secretary of Defense, I try my best to make the point that we’ve been at war too long in too many places.Gen. Mattis, as well as the head of NATO, the head of the UN, and virtually every voice of reason in the foreign policy world, acknowledges that there is no military solution to the unending Afghan War.
For that matter, most agree that there is no military solution to the Syrian civil war or the Yemeni civil war. And yet . . . the same voices that admit there is no military solution keep sending more troops.
The Vietnam War strategy of taking one more village to get a better diplomatic deal still rules among many decision-makers.

Like every presidential election that liberals lose, years later we’re still hearing about how unfair it all was. Of course, the favorite complaint of liberals this time around is “Russia did it!” Even if you accept for the sake of argument that Russia wanted Trump to win and hacked John Podesta’s email (and neither of those assertions may be true), buying some inconsequential Facebook ads for both sides and revealing the contents of John Podesta’s emails (none of which turned into truly major stories) wasn’t exactly a game changer.

Liberals also noted that Hillary would have won had the election been decided by the popular vote. This is like noting that if football games were decided by passing yards instead of the score, the Patriots would have beaten the Eagles in the Super Bowl. It doesn’t work that way, by design. We’ve also heard complaints that Bernie Sanders is responsible, presumably for daring to run against Hillary at all and we can’t forget “sexism.” That’s always a liberal rallying cry.

Moreover, it is impossible to overemphasize that, other than a few true believers, almost all of the political professionals (myself included) thought Hillary would win. In fact, if you believe Michael Wolff’s book, Fire and Fury, even the Trump campaign thought it was going to lose – and no wonder.

It’s been almost eight years since Chalmers Johnson died.  He was the author of, among other works, Blowback: The Costs and Consequences of American Empire and Dismantling the Empire. He was also a TomDispatch stalwart and a friend . As I watch the strange destructive dance of Donald Trump and his cohorts, I still regularly find myself wondering: What would Chal think? His acerbic wit and, as a former consultant to the CIA, his deep sense of how the national security state worked provided me with a late education. With no access to my Ouija board, however, the best I can do when it comes to answering such questions is repost his classic final piece for this site on the necessity of dismantling the American empire before it dismantles us.  He wrote it in July 2009, convinced that we had long passed from a republic to an empire and were on the downward slide, helped along by what he called a “military Keynesianism” run amok.  He saw the Pentagon and our empire of bases abroad as a kind of Ponzi scheme that would, someday, help bankrupt this country.
How fascinated he would have been by the first candidate to ride an escalator into a presidential contest on a singular message of American decline. (“Make American great again!”) And how much more so by the world that candidate is creating as president, intent as he seems to be, in his own bizarre fashion, on dismantling the system of global control the U.S. has built since 1945.  At the same time, he seems prepared to finance the U.S. military at levels, which, even for Johnson, would have been eye-popping, while attempting to sell American arms around an embattled planet in a way that could prove unique.  What a strange combination of urges Donald Trump represents, as he teeters constantly at the edge of war (“fire and fury like the world has never seen”), more war (“never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before”), and peace in our time.  Amid all the strangeness, don't forget the strangeness of a mainstream media that has gone bonkers covering this president as no one has ever been covered in the history of the universe (something that would undoubtedly have amazed Chal).
Think of what President Trump has launched as the potential imperial misadventure of a lifetime, while checking out Chal's thoughts from so long ago on a subject that should still be on all our minds. Tom

Former US President Barack Obama was in South Africa last week for the centennial anniversary marking the birth of the late Nelson Mandela. Obama delivered a speech warning about encroaching authoritarianism among nations and the “rise of strongman politics”.

Coming on the heels of the summit in Helsinki between Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, media reports assumed that Obama was taking a swipe at these two leaders for supposed growing authoritarianism.

Obama’s casting of the “strongman” as a foreboding enemy to democracy is a variant of the supposed threat of “populism” that Western political establishments also seem concerned about.
Trump, Putin, Turkey’s Erdogan, Italy’s Salvini, Victor Orban in Hungary and Sebastian Kurz in Austria, among many others, are all lumped together as “strongman politics”, “populists” or “authoritarians”.
Here we are not trying to defend the above-mentioned political leaders or to make out that they are all virtuous democrats.
The point rather is to debunk the false narrative that there is some kind of dichotomy in modern politics between those who, on one hand, are supposedly virtuous, liberal, democratic, multilateralists, and on the other hand, the supposedly sinister “strongman”, “authoritarian”, or “populist”.

A fire on a United States Navy carrier stationed off the coast of Vietnam kills 134 service members on this day in 1967. The deadly fire on the USS Forrestal began with the accidental launch of a rocket.

During the Vietnam War, the USS Forrestal was often stationed off the coast of North Vietnam, conducting combat operations. On the morning of July 29, the ship was preparing to attack when a rocket from one of its own F-4 Phantom jet fighters was accidentally launched. The rocket streaked across the deck and hit a parked A-4 Skyhawk jet. The Skyhawk, which was waiting to take off, was piloted by John McCain, the future senator from Arizona.
Fuel from the Skyhawk spilled out and caught fire. The fire then spread to nearby planes on the ship’s deck and detonated a 1,000-pound bomb, which killed many of the initial firefighters and further spread the fire. A chain reaction of explosions blew holes in the flight deck and had half the large ship on fire at one point. Many pilots were trapped in their planes as the fire spread. It took a full day before the fires could be fully contained.
Hundreds of sailors were seriously injured and 134 lost their lives in the devastating fire. Twenty planes were destroyed. It was the worst loss of a life on a U.S. Navy ship since World War II. Temporary repairs were made to the ship in the Philippines before the Forrestal headed back to Norfolk, Virginia. It was repaired and put back into service the following April, but never returned to Vietnam.

John McCain narrowly escaped the fire and, afterwards, volunteered for duty on the USS Oriskany. Just three months later, his plane was shot down over North Vietnam and he was taken prisoner. He was not released until five-and-a-half years later, in 1973.

Because the fair-minded have all made up their minds; the slaughter in Gaza has seen to that. And Israel doesn’t think they are fair anyway.

No, its explanations are reserved now for the hard-core supporters. The hasbara is pure propaganda, aimed at rallying the base. And everyone else is tuning out.

It didn’t used to be this way. Hasbara was a successful euphemism because Israeli propaganda was treated as being of a higher order, and so got wide pickup in the mainstream press and from American politicians. Even when segments of Europe and the left were against Israel, the Jewish state could count on a generous hearing in the hallways of power. Leading journalists such as Jeffrey Goldberg, Tom Friedman, Wolf Blitzer and Terry Gross were happy to carry water for Israel’s side of any controversy and malign those who questioned it, and Dennis Ross was on NPR morning noon and night.

No society should function with this level of inequality (with the possible exception of one of those prison planets in a “Star Wars” movie). Sixty-three percent of Americans can’t afford a $500 emergency. Yet Amazon head Jeff Bezos is now worth a record $141 billion. He could literally end world hunger for multiple years and still have more money left over than he could ever spend on himself.
Worldwide, one in 10 people only make $2 a day. Do you know how long it would take one of those people to make the same amount as Jeff Bezos has? 193 million years. (If they only buy single-ply toilet paper.) Put simply, you cannot comprehend the level of inequality in our current world or even just our nation.

[Comments enabled] This morning the GDP for 2Q was released and it "showed" that the economy has reached a $20 trillion annual run-rate in the United States.
Tout TV was up saying this was (of course) a first (actually it wasn't; last quarter we had breached it too) and a large increase over the last 10 years.
Well, of course it was a large increase.
There's only one problem: Exactly zero of it was actual economic expansion.
Yes, I said zero.  In fact the economy has contracted over the last 10 years.
What, you say?  That's impossible -- look at the numbers!
I did look at the numbers and you did not.
Remember that GDP is C + G + I + (net) Ex
In other words, Consumption + Government Spend + Investment + net Exports (Exports - Imports) = GDP.  That's first-semester economics.
All unbacked borrowing by government is, of course, part of "G", and once that's in the economy it never leaves -- unless of course government debt goes down (which it hasn't even during Clinton's alleged "surplus", because that "surplus" never actually existed.)
It therefore circulates forevermore in every future quarter, but by emitting that debt you devalue all existing dollars!  This means that mathematically GDP "in dollars" will mathematically increase by exactly that amount but that says nothing about whether the actual quantity of goods and services increased.
If you have a certain amount of goods and services produced and double the amount of circulating "moneyness" in the economy then the price level on average doubles, since by definition all goods and services consumed were purchased with something -- and that something in the US is denominated in dollars.  In other words you will report that "GDP" has "doubled" even though the amount of goods and services produced has not expanded at all.
So here's the ugly -- Here is US Government debt, to the penny, as of 7/25/2008:

The current annual run-rate of the economy is $20.402 trillion.  In 2008, Quarter 2, it was $14.805 trillion, or an actual increase of $5.60 trillion per year from then to today -- in nominal, that is, "dollar-denominated" terms.
Federal government debt added alone was more than double the net increase in nominal GDP over that same period.
In other words the facts are that the economy has actually contracted, not expanded.  That's why the common American is finding food more expensive, fuel more expensive, health care and housing more expensive, cars are more expensive etc etc etc when one looks at the number of hours of effort required to pay for each of such things, that is, in an actual "SI" (or invariant) unit.
The so-called "expansion" since the crash has all been sleight-of-hand -- and continues to this day.  Nor is this new; it was in fact going on for a good long time (decades) prior to 2008 as well.

But because of McCain's daddy being a 4-star admiral, the entire incident was buried, and the Navy never officially put blame on anyone for the tragedy. Astonishingly, McCain would not only be allowed to continue serving in the Navy, but would go on to be responsible for the deaths of numerous other men, in a scandal that has been successfully buried for decades.

Three months after the bloody tragedy on the USS Forrestal Aircraft Carrier, John McCain was sent on a bombing mission over Hanoi in October of 1967 when he was shot down and captured by the North Vietnamese, where he's go on to be a prisoner of war until 1973. After being released from captivity, McCain would use his POW story and veteran status to rise to political prominence, where his image as a "Vietnam war hero" would go on to propel him to be elected as a United States Senator.

Not a single major news organization bothered to report that Putin said Mueller can go to Russia and interrogate who he wants if Russia can do the same with respect to the Hermitage Capital incident that involved the blackmail of Yeltsin, the charge against Bank of New York for $7 billion money laundering, and Republic National Bank/HSBC. Espionage involves collecting and validating strategically vital information and conveying it to just the pertinent decision-makers on your side while keeping the fact that you are collecting and validating it hidden from everyone else.
In eras past, a spy, if discovered, would try to bite down on a cyanide capsule; these days torture is considered ungentlemanly, and spies that get caught patiently wait to be exchanged in a spy swap. An unwritten, commonsense rule about spy swaps is that they are done quietly and that those released are never interfered with again because doing so would complicate negotiating future spy swaps. In recent years, the US intelligence agencies have decided that torturing prisoners is a good idea, but they have mostly been torturing innocent bystanders, not professional spies, sometimes forcing them to invent things, such as “Al Qaeda.” There was no such thing before US intelligence popularized it as a brand among Islamic terrorists.
Most recently, British “special services,” which are a sort of Mini-Me to the to the Dr. Evil that is the US intelligence apparatus, saw it fit to interfere with one of their own spies, Sergei Skripal, a double agent whom they sprung from a Russian jail in a spy swap. They poisoned him using an exotic chemical and then tried to pin the blame on Russia based on no evidence. There are unlikely to be any more British spy swaps with Russia, and British spies working in Russia should probably be issued good old-fashioned cyanide capsules (since that supposedly super-powerful Novichok stuff the British keep at their “secret” lab in Porton Down doesn’t work right and is only fatal 20% of the time).

What is ultimately revealed is not only a case of disregarding basic Sun Tzu – “if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles” – but most of all undiluted hubris, turbocharged, among a series of illusionistic positive feedback loops, by Desert Storm’s “turkey shoot” of Saddam Hussein’s heavily inflated, woefully trained army.
The United States’ industrial-military-intel-security complex profits from a compounded annual budget of roughly US$1 trillion. The only justification for such whopping expenditure is to manufacture a lethal external threat: Russia. That’s the key reason the complex will not allow US President Donald Trump even to try to normalize relations with Russia.
Yet now this is a whole new ball game as the US faces a formidable adversary that, as Martyanov carefully details, deploys five crucial capabilities.

There's a meme going around called "Trump Derangement Syndrome" -- and certain "columnists" (cough-cough) are having a field day with it on social media.  Never mind the apparent real reason some of them are doing it, which in reality has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with pumping some crazy scheme (like "blockchain" based wet dreams -- for them.)  That's sort of like Whoopi being a salesperson for this diet scheme or that; gee, how's it worked out for 'ya chick -- other than cashing the checks, that is.
But the very people screaming about Trump being a Nazi, or whatever, are joined in their screaming by those on the other side of the aisle who are content to just sit and watch while proof of deranged, criminal, even felonious behavior is outlined time and time again by those in the government.  Eric Holder (who is rumored to be a Presidential candidate) running guns to Mexican drug lords anyone?  Or the now-well-documented ridiculous abuse of surveillance capabilities that are supposed to be limited to non-US concerns being weaponized against political candidates (which is illegal, I remind you.)  Or the utterly-insane and nearly-universal violation of 100+ year old felony criminal law by an entire sector of our economy that comprises nearly one dollar in five spent today -- and not one indictment has been issued.  Or how about the utterly outrageous "tax farming" firms like Tesla and Solar City, never mind the rather apparent insider dealing (which, I remind you, is supposed to be illegal too.)  Or we can talk about the military and foreign policy scams; Oliver North was a piker compared with Obama and his billions sent on literal pallets of cash to Iran, never mind what appears to be $400 million given to Hillary by Russians during her campaign -- every dollar of it illegal, I remind you, since any sort of contribution from a non-US citizen to a political campaign is a federal offense.
The deranged on the right think Trump will fix it -- "just give him time" they say.  There were supposedly threats made against him and his family, and this of course justifies not cleaning house -- right now.  "Oh, he has to do it right or it will all go to Hell" is one of the more-frequently heard claims.  Then there's insanity of those who believe in "Q" running around, and the believe in "tens of thousands" of "sealed indictments" for various things ranging from theft to pedophilia.
Give me a break folks.

Georgia state Representative Jason Spencer is in deep doo-doo. He was filmed shouting the N-word repeatedly and exposing his buttocks on Sacha Baron Cohen’s new television show.
Obviously for a politician to drop his trousers and show his naked ass on camera is ground for discipline, if not firing. That just shows that these so-called Republicans will do just about anything for money. They have no morals, and all you have to do is sign them a check for a few thousand dollars and they’ll just do anything. Just look at how Netanyahu has progressively gotten the Republican Party in his right pocket.[1]
But that is not what the media is focusing on right now. Race baiters are hinging on the idea that Jason Spencer should never have uttered the N-word because it presumes that Spencer is a bigot, a racist, or something equally weird. Those race baiters don’t even ask Sasha Cohen to cancel his program!
This has been a recurrent theme over the past decade or so. What the race baiters ended up saying is that only blacks can use the N-word, even in a derogatory sense.

The corrupt Federal Reserve under the incompetent Alan Greenspan ramped up consumer debt to take the place of the missing growth in consumer income. This works until consumers cannot carry any more debt. The subsequent Federal Reserve chairmen have kept the house of cards standing by pumping trillions of dollars into the prices of financial assets.
