If the power elites didn’t need the consent of the public to rule, they wouldn’t have to lie constantly about their reasons for their wars on everyone. as gore vidal said: i'm not a conspiracy theorist, i'm a conspiracy observer.
looks like the spanish are gonna run this fool out of town on a rail;
Facing severe political crisis, the last proud socialist is under fire. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has called for early elections in an effort to regain control of government that is rejecting all legislative efforts. However, the major problems he faces will likely lead to his exit from politics with the new election.
Corruption swirls Sanchez’s personal and political life. In May of this year, investigators raided the headquarters of his Socialist party in a probe surrounding the misuse of party funds. In his personal life, his wife, Begoña Gómez, is under indictment for benefitting from her privileged position as the Prime Minister’s wife in relation to the creation of the university chair and her appointment as its director. Her passport was seized.
Additionally, Sánchez’s musician brother, David, is currently on trial in the southern city of Badajoz, accused of similar influence peddling.
The recent illegal migration influx has made matters worse, and there is a severe housing crisis directly related to mass migration from North Africa that Pedro Sanchez triggered with his executive policies and promises. All of this is coming to a head as the Prime Minister now calls for an election............more............
if the war and blockade ended tomorrow, what would be the result;
Reports that more oil is getting through the Strait of Hormuz have been heralded as a win for the Trump administration, but experts say this kind of happy talk hides the fact that the war remains in a quagmire. As shipping costs rise and Iran continues to attack vessels, world markets — including fuel — will remain in peril for the foreseeable future.
In other words, no matter how much narrative-shaping is attempted to alter American perspectives before the midterms, prices for consumers will not come down to so-called pre-war levels in time for any change. If anything, the diesel crisis continues, as does the impact of ships carrying dry bulk (fertilizer, aluminum, petrochemicals, grains, sulfur, cement, industrial minerals, etc.) still stranded in the Persian Gulf.
Moreover, with news that another U.S. carrier strike group led by the USS Roosevelt has been sent to the Gulf, it is almost certain that President Donald Trump wants to keep the naval presence in place to protect these oil transfers (and perhaps support future military operations). But how long can the U.S. military sustain this costly level of activity in the Gulf in order to keep the fuel markets from going off a cliff? And it’s not like these ships are moving without challenge. Despite what Trump and defense secretary Pete Hegseth say about the obliteration of the Iranian military, attacks on vessels attempting to cross the Strait last week continued, many under the radar of the mainstream press...........more..........
larry johnson presents evidence that satanyahu is one of the worst serial murderers ever;
Benjamin Netanyahu likes to translate Israel’s grief into American. At the United Nations last month, he took the dead of October 7 and multiplied them by the ratio of America’s population to Israel’s. The 1,200 Israelis killed that day, he said, were “equal to 40,000 innocent Americans slaughtered in less than 24 hours. That’s 16 times 9/11.”
Per-capita comparisons are a perfectly legitimate tool. A small country feels a massacre more than a large one, and Americans should understand what October 7 meant to Israelis. But a method is only honest if you’re willing to apply it to everyone. So let’s apply Netanyahu’s method to the people his army has been killing for three years.
Gaza had about 2.2 million people before the war. The United States has about 341 million, roughly 155 times as many. Take a conservative figure of 75,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza, slightly above the Gaza Health Ministry’s latest count of more than 73,000. Multiply it by Netanyahu’s own logic, and you get about 11.6 million Americans.
Eleven point six million. That is roughly the population of Ohio. It is more than ten times the number of Americans killed in every war the United States has ever fought, from the Revolution to Afghanistan. It is about 15 times America’s deaths in the Civil War, the bloodiest conflict in the nation’s history.
Measured in the unit Netanyahu chose, it is about 3,900 September 11ths.........more........
the level of stupidity is rising;
Here’s a scenario that should make every gun owner’s blood boil. A 22-year-old Oklahoma National Guard member, sent to Washington, D.C., to support President Trump’s crime-fighting effort, now finds himself facing charges. His alleged offense? Carrying a firearm.
What Happened
The Associated Press reports that Spec. Jakob Noonan was arrested Monday, September 29, after U.S. Park Police found a handgun during a traffic stop. Noonan was riding with a fellow Guard member in a Honda SUV when officers pulled the vehicle over for an expired tag.
According to a U.S. Park Police statement, the officer noticed an empty holster in the back of the vehicle and asked whether a firearm was present. Noonan confirmed there was. At the time, he was off duty, out of uniform, and driving his personal vehicle. He told the officer the firearm was registered in Oklahoma — an open-carry, permitless-carry state — and that he was temporarily living in the capital as part of the National Guard operation. A records check confirmed he had no valid District of Columbia concealed-carry permit.
Noonan was charged with carrying a pistol without a license and had his first court appearance in D.C. Superior Court the same day. Notably, his arrest marks the second time in two months that a member of the task force has been arrested — the deployment itself has been contentious since Trump launched it in August 2025 under an emergency crime declaration.
A Joint Task Force-District of Columbia spokesperson told Task & Purpose on Saturday that it knew about the service member’s arrest.
“JTF-DC service members are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and conduct at all times. This matter will be addressed in accordance with established policies and procedures,” the spokesperson said, pointing further questions toward the Metropolitan Police Department.
The Legal Absurdity
Here’s where it gets ridiculous. In his home state of Oklahoma, Noonan can legally carry without any permit. While he’s on the clock in D.C., he can lawfully carry a handgun or a service rifle. But to lawfully keep a gun in his personal vehicle in the District — one that isn’t locked up, unloaded, and inaccessible — he’d need a D.C. carry permit under the licensing scheme the D.C. Circuit struck down in Wrenn v. District of Columbia back in 2017, before the District rewrote it with new procedural barriers that are just as effective at keeping non-residents out.........https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/oklahoma-national-guardsman-arrested-dc-handgun/
The Shopping Cart Theory
The shopping cart is the ultimate litmus test for whether a person is
capable of self-governing. To return the shopping cart is an
easy, convenient task and one which we all recognize as the
correct, appropriate thing to do. To return the shopping cart is objectively right.
There are no situations other than dire emergencies in which a person is not able to
return their cart. Simultaneously, it is not illegal to abandon your shopping cart. Therefore the
shopping cart presents itself as the apex example of whether a person will do what is right without
being forced to do it. No one will punish you for not returning the shopping cart, no one will fine
you or kill you for not returning the shopping cart, you gain nothing by returning the shopping cart.
You must return the shopping cart out of the goodness of your own heart. You must return the
shopping cart because it is the right thing to do.
Because it is correct.
A person who is unable to do this is no better than
an animal, an absolute savage who can only be
made to do what is right by threatening them with
a law and the force that stands behind it.
The Shopping Cart is what determines whether a
person is a good or bad member of society.
