i think rather than putting a million in the streets to protest, a more effective solution might be a national strike. no work till the government crime of the day is dealt with to our satisfaction.

everyone got measles. now big pharma sees a profit center pushing one more jab;
By the middle point of 20th-century American history, measles was widely considered a rite of passage for kids. You get it and you shake it off. You earn lifetime immunity. This was true of every generation just before mine.
For the previous century, measles had become ever less dangerous with sanitation and nutrition. By the time the vaccine came along, it was fully controlled and only very rarely led to hospitalization. The protocols were taught in every school and understood by all classes.
I was apparently part of the first generation to receive the inoculation. It was convenient, but not necessary simply because society had systems and traditions in place to manage it well. How much difference did the shot make in driving infection to zero? Some, surely, and this added to the prestige of vaccines.
That said, I did get chicken pox as a natural infection and recall well what it was like. That no longer happens except in a few communities. I was the last to experience this and I'm happy to share the experience.
My parents came to me excitedly and said we were going to a party. I found myself among a group of kids I did not know and we played and played for hours. Then we left. That was fun, I thought, but a bit confusing. The next day, I woke up with itchy red spots.
My parents cheered. Their plan had worked. I recalled feeling great confusion. Why were my parents celebrating my sickness? It seemed very odd. They had their reasons. They knew the science..........more.........

Excavation work on President Donald Trump's triumphal arch is scheduled to begin over the next two weeks, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said on Sept. 3.
"This will be one of the great pieces of American architecture, honoring the history and significance of Arlington Cemetery and befitting the most powerful capital in the world," Burgum said in a post on X.
Burgum also included pictures of what the arch would look like.
The proposed monument would include a mezzanine level at 166 feet, a 24-foot-high observation deck, and a 60-foot statue of Lady Liberty at the top.
The structure, which is intended to mark America's 250th anniversary, would prominently display the inscriptions "One Nation Under God" and "Liberty and Justice for All."

A California college student is being hailed as a hero after he launched himself feet-first through an In-N-Out drive-thru window and confronted a woman allegedly threatening employees with a sharpened wooden stick.
Twenty-year-old Luca Opperman was waiting for his burger at an In-N-Out in Lake Elsinore early Wednesday morning when he suddenly heard loud banging coming from inside the restaurant, the KTLA reported.
Opperman looked through the window and reportedly saw a 53-year-old woman smashing a large, branch-like stick against the counter.
The stick was broken at one end, leaving a jagged point that Opperman believed could seriously injure someone.
Employees reportedly fled into a back room as the woman continued her rampage.
But Opperman did not lock his doors, pull out his phone, and watch from a safe distance.
He jumped out of his vehicle and dove feet-first through the drive-thru window!.........more..........
