CNN anchor Jake Tapper acknowledged during recent interviews that the national press has, for years, functioned in service of the Democratic Party and failed to properly report on Joe Biden’s cognitive decline while in office.

Tapper’s remarks came during a conversation on “The Remnant” podcast with Jonah Goldberg on Thursday, where the two discussed perceived double standards in the media’s treatment of political figures based on party affiliation.

Goldberg argued that the press would have aggressively covered Biden’s mental decline if he had been a Republican or if President Donald Trump had represented a more establishment brand of conservatism.

“The one group of people who believe Biden’s ‘existential threat to democracy’ stuff about Trump was a big chunk of the D.C. press corps,” Goldberg said.

Tapper responded, “I don’t disagree with your general premise. And I think it’s unfortunate that a lot of the press criticism and journalism — and most known journalism professors out there — have been saying since the Bush years that it is the responsibility of journalists to basically take up the Democratic cause — capital D, not small-d — the Democratic Party cause. And I think that’s unfortunate. I don’t doubt that there were a lot of people who viewed the world that way.”............more.........

For the third time since the Russia-Ukraine war started, a large explosion has damaged the bridge connecting Russia’s mainland to Crimea.

Ukraine’s security service (SBU) has quickly claimed responsibility, describing that this time it was an underwater explosive attack, possibly facilitated with an unmanned submarine, which left the structure which goes from the Russian city of Krasnodar in the east to Kerch in Crimea “in disrepair”.

Video was soon after published of the explosion of what the SBU called the “badly damaged” bridge after support columns were blown up.

“The Security Service of Ukraine carried out a new unique special operation and struck the Crimean Bridge for the third time – this time underwater!” the SBU declared on Telegram.

“Today, at 4:44 a.m., without any civilian casualties, the first explosive device was detonated,” the SBU said in a statement. “The underwater support pillars were severely damaged at the seabed level — aided by the equivalent of 1,100 kg of TNT. As a result, the bridge is effectively in an emergency condition.”........more........

There is much speculation that Trump did not know about the Ukrainian drone attack on Russian air bases. The facts are that Pompeo, Graham and Blumenthal all were in Ukraine to meet with Zelensky just prior to the attack. The logistics involved seem improbable for Ukraine to have planned and implemented this attack without NATO assistance.

It is not much of a leap to assume that the United States greenlighted and implemented this attack under the last administration. This assumption means that Trump and Hegseth both are not in control of the government and military. Is this plausible? It would make sense since neither Trump, Vance or Hegseth has made a statement concerning the attack.

Where does that leave us if this is true? The START treaty has been violated by the United States. The United States has participated in an act of war against Russia (just as the Biden administration did by blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream2 pipelines). But more importantly, it means that the Deep State is still in control. That is validated by the federal court injunctions against Trump and the lack of progress by Congress.

What options does this leave Trump? What would you do if you were the President and you came to the conclusion that you are nothing more than a figurehead? The judiciary, Congress and government/non-government agencies are under the control of the Deep State. The same Deep State that was labelled as a conspiracy theory under the first Trump administration and then openly embraced by the illegal Biden puppet administration..........more.......
