Since 1970, the United States has brought in 1 million Haitians and more than one-quarter of the population of Mexico. Somalis are flown in from 8,000 miles away — then they vacation in Somalia, you know, where they were allegedly being persecuted.

Trump could have accomplished the same thing — saving white South Africans from probable genocide — by offering refugee status only to immigrants who are unlikely ever to need government assistance. As luck would have it, that’s already the law (8 USC 1182 (a)(4)(A)).

Or only to those who’ve been fully vaccinated against mumps, measles, polio, etc., and, in light of the typical refugee, also against cholera, malaria, leprosy, yellow fever, typhoid fever, Ebola and other medieval diseases. That, too, is already the law (8 USC 1182 (a)(1)(A)(ii)).

Governor Kathy Hochul is up for re-election next year, and she’s prepared to throw state revenue at potential voters. New York is introducing the first “inflation refund check,” which will provide over 8.2 million state residents with a cash payout.

“Starting in October, over 8 million New Yorkers will get an inflation refund because it’s simple — this is your money and we’re putting it back in your pockets,” Hochul said in a statement. Hochul claims low and middle-income households will benefit from these checks, which she had already allotted in the state budget for FY 2026. Payouts will be $200 for single filers making up to $75,000 and up to $400 for joint filers making up to $150,00. This is reminiscent of the stimulus checks sent out during the coronavirus pandemic, although the threshold was not adjusted for inflation.

How did New York raise the state budget? By raising taxes on EVERYONE. The local sales tax went up again from 4.25% to 4.375% this March. The Metropolitan Commuter Transportation District (MCTD) payroll tax will rise this July, penalizing businesses for existing within the confines of the city. We bought a new Subaru Outback last year. Nice car … but. If I get too close to the white line on the shoulder, it ‘nudges’ me back toward the center. The headlights dim automatically, even if I don’t want them to. The engine cuts itself off at traffic lights. If I turn my head a bit too much to the right or left a voice tells me to watch the road and if I yawn it tells me to pay attention. After two hours it tells me to stop for a break.

It has GPS, but it’s crappy compared to Google. Heated steering wheel, seat heater and cooler, backup camera and forward looking camera, I could go on, but one should ‘get the picture.’ My issue is that I don’t want most of that stuff, but I have to pay for it anyway as it comes with the car. Aside from the obvious direction we’re being pushed, that being driverless cars that will ultimately be ‘controlled’ by the ‘authorities,’ all those bells and whistles need to be maintained at a cost, and one would have to spend an inordinate amount of time studying the owners manual in order to use many of the features the car offers that I don’t really care to have to begin with and don’t use. So I’m paying for and paying to maintain ‘features’ that go to waste.

So what’s my point? There’s a black pill here, but one that perhaps we should embrace. I’ll let the folks at Imperium Press explain. They do a pretty awesome job............more.........

NATO Secretary Mark Rutte traveling to Turkey (a posturing participant) is yet another indication of the stupidity of it all.  Ukraine is not a NATO country and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, while it may be grounded in the origin of NATO encroachment, does not involve NATO unless you inject the ancillary issues into the equation.   All of this extraneous party posturing shows the reason why Russian President Putin did not attend..........more.........
