a very plausible possibility here on the nyc 'trial';

“That 12 jurors agreed so quickly that Donald Trump
was guilty on all 34 counts is as suspicious as it is
implausible.”

— An Armchair Legal Analyst

And I say this from having watched a high-profile jury trial of a family member who was ultimately found guilty under an extremely corrupt judge and transparently fixed jury.

The venue of that trial was very similar to the exceedingly tainted jury pool that the Greater New York City area was for the deeply unpopular Trump.

Whenever a jury is seated from within a highly jaded venue, it’s very easy to fix and/or buy those jurors.  In the New York State jurisdiction that I witnessed the obviously rigged jury, it quickly became clear how many ways there really are to carry out jury tampering.

As a matter of historical fact, our family case even saw the father of the defendant write an open letter — a personal copy of which was sent to many key political, judicial and legal figures throughout both the city and county — addressing the extraordinarily brazen jury tampering that took place.  The well respected pillar of the community would never have taken that unusually audacious initiative without having very strong circumstantial evidence of jury manipulation, which was quite compelling........more.......

tucker and don jr talk about orange man things like the fbi assassinating him;

When people talk about normalizing things that were previously extreme and radical, they sometimes use the metaphor of the Overton Window.  Within this conversation between Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump Jr, the Overton Window doesn’t shift, it jumps.  The potential killing of President Trump is mentioned casually against the backdrop of a weaponized justice system.

More frequently than any other political pundit or political voice, Tucker Carlson mentions the likely killing of President Donald John Trump. I’m not sure why he does it, but I have heard the assassination theme from him in more than a dozen public statements.

Don Trump Jr notes the most recent occurrence of Tucker talking about “them” killing Trump after the NYC guilty verdict.  Don Jr agrees with the possibility, then talks about his new perspective on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The very disconcerting issue that circles the killing of Donald Trump is raised by Tucker Carlson at four separate points within this interview. WATCH:........more...........

 elon and the orange man may be riding together;

I’m just going to throw out a bunch of factual datapoints that seemingly mean something, but the larger ‘intent’ picture is still opaque.  Many readers may not be familiar with the connective tissue between the names, so I’ll just cut to the chase.

According to media reports, Pershing Square Capital Management founder Bill Ackman is preparing to back Donald Trump in the 2024 election {LINK}.  Bill Ackman is the Wall Street money guy backstopping Elon Musk, and Ackman created the financial vehicle to take the X-Platform back to the public market (unused mechanism).

To wit, Elon Musk is reportedly in frequent communication with President Trump {LINK} potentially now as an advisor to the campaign:

“As recently as two years ago, Trump and Musk were publicly trading insults. But in recent months, the two men are developing a friendly rapport and talk on the phone several times a month as the election nears, the people familiar with their talks said. The pair have held discussions on immigration, technology and science, including the U.S. Space Force. Their views and interests have grown more aligned, the people said, with Musk calling Trump directly on his cellphone.” (more)

Elon Musk (Tesla) does not want tariffs against Chinese electric vehicles.  Axios is reporting that Musk plans to host an X-Platform townhall event with President Trump {LINK}.  As the billionaire classes choose sides, Mark Cuban is aligned with the multinationals and Biden; meanwhile, Musk and Ackman now appear to be aligning with Trump.

JD Vance and Vivek Ramaswamy were college roommates.  Both Vance and Ramaswamy were financially backed by Peter Thiel.  Thiel and Musk (now with Ackman, Vance and Ramaswamy) seemingly run in the same tribal circles.

Curiously, this grouping who seemingly support cryptocurrency, along with a few others who do not openly support the Hamas faction of U.S financial interests, are moving deeper into the America-First Trump orbit.  The question of their motive remains.  Do they support the MAGA agenda, or are they worming their way into position in order to undermine it?

fred on china and the empire;

I wonder how many Americans quite understand what the Us is facing in its aggressive confrontation with China. Washington clearly prepares the public for another unnecessary war.  Given America’s routine defeat in war and catastrophic miscalculations in fighting small powers, picking a fight with what, increasingly, is again becoming the Middle Kingdom seems less than bright. Yet within the Beltway there is the usual smug complacency, the unshakable arrogance that appears to think the China is just a big Norway or Guatemala that needs to be put in its place.

A quick glance at China:

China easily leads the world in civil engineering, building roads, bridges, ports, rail lines, long-distance high-voltage transmission lines, and digital infrastructure. People returning from China, including yours truly, discribe it as being like coming back from a more-advanced planet.

Everyone talks about the high-speed trains, with good reason: 180 miles per hour, quiet, comfortable, huge windows, with very short stops at villages between major cities, giving rural populations the speed of air travel without the nuisance. by contrast, American rail looks like something out of 1955.

The importance of  civil engineering is more thans symbolic. Infrastructure facilitates commerce. China is of course the manufacturing powerhouse of the world. By contrast, America simply ignores infrastructure, spending instead on the military and long since having largely abandoned manufacturing.

China leads the world in ship-building, with South Korea being another major player in this game. America has almost no ship-building except for military, and this has been criticized by the Government Accounting Office for primitivism  and slowness.   Ship-building obviously is important for commerce, and also for military purposes–China now having the world’s largest navy..........more......

 some random recent thoughts;

don't let overwhelming get you down. like tom waitts says if you save your bad days soon they can add up to a bad year.

there is little reality in 'our mockingbird media' especially in the stuff you see at six or when ever you turn walter croncite on to see 'how it is'.

i've been seeing people ask for opinions, history, and so on, and then argue with the answer. case in point recently greg hunter asked catherine austin fitts in an hour long interview her opinion on things and then argued with her about her answer. seems a bit odd.

and if you like what i've been assembling each morning here, please pass it on to others. increased visitor count serves as a motivator.
