 this woman hasn't a clue but having known many of this crowd i ain't surprised. you can see it in her face. forty years ago her statement held some water but not a chance these days which you'd know from just listening to them for a day. i still do some but mostly its a matter of time before i'm yelling at the radio and changing channel;

Katherine Maher, the CEO of National Public Radio, recently did an interview on PBS during which she made the absurd claim that NPR is a non-partisan news organization.

She also tried to make the case that Trump is infringing on NPR’s First Amendment rights, which is absurd.

For years, we have been told that federal funding makes up a small part of NPR’s budget. If that is true, why are they in such a panic over the idea of losing it? Can’t liberal donors make up the difference easily?

NPR CEO rips Trump order to defund as ‘retaliation,’ insists media outlet is ‘non-partisan’

In an interview on “PBS NewsHour,” the NPR boss trashed Trump’s executive order to “cease Federal funding for NPR,” calling it “viewpoint discrimination” and saying that Trump is just taking it out on NPR because it goes against his views.

“And so, it is a textbook example of viewpoint discrimination from a First Amendment standpoint,” she said, adding, “Essentially, by blocking funding to NPR and PBS, it is a form of retaliation against our organizations for airing editorial programming that the president might disagree with.”…

Maher responded to the critiques, declaring, “Well, first of all, I respond by saying we’re a non-partisan news organization. We seek to be able to provide a range of different viewpoints in terms of who we bring on air, the stories that we tell.”........more...........
