here's a bit of evidence for your consideration centered on how israel treats those it holds hostage;
GAZA – The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) released 25 prisoners from the Gaza Strip on Friday afternoon, after they were arrested during the ground incursion and forcibly disappeared.
Local sources reported that the IOF released the 25 prisoners through the Red Cross at the Kerem Shalom crossing in southern Gaza, and they were transferred to the European Gaza Hospital east of Khan Yunis for treatment.
The sources indicated that the majority of the released prisoners are from the northern Gaza Strip, having been arrested by the IOF during the military operation in the area.
According to testimonies from recently released prisoners from Gaza, they confirmed that they were subjected to severe torture that violated their dignity and humanity. They were restrained and had their eyes covered for prolonged periods exceeding a week continuously. They endured beatings all over their bodies, were denied the ability to relieve themselves, and were forced to do so in their clothes. The effects of the restraints were evident on the bodies of the released prisoners, leading to swelling in their limbs........more.......
