you can't expect those who have grown up without rights to respect the rights of others. that thought can be extrapolated into many subsets. and then there's the famous experiment, the milgraham or some variation i seem to remember at a california university many years ago, where a group was arbitrarily divided into guards and prisoners in which the guards always seemed to develop into persecutors, no matter what even when warned of the innate direction the experiment steered them in.
