 when do men get an excuse;

I posted this because it reminded me of an incident that changed my outlook on life. I had a client come into my office and started to shout at me about some work we had done for him. I considered him to be a friend and his comments were not based in facts. I considered shouting back but was told to do a simple act. I asked him why he was upset. He immediately calmed down and told me that he had just come from a construction meeting that had not gone well.

I realized that he was taking out his frustration on me and just listened. Because people do not listen to other people. That experience taught me to ask people what I could do to help them. I was surprised at their responses and the change in their attitude.

I personally do not physically want anything from other people. I do want people to research and make decisions based on facts. I do not want people to “take my word” on an issue to base their decisions.

I have also found that asking questions can quickly determine another person’s state of mind. Everyone has seen it: you ask a question and the person lashes out irrationally. There is nothing you can do with frustrated people who live in fear and denial. I wonder what would happen if people just asked other people how they can be of assistance?..........more............

 i'm assuming that grok is ai which i don't choose or use except in cases like this were i'm posting another's choices. here we discover that elon is planning on so many robots that none of us will have a job;

 more war crimes of which the empire seems to be proud as we attack civilian assets;

From Grok:

Enemy oil tankers start as civilian objects. They become lawful military objectives only if they make an effective contribution to military action and destroying them offers a definite military advantage. The United States treats “war-sustaining” assets—oil exports that finance Iran’s war effort—as meeting that test. Many other states and the San Remo Manual take a narrower view: mere revenue generation is too remote, so ordinary commercial tankers remain protected unless they carry military cargo, act as auxiliaries, resist visit-and-search, or otherwise directly support operations.

Calling the ships “defenseless civilians” therefore does not settle the question. Under U.S. doctrine they can be captured as prize or, in some circumstances, attacked. Whether any specific strike would still violate distinction, proportionality, or precautions depends on the facts at the time—not on Hegseth’s public warning alone. Davis is right that the policy is aggressive and risks escalation; he is not right that it is automatically a war crime.

It seems like a war crime to me. Both sides are doing it. I would not want Grok being a judge in a court of law deciding this case.

The bottom line is that the Iranian Military Action by Trump is escalating. When the oil stops greasing the wheels of commerce, industrial production and distribution of base compounds, WWIII will be the only option left.

 vp vance said that the empire never targets civilians but he's very wrong;

The Specter of Nuclear War Raises Its Head

Paul Craig Roberts

When Trump recently declared the shift in his war against Iran from military to economic sanctions, I thought he had found his exit strategy.  But no sooner were the words out of his mouth than Netanyahu had him again bombing Iran at the cost of American lives and military bases.

It seems certain that Netanyahu is not going to release Trump from his assigned role as the enforcer of Greater Israel.  Iran has to go, and Trump or Israel can only achieve that by using nuclear weapons.

In recent podcasts and a recent article https://paulcraigroberts.org/muslims-are-positioned-to-change-the-correlation-of-forces-in-the-world-do-they-realize-it/  I suggested that Iran’s membership in the Mecca alliance would present Israeli America with a military alliance of 458,000,000 people armed with Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, thus possibly neutralizing the Israeli American use of nuclear weapons against Iran.

Mike Whitney this morning reminds us that Andrew Anglin reasoned that Netanyahu’s plan from day one was to put Trump on a path to the use against Iran of American or Israeli nukes.  https://www.unz.com/mwhitney/looks-like-anglin-was-right-after-all/  I conclude that Iran’s absence from the Mecca mutual security agreement is a direct invitation to the Israeli Americans to nuke Iran.

For some time I have argued that a mutual security agreement between Russia, China, and Iran would halt the Israeli American violence in the Middle East.  But the three governments lacked the wits to take decisive action that would have stabilized the Middle East.  .........more.........

 if the underlying cause wasn't evident we'd be able to laugh at trump renaming everything trump. i once knew a guy named bob who called everyone bob. looks like trump is going him several levels more. the way trump is renaming so many locations is almost beyond imagination;

 President Donald J. Trump on Wednesday, Sept. 2, proposed renaming the Strait of Hormuz the "Trump Strait" in a post on Truth Social, according to multiple reports.

The president wrote: "Now that we have it under U.S.A. control, should we change the name Hormuz Strait to TRUMP STRAIT??? Like America itself, it would be 'hotter' than ever before! Thank you for your attention to this matter." [8][12]

The proposal came as U.S. forces conducted strikes on Iranian military targets near the waterway, according to officials. The operation on Tuesday, Sept. 1, was described as a response to attempted attacks by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) against commercial shipping, a U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) statement said. [17][14] The post follows weeks of renewed hostilities between the U.S. and Iran, including strikes on naval vessels in the strait. [7]

Pattern of Renaming Under Trump

The proposal follows a series of geographical renaming efforts during Trump's presidency. This includes the decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America," and the promotion of the restoration of the historical name Mount McKinley, according to press reports. In August, Trump also suggested renaming Lake Ontario as "Lake America" amid trade tensions with Canada. [9][12]

Federal officials have also moved to formalize some of these changes, according to reports. Palm Beach International Airport was officially renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport in July, with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) beginning the process of changing its airport code to DJT. [12] The White House posted a map on Wednesday showing the Strait of Hormuz labelled as "Trump Strait," with a caption stating it "has a nice ring to it." [10]..........more..........
