 it sure don't look a bit like we defeated the persians but the amazing president bigly says otherwise;

Trump is making three victory claims at once. Iran, he says, is “being very badly defeated.” The Strait of Hormuz, he says, is effectively American — “we own it,” the US has “total control,” the waterway is open and the mines cleared. And the naval blockade, he says, is total and biting, strangling Tehran’s economy. Set those three claims down next to a fourth fact — that his own Treasury is scrambling to invent a financial weapon “like have never been seen,” and that he is again threatening “a harsh new attack” if the strait doesn’t reopen “soon” — and they cancel each other out. You do not need an unprecedented new sanctions campaign to defeat a country you have already defeated. You do not need to threaten fresh bombing to open a strait you already own. The escalation is the confession. Each new demand for pressure is an admission that the last claim of victory wasn’t real.

Strip away the theater and the sequence is self-refuting. If Iran’s military were defeated, no unprecedented sanctions “punch” would be needed. If the strait were truly open and American-controlled, oil would not be near $92 with traffic at 17 percent and supertankers turning back. If the blockade were total, Iran’s oil revenue would be zero — instead it is selling to China in yuan, outside the blockade’s reach and outside the dollar’s reach, which is the very reason Bessent has to reach for a financial weapon Washington does not comfortably possess. And the overland bypass through Pakistan is running real cargo through Gwadar while Washington, needing Islamabad as its mediator, looks away — the same administration vowing to seal every door to Iran is courting the government that holds one of the widest doors open. Each claim of victory is contradicted by the next escalation, and the escalation keeps coming. When a government that says it has already won keeps demanding new and more extreme tools to win with, the demand is the evidence. The war is not over, the strait is not ours, and the sanctions are aimed at a chokehold Iran already slipped.........more.............

 indians, the dot head variety, are a totally different culture than the west and if you do a bit of reading on the subject, you'll discover a culture that doesn't fit well with ours. their way of dealing with trash aught to be a huge indicator;

A viral game on Google Maps has laid bare one of the most glaring cultural realities of the modern world.

Drop a Street View pin anywhere in India and try to find a spot free of garbage, rubble, plastic waste or worse. The “Pindia Challenge” has taken off precisely because it is almost impossible to win. Mountains of trash, rivers of sludge, and streets buried under filth appear with depressing consistency.

But what was once dismissed as a problem isolated to ‘over there’ is now increasingly visible on Western doorsteps through mass migration, turning once-tidy, well maintained neighborhoods into open-air dumps.

The challenge itself is simple and brutal. Players zoom into random Indian locations on Google Maps Street View and screenshot the result. Trash piles, discarded packaging, construction rubble and human waste dominate the frames.

Participants report failure after failure, even in mountainous areas where refuse somehow still appears............more...........

 mr peters speaks about charlie;

It is coming up on a year since Charlie Kirk was assassinated – the right word, since this was not merely a murder. We do not use “assassination” to describe ordinary murders, as for example when a thug breaks into someone’s home and murders the people within. Assassination are done for political reasons, not economic reasons.

Charlie Kirk did not hold any office but he was the leader of a movement and – had he not been assassinated – it is very possible he might have run for office (and won). This was perhaps the plan for him, before he began to deviate from it. His assassination occurred, curiously enough, in near congruence with his public questioning of that which he had previously never questioned; i.e., the nature of the “special relationship” between the state of Israel and the United States. It is a term of a piece with “peculiar institution” in the antebellum South in that it is meant to soft-voice a thing that ought to be discussed more openly and forthrightly. That is what Charlie did and it is probably what got him assassinated. He had to go because his questioning of the “special relationship” was causing his millions of young followers to question it.

Charlie is gone, but the questioning remains. If anything, it has gotten louder and more demanding. Why is the political leadership of the United States – of both parties (as if there weren’t just the one) – so beholden to this “special relationship”? What do the American people get out of this “special relationship,” other than taxes and war and lectures about how they are “anti-Semites” if they question any of it? These are the kinds of questions Charlie was asking shortly before he was prevented from asking such questions ever again. It does not mean we can’t ask them...........more...........

The Digital World Is Becoming a Nightmare

Paul Craig Roberts

Modern technology has provided government with growing capability to monitor our lives.  The amount of freedom in a “free American” is slowly being reduced to nothing.  Flock cameras are one such freedom-destroying tool.

This article referenced below about police misuse and incompetent use of Flock surveillance cameras should scare you to death.  And it is not just about the cameras’ violation of privacy which is supposed to be constitutionally protected.  It is also about the police who seem to be uninterested in whether they have the wrong person.  Why work if you can charge someone?

The claim has been made that these cameras solve crimes, but they seem to be equally as effective in encouraging and causing crimes by police. Neither the cameras nor the police are infallible.  The police do not easily let go of their and the cameras’ mistakes.

The question of privacy has not yet been resolved by the courts. Some federal judges have ruled that there is no right to privacy on public roads, but this argument evades the fact that camera tracking creates a detailed picture of a person’s life–his medical appointments, where he goes to church, his entertainments, who his friends are, his political associations. If it is wrong for a person to be stalked by another person, why can a person be stalked by a camera network?...........more...........

Lake Mead Crisis Sends Stark Warning to 40 million Americans

The Colorado River is running out of water.

Paul Craig Roberts

Lakes Mead and Powell, the two massive reservoirs on which up to 40 million Americans depend for water and electricity are on the verge of falling below their ability to function for their intended purposes.  According to the US Government, “the Colorado River no longer reliably produces enough water to support all the uses and expectations built around it.”  https://www.dailymail.com/sciencetech/article-16061989/hoover-dam-lake-mead-crisis.html

People in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Utah face cutbacks in as soon as two years.  If desalinization  of Pacific Ocean water and construction of long pipelines wait too long, the American West will become unlivable for most of the people who are there.

So what did the dumbshit Democrats do?  They flooded the area with millions of immigrant-invaders, thus accelerating the crisis.

Real estate developers, agri-business, and cities grown too large for their dry locations are exhausting acquirers and making the water threat nationwide. The inability of people to think beyond the present is a great threat to life.

Meanwhile GDP statistics miscount the exhaustion of natural resources as a rise in GDP.  ........https://paulcraigroberts.org/lake-mead-crisis-sends-stark-warning-to-40-million-americans/

 pcr with an appropriate sentiment about democracy;

Democracy R.I.P.

Paul Craig Roberts

The Democrats have completely corrupted the electoral system.  Mail-in voting and street corner ballot boxes permit a significant number of fake ballots to be received at the last minute in order to “win” an election.  Reasons have been institutionalized for throwing out ballots that vote “the wrong way.” Voter lists are crowded with dead people who are voted.  The CARS system in Michigan is programmed to automatically register non-citizens to vote. https://patriots.win/p/1ATCIpUrOL/joe-oltmannjoeoltmann11hbr/c/  Electronic voting machines are programmed to count Republican votes as fractions.  It could take several votes for a Republican candidate to equal one vote.  And the list goes on.

The Republicans are unable to correct these corruptions, because the Democrat judges and election officials will not permit it, declaring the corrective measures to be “racist.”

Republicans would do likewise, but the Democrat judges won’t let them.  What is allowable for Democrats is “racist” for Republicans........more............
