the herd mentality often is fully wrong but doesn't care or know. hint: uss liberty side story;
i went to check and found the link was 'removed' sorta so since i still had the page up, here it is copied and pasted;

There was a man in the town I grew up in named Klemm. Everyone I knew talked about him as the crazy Nazi
on the block because he had a flag at half mast with a plaque that said "Remember the USS Liberty attacked
by Israel our mortal enemy". Turns out his son was killed in that attack. I remember him standing up one day
in church and ranting about the liberty until he was removed. Kids would spray paint swasticas on his house
and garage. Years later I found out about the real story of the liberty. I never did anything to Klemm but had a
very poor opinion of him due to what I had been told. Looking back I wish I could have understood his grief at
the time and the true story of the event. Klemm spent the rest of his life from that day as a societal outcast.
This story has many more victims that the unfortunate sailors murdered that day.

The New York Times’ sports department The Athletic has a creepy new article out titled “The ‘Robodogs’ on World Cup patrol in Mexico” about how wonderful and awesome it is that the international soccer tournament is being patrolled by surveillance robots.
The article is functionally a PR piece for police robots, gushing about how “cute” and “cool” onlookers find the dystopian technology.
The piece opens with the cheery paragraph, “A group of police officers patrolling a stadium with three dogs on a World Cup matchday wouldn’t usually raise eyebrows. But when those three dogs are high-tech robots equipped with video cameras that can sustain speeds of 20kmph, you can understand the fuss.”.............more..........

Previously, German auto companies like Volkswagen entered into trade agreements with China and began manufacturing their vehicles with immediate financial success in the market. However, it did not take long for Chinese auto companies to reverse the engineering and begin to deliver the same quality vehicles at much lower prices.
The Chinese then stop purchasing the Volkswagen vehicles and purchase the cheaper version, while simultaneously begin exporting those same vehicles into the home market from where the technology originated.
Today, with a double-digit decline in production, Volkswagen announces they will cut almost half of their brands due to diminished sales...........more..........

A day after a U.S. official said U.S. forces would “slap” Iran around in the coming days or weeks, President Donald Trump claimed that Iran wants to continue peace talks but that the ceasefire in the war is over.
Apropos of the new fighting in the region this week, Axios reported that U.S. attacks could go on for a month or more. The website also reported that “regional negotiators” are scrambling to stop the collapse of the talks.
On Truth Social, Trump said that U.S. officials have agreed to more talks with Iran, but that the ceasefire is done. That presumably means U.S. forces will continue to attempt to pound Iran into submission to U.S.-Israeli regional hegemony.

The plan is being sold as a child safety measure.
In reality, it would force ordinary Internet users into identity checkpoints before they can access major online platforms.
World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus published a statement calling for mandatory age checks, legally mandated platform redesigns, and “safety-by-design” rules across the democratic world.
The statement was written in collaboration with French President Emmanuel Macron, who called on other world leaders to join him.
The joint statement recasts social media, gaming, and generative AI as forces acting directly on the bodies and minds of children.
