Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has accused Brussels bureaucrats of clinging to a “failed pro-war policy” in a desperate attempt to delay the moment when European taxpayers begin asking where the money spent on bankrolling Kiev has gone.

The European Union recently advised its 450 million inhabitants to stockpile essential supplies for at least 72 hours, with EU Commissioner for Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib warning on Wednesday that the Ukraine conflict threatens the bloc’s overall security.

Szijjarto said he initially thought the warning was some kind of joke or “trolling,” after Lahbib posted a bizarre video showing Europeans what to pack in a 72-hour survival kit.

“But why, in the 21st century, should EU citizens prepare a survival kit? There’s only one explanation: Brussels is preparing for war,“ Szijjarto wrote in a post on X on Friday. “At a time when there’s finally a real chance for a ceasefire and meaningful peace talks with [President Donald Trump’s] return to office, Brussels is going in the opposite direction, clinging to a failed pro-war policy.”........more.......

California Governor Gavin Newsom has said that the “Democratic brand is toxic.”

Newsom made the comments during an appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher.

The governor took a dig at his party for being too “judgmental.”

“The Democratic brand is toxic right now. We had a high watermark two weeks ago, and that was a CNN poll at 29 percent favorability. It’s dropped when the NBC poll down to 27 percent. It’s one thing to make noise, but you also have to make sense.”

Newsom’s new podcast has been doing a lot to reach out to Republicans, even having on War Room host Steve Bannon and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

“I think with this podcast and having the opportunity to dialog with people I disagree with, it’s an opportunity to try to find common ground and not take cheap shots,” Newsom said. “I think it’s important, Democrats — we tend to be a little bit more judgmental than we should be.”............more.......
