There is no other way to look at it. Israel bombed a diplomatic building protected under international law when it destroyed Iran’s Consulate in Damascus, Syria today. There is no justification for this. I don’t care if Iran was harboring Adolf Hitler inside the Consulate, this is an egregious crossing of a redline. The United States correctly condemned the fledgling Iranian regimen when “students” stormed the U.S. Embassy in the fall of 1979 and took hostages. Yet, when Israel destroys a diplomatic facility protected by the Geneva Convention, the United States plays dumb. At this point, Iran would be fully justified to launch a massive counter strike on Israel. This was an act of war by Israel.

Israel has made no secret of its plan to launch an invasion of southern Lebanon, which in my opinion, will be an ill-fated, feckless attempt to destroy Hezbollah. I must confess there is a part of me that wants Israel to do it because that is the only way the crazed Zionists will learn that they cannot kill their way to peace. Israel’s attack today in Damascus proves that it is a lawless nation. But Israel does not care about that. It is looking to create a pre-text that will force the United States to join the fighting to defend the Zionist cause.

People who died in war get only one day – Memorial Day. There is only one day for the Japanese.  The Germans get their Steuben Parade. The Polish get their one day – the Pulaski Day Parade.

Western ‘experts’ journalists and commentators have continually misjudged Russia’s military/industrial capability. Only two years ago we were being fed stories about how brave little Ukraine could take on big bully Russia.

Now with Ukraine on its knees and on the verge of outright defeat articles like the following, which grudgingly concedes the restoration of Russia’s military-industrial capacity are appearing.

Nonetheless, readers should take nothing at face value. For example, the following claims that Russia is “recruiting more than 10,000 troops per month”. When actually, according to the British Ministry of Defense, Russia is mobilizing closer to 30,000 men per month. Three times what CBC estimates.

If the CBC can underestimate Russia’s recruitment capacity so badly then the “staggering losses”, it claims were “inflicted by Ukrainian defenders” should likewise be treated with cautious scepticism.

Note moreover, that there are no actual figures or links provided to support the article’s claim of Russia’s “staggering losses”.

According military veterans and commentators Douglas Macgregor and former UN Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter, Russian losses have been nowhere near as bad as some have claimed. So this may explain why Russia has recovered so quickly, simply because its losses may not have been as severe as the CBC maintains. Ed
