 A Gwinnett County School District English teacher suffered a violent attack from one of his students, according to reports and video footage.

A student at Discovery High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia, was recorded hitting his teacher multiple times on school property Tuesday, according to cellphone video footage shared with WSB-TV2.

The video depicts what seems to be the high school student and the teacher engaging in a short discussion before the student is seen striking the teacher repeatedly with his fists. The student continues to beat the English teacher even after one of his blows forces the latter off his feet, as seen in the video footage.

The teacher received help from a separate student, who can be seen in the video tackling the suspected attacker off of the teacher. The recording also captures a separate student claiming the teacher received a bloody mouth in the altercation.

The teacher’s wife spoke anonymously about her husband’s reported beating to WSB-TV2. She said her husband sustained injuries to the head, as well as a bloody mouth and a feeling of dizziness, the outlet reported.

“I don’t think people should have the crap beat out of them when they go to work,” his wife told WSB-TV2. “I just want the students and the teachers to be safe, because my husband signed up to be a teacher. He loves his job.”......more.........

UPDATE: On the morning of September 21st Phil Giraldi was fired over the phone by The American Conservative, where he had been a regular contributor for fourteen years. He was told that “America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars” was unacceptable. The TAC management and board appear to have forgotten that the magazine was launched with an article by founder Pat Buchanan entitled “Whose War?” which largely made the same claims that Giraldi made about the Jewish push for another war, in that case with Iraq. Buchanan was vilified and denounced as an anti-Semite by many of the same people who are now similarly attacking Giraldi.

I spoke recently at a conference on America’s war party where afterwards an elderly gentleman came up to me and asked, “Why doesn’t anyone ever speak honestly about the six-hundred-pound gorilla in the room? The UK’s Foreign Office has summoned Chinese Ambassador Zheng Zeguang to explain the treatment of a BBC journalist, foreign secretary James Cleverly confirmed on Tuesday.

Foreign Office minister David Rutley told Parliament earlier in the day that the department will demand a “full and thorough explanation” from the Chinese ambassador.

Edward Lawrence, a BBC reporter in China, was arrested in Shanghai on Sunday while reporting on protests against the communist regime’s zero-COVID policy.

A BBC statement said Lawrence was handcuffed, beaten, kicked, and held for a few hours before being released.

Footage circulated online appeared to show Lawrence being tackled to the ground by a group of police and taken away. The crowd could be heard chanting, “Release the man.”

The BBC on Sunday said no official explanation or apology had been given “beyond a claim by the officials who later released him that they had arrested him for his own good in case he caught Covid from the crowd.”

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian later rejected the BBC’s statement, saying Lawrence didn’t reveal his identity when being arrested and refused to cooperate with the police........more........
