Ex-kickboxer and Big Brother contestant Andrew Tate has gone from relative obscurity to global Internet renown in months. In the wake of his new found fame, the Guardian has described him as “violent” and “misogynistic” and he’s been banned from Twitter.
The fact that the Guardian has been so quick to deride and denounce him will be seen by many as an endorsement in itself.
Although we reserve judgement, from what he tells Piers Morgan it sounds as if anti-vaccination views could be about to go mainstream. The fact that the Guardian is so ready to dismiss his views also suggests that he’s considered a threat by the liberal establishment.

It's certainly possible to be disgusted, but being disabused of the fantasy that the system is self-correcting is the healthier perspective.
I used to be disgusted, now I'm disabused: beneath all the self-serving narratives, fad-memes and over-simplifications regurgitated as serious analysis, these are the core dynamics I see:
1. Imperial corruption of democracy and open markets. I described this in Regardless of Who's Elected, Imperial Corruption Rules the Nation: the dynamic adaptive churn of unfettered representative democracy and open markets are anathema to insiders, vested interests and elites, each of which has gained asymmetric power by subverting democracy and markets to serve their private interests rather than the public interest / common good--phrases that are meaningless to insiders, vested interests and elites except as simulacra used for PR.
2. The Deep State, the unelected and unaccountable Administrative State. I've been discussing the Deep State before it entered common use--for example:

The Administrative State has existed in some form in every nation-state / empire, but the U.S. Deep State only gained its vast global powers in World War II and the Cold War, where the lesson learned was the public may choose unwisely (for example, choosing appeasement over preparation) and so the really important decisions needed to preserve the nation cannot be left to parochial politicos in elected office--those decisions must be in the hands of those who know what has to be done.
Democracy is the rubber stamp for doing what's necessary. Beyond that, it's a potentially fatal hindrance. That's the mindset of the Deep State, and if you and I were in upper-echelon positions in the Administrative State, we'd agree with this mindset when things get serious.
This mindset is a self-reinforcing group-think feedback loop: those who believe the public should set policy are weeded out, either by self-selection or via being sent to bureaucratic Siberia.......more.......
i dislike the dumocorps more than the rethuglicans but theft by either 'party' is a problem that isn't being exposed enough and by the 'right' sectors, like 'our free press'. this will not end well;
Mike Lindell and his group of researchers show massive spikes up and down in vote counts coming from many different races in the 2022 midterm elections. The spikes always favor the Democrat candidate. This evidence cannot be ignored.
Reporting live, using data from the Edison Report, the first spike we see is in the race between Warnock and Walker in Georgia. It has the familiar “F” shape that we saw in the 2020 Election:
In the Fetterman-Oz race, Fetterman had a backwards “F” from vote dumping, when he lost 100k+ votes from one moment to the next, which Mike says is impossible and he thinks it probably had to do them correcting the steal algorithm, because it was too blatant.........more..........
other than the 'selection' of sain't obama i doubt we've had an honest election in the two decider versions, and we certainly haven't had one since 2016. that means i'm an election denier or what ever the dumocorps are calling those who see the realities we face. of course the way that the hildabeest denied the election she had with the orange man isn't called the same thing. i wonder why;

In Maricopa County Arizona it appears that the Democrats’ attempt to steal the election is being explained away as a “printer issue.” Somehow the machines that worked in the primaries “malfunctioned” in the election.
In Arizona there seems to be an effort to disappear the votes for Republican Kari Lake. Vote counting has been stopped when 600,000 votes remain to be counted. The uncounted votes are “day of election” votes cast in person mainly by Republicans who vote in person as they have learned not to trust alternative voting methods. The “day of election” votes will be for Republican Governor candidate Kari Lake. Is that why the voting has stopped? The hundreds of thousands of uncounted “day of election” votes could also give the Senate seat to Republican Blake Masters.
How do we reconcile Florida’s red wave with the absence of one elsewhere? The answer is that Florida doesn’t permit all the voting ways that make it easy to steal. I voted in Florida on a paper ballot that was counted immediately prior to my departing the site, and I was given a confirmation of my counted vote. Gov. DeSantis and Senator Rubio won by overwhelming margins. DeSantis defeated Democrat Crist by 59% to 40%. Even heavily Democrat Miami-Dade County voted 55% for Republican DeSantis. Rubio defeated his Democrat challenger by a double-digit margin. Of Florida’s contingent of 28 members of the House, 20 are Republican. Why only in Florida were Democrats rejected as was expected to happen in many states?........more......
