A journalism student, Ghofran Haroun Warasna was shot with a live bullet through the heart; Israeli soldiers blocked medics from attending to her until she bled to death. An eyewitness said the woman was walking to work when an Israeli soldier shot her near their military tower. She is the 55th Palestinian killed by Israel in 2022.

Israeli soldiers killed, Wednesday morning, a Palestinian woman at the entrance of the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The slain woman has been identified as Ghofran Haroun Warasna, 31, from Shiokh al-Arroub village, northeast of Hebron. [Her name is also reported as Ghufran Hamed Warasneh and Ghafran Warasna.]

Dr. Yousef Takrouri, the director of the Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, said the woman passed away before the medics could rush her to the hospital, adding that the doctors tried to revive her, but she succumbed to her serious wounds.

Dr. Yousef added that the soldiers shot Ghofran with a live round in the left side of her chest, under the armpit, adding that the bullet went through her heart and exited from the right side of her chest.

He also said the soldiers did not allow anybody to reach her and left her bleeding on the ground for twenty minutes before eventually allowing the Palestinian medics to reach her.......more.........

Nephi, UT — Anyone who can apply logic and reason knows that banning guns in the United States will have the sole effect of disarming law abiding citizens while keeping guns in the hands of criminals and cops. There are hundreds of millions of guns on the streets, 3D printed guns get better every day, and enough ammo already made to start a war. The cat is out of the bag and this is a massive wrench in the gear of the anti-gun folks as it renders their entire argument moot.

But let’s say, for the sake of argument, that all guns are pulled from the streets. Somehow, using magic, the state is able to disarm every single citizen and no one has guns any longer. What then? Well now, only the state has guns.

Never mind the fact that this would now make it impossible to resist any future tyrannical regimes but it also ensures that cops — with a history of horrific criminal violence in this country — would be the only ones with guns.

While this seems to be the goal of the anti-gun movement — who aren’t anti-gun at all, they are just pro-gun centralization in the hands of the state — the implications would be frightening. Though statists often think that government is this infallible tool that can be wielded like a magic wand to bend society in their utopian direction, the fact is that government is made up of humans — many of whom are evil and corrupt.

To highlight the problem of only the cops having guns, and how this wouldn’t stop mass shootings, we can look at a case this week from Nephi, Utah. A Saratoga Springs police officer was taken into custody this week after threatening to kill a former supervisor and anyone else who got in his way.

Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were contacted by the Saratoga Springs Police Department regarding the threats around 5:30 p.m. Monday. A statewide bulletin was issued for Saratoga police officer Jared Chuchran, 42, detailing his specific threats to kill the Saratoga Springs assistant police chief and “hurt any officer who gets in his way,” said Cannon......more...........

Special Counsel John Durham’s Failed Russiagate Investigation

Years ago I wrote that nothing would come of Special Counsel John Durham’s Russiagate investigation.  Yesterday I was proven correct. A politicized Washington, D.C., jury threw out the only case Durham has brought against a seditious operation that began six years ago.  Michael Sussman, a Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer was cleared of lying to a FBI agent, the only crime Durham could find of a massive operation orchestrated by the CIA and FBI to prevent President Trump from normalizing relations with Russia. 

American foreign policy was set on a totally different course from Trump’s intent by the neoconservatives with the Wolfowitz doctrine of US hegemony.  Russia has to be pushed back and overcome with problems that would drain and redirect the Kremlin’s energy away from opposing US unilateralism.  After pouring $5 billion into preparing the overthrow of the Ukrainian government, the neoconservatives struck with the US-orchestrated “Maidan Revolution” in 2014 and installed an anti-Russian puppet government.  Neither the military-security complex nor the neoconservatives were going to let President Trump proceed with his goal of normalizing relations with Russia.  The relations were on schedule to be much worsened with the humiliation and isolation of Russia as the goal.

Trump, being a real estate developer with no sound or knowledgable advisers, had no idea of the challenge his normalization posed to the ruling establishment, Republicans as well as Democrats.  Trump was a sitting duck.......more.........
