the title of this essay is: the year in which comforting american myths were ravaged, and to my way of thinking about it, it only begins to speak of the myths existing that still need to be so ravaged, or is a better word, exposed, and then ravaged;

Thanks in large part to Covid lockdowns, this year has left vast wreckage in its wake, with ten million jobs lost, more than 100,000 businesses and dozens of national chains bankrupted or closed. Up to 40 million people could face eviction in the coming months for failing to pay rent, and Americans report that their mental health is at record low levels. But the casualty list for 2020 must also include many of the political myths that shape Americans’ lives. 

Perhaps the biggest myth to die this year was that Americans’ constitutional rights are safeguarded by the Bill of Rights. After the Covid-19 pandemic began, governors in state after state effectively placed scores of millions of citizens under house arrest – dictates that former Attorney General Bill Barr aptly compared to “the greatest intrusion on civil liberties” since the end of slavery. Politicians and government officials merely had to issue decrees, which were endlessly amended, in order to destroy citizens’ freedom of movement, freedom of association, and freedom of choice in daily life. Los Angeles earlier this month banned almost all walking and bicycling in the city, ordering four million people to “to remain in their homes” in a futile effort to banish a virus. 

The Rule of Law is another myth impaled by 2020’s dire developments. Courts have repeatedly struck down sweeping restrictions. Federal judge William Stickman IV invalidated some of Pennsylvania’s restrictions in a September ruling: “Broad population-wide lockdowns are such a dramatic inversion of the concept of liberty in a free society as to be nearly presumptively unconstitutional.” After the Michigan Supreme Court effectively labeled Governor Gretchen Whitmer a lawless dictator, she responded by issuing “new COVID-19 emergency orders that are nearly identical to her invalidated emergency orders,” as the Mackinac Center noted.  this essay says we're about to enter the year of the frog, and the writer makes much sense, if you think about the evidence presented;

It is called The Boiling Frog Syndrome. Many of you have heard of it, but for those who have not, allow me to describe it. If you drop a frog into a pot of boiling water, it will instantly jump out and save itself. But if you place a frog into a pot of lukewarm water and slowly increase the heat, the frog will remain blissfully docile … right up until the point when it becomes a … deceased frog.

This little fable is the perfect metaphor for how our controllers are slowly but relentlessly stealing our freedoms and increasing their power. Using the Wuhan Virus as their justification, they have tossed the entire global population into a massive cauldron. As the heat rises, we are warmed and stupefied until we end up dazed and helpless. Then they can easily impose their Iron Fist of Power.

And so, as I review this vile and disturbing year, it seems quite appropriate to call it … The Year of the Frog. My belief is that our Malignant Overlords have used the WuFlu deception to terrify us to the point where we are barely floating and nearly comatose.

My quest is to jolt you out of your stupor and show you how grotesquely you have been manipulated. And then, even if you can no longer jump from the pot, at least some of you will squirm out. And hopefully, the most valiant will turn off the stove and hold the chefs accountable … FULLY AND MEMORABLY ACCOUNTABLE!.........read more......

 when you read and watch stuff like this you wonder why 'our free press' and politicians can call cops 'heroes' and not identify them as they frequently are in real life;

Lake Havasu City, AZ — Earlier this month a trigger happy cop nearly killed his fellow officer while shooting an unarmed man who was wanted on warrants over a traffic stop. The body camera footage was just released this week highlighting the danger of the “feared for my life” mentality and the lack of restraint when using deadly force.

Though  Lake Havasu City police wouldn’t say on what charges 29-year-old Steven Douglas was wanted, according to court records, he was wanted on charges of Unlawful Flight From Pursuing Law Enforcement Vehicle. These charges, which were both filed on August 19, were filed alongside misdemeanor charges for Reckless Driving and Failure to Obey A Police Officer.

In other words, he fled from a traffic stop.

Douglas was not considered armed and dangerous at all, yet Sergeant Brian Jacobs, a 13-year veteran of LHCPD, approached Jacobs with his gun drawn when he was spotted at a local Hobby Lobby.

When Jacobs sees a gun pointed in his face, he takes off running and is stopped on the next aisle by another officer. Jacobs never attacked the other officer and was merely trying to run away but he could not.

Jacobs, as he still has his gun trained on Douglas, yells at the unarmed man to “drop it” several times. Though police admitted Douglas was unarmed, they wouldn’t release details on the object in Douglas’ hand, but it appeared to be a cellphone in the video, and he certainly dropped it.

After yelling “drop it” once more, Jacobs opened fire inside the store with his partner directly in his line of sight. Luckily for his partner, the bullet did not go through Douglas, who was struck in the abdomen.........read and watch more......

I’ve been on vacation in Mexico for the past two weeks. But that isn’t the reason content from me has been scarcer than normal. Yes, vacations are supposed to be for recharging and taking a break from your routine.

But as I sat down to write this morning the overwhelming sense of futility washed over me. And nothing saps your will to work more than reading through the headlines and noting the complete lack of conscience on display by the media, our political leadership or frankly anyone with half a brain.

We live in a world today where the legislature of one of the most important states in the Union, Pennsylvania, released a report where more than 200,000 votes were counted than were actually cast. And no one in our media seems to think this is news........read more........
