Not surprising, Monsanto, today hidden behind the Bayer logo, as the world leader in patented GMO seeds and the probable carcinogenic Roundup herbicide with glyphosate, is attempting to quietly patent genetically modified or GMO varieties of fruits using controversial gene-editing. The “beauty” of this for Monsanto/Bayer is that in the USA, according to a recent ruling by the US Department of Agriculture, gene-edited agriculture needs no special independent testing. The developments are not good for human health or safety, nor will it do anything to give the world better nutrition. .
The agrichemical and GMO giant Monsanto, which today tries to keep a lower profile inside the German agrichemical and GMO giant Bayer, is moving into the highly controversial domain of gene-editing of new crop varieties. In 2018 as the company was being deluged with lawsuits over its use of the probable carcinogen, Roundup, Monsanto invested $125 million in a gene-editing startup called Pairwise. The link is anything but casual.
Former Monsanto Vice President for Global Biotechnology, Tom Adams, has taken the post of CEO of Pairwise. In short, this is a Monsanto gene-editing project. In a press release, Pairwise says it is using the controversial CRISPR gene-editing technology to create genetically edited produce. Among their goals apparently is a super-sweet variety of strawberry or apples, just what our sugar-saturated population doesn’t need.
CRISPR gene-editing, a stealth attempt by the global agribusiness industry to promote artificial mutations of crops and, as the world was shocked recently to hear, even humans, as in China, is being advanced, much like GMO crops falsely were, as solution to world hunger. Pairwise founder, Keith Joung, told media that their CRISPR gene-edited fruits, “will speed innovation that is badly needed to feed a growing population amid challenging conditions created by a changing climate.” How sweeter genetically-edited strawberries will solve world hunger he leaves to the imagination. Pairwise also says that gene-edited fruits would somehow also cut down on food waste. One has to be also skeptical there as well, even if it makes nice promotion copy. In addition to super-sweet strawberries, Monsanto plans to use its work with Pairwise to develop new varieties of gene-edited corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton and canola crops. And because the USDA unfortunately has given the green light, the new genetically modified foods will undergo no independent testing for health and safety.

LOUISVILLE, Colo. — The president of a Colorado hemp company says more than 17,000 pounds of his legal product has been confiscated by police in Oklahoma.
Four contractors, transporting the plants from Kentucky to Colorado, remain under arrest. 
On Wednesday, it appeared police in Pawhuska, Oklahoma may have scored one of the biggest drug busts of all time. But, Jamie Baumgartner, president of Panacea Life Sciences in the northern suburbs says it’s his hemp.
“We’re talking in excess of a half a million dollars,” Baumgartner said.
Since President Trump signed the Farm Bill in December, the interstate commerce of hemp has been legal. Hemp is part of the cannabis family but should not be confused with marijuana. Hemp only has miniscule traces of THC and cannot make a person high.
“We pre-screened it to make sure that everything was legal according to the federal definition of hemp,” Baumgartner explained.
Baumgartner says there was a manifest in the truck listing the cargo as hemp. He also says contractors received pre-clearance from the State of Oklahoma, but that wasn’t enough to encourage local police Pawhuska to simply move on. Instead, officers arrested the drivers and security detail. Four people have been in jail since Wednesday on drug trafficking complaints.
“We do want the hemp back, but our first priority is to make sure that those fellows are not charged and out of jail,” Baumgartner said.
Baumgartner has retained a lawyer. He says he understands how local police might get confused. There are similarities in the look and smell of hemp and marijuana.
This was the first time Panacea has ordered a shipment from across state lines, the company says. Industry leaders say this case shows the need for more awareness on the differences between hemp and marijuana.
The Pawhuska Police Department and the Osage County District Attorney’s Office have not returned FOX31’s calls. A 12-year-old honor student was suspended for 10 days after he unintentionally used counterfeit money to pay for his lunch at a Henry County middle school, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Now the parents of Christian Philon are trying to clear their son’s name.  

The news station reported Christian handed a cashier at McDonough’s Austin Road Middle School a $20 bill last Thursday. His father had given him the money from change he received at a fast-food restaurant.

“I’ve never handled counterfeit money,” Earvin Philon told Channel 2. “I don’t know what it looks like. … There was no way when I gave it to my son that he knew it was counterfeit.”

Christian, a straight-A student and athlete, said he learned the money was fake when the cashier marked the bill with a counterfeit pen.

“I was confused on how the money was counterfeit and how my parents received it,” he said.

Christian said as much when he was sent to an assistant principal’s office.

“They said, ‘You possessed it, so you’re going to have to pay for it,’” he told Channel 2.

The payment? In-school suspension.

His parents filed a police report about unknowingly receiving the counterfeit bill. They thought that would convince school officials to reverse their decision. It did not. The code of conduct prohibits possession of counterfeit currency, regardless of the circumstance. At a disciplinary hearing Wednesday, a panel upheld the suspension.

“The whole process,” Christian said, “has been unfair.”

President Donald Trump canceled the U.S. delegation’s trip to the global economic summit in Davos hours after he denied House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a plane to visit U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
“Out of consideration for the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay and to ensure his team can assist as needed, President Trump has canceled his Delegation’s trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Thursday in a statement.  
Trump personally made the decision to cancel the Davos trip Thursday afternoon, two White House officials said. The need to focus on domestic issues has also forced U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May and French President Emmanuel Macron to cancel their plans to go.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin was to lead the U.S. delegation, which was also to include Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. Trump had planned to attend but previously canceled his own travel to the event because of the shutdown. Federal money typically already would have been spent on advance preparations for the cabinet secretaries’ trip.
Trump informed Pelosi earlier Thursday that she couldn’t use a military plane to visit Afghanistan barely an hour before she was to depart, saying she should stay in Washington to negotiate.
Trump’s abrupt cancellation of the speaker’s trip escalated an increasingly personal clash between the White House and congressional Democrats. Pelosi on Wednesday suggested Trump consider postponing his State of the Union address to Congress until after the shutdown is resolved or deliver it in writing.
Several Democratic members of Congress swiftly criticized Mnuchin for proceeding with plans to go to the Swiss ski resort to meet with the financial elite and heads of state while Trump was preventing the speaker from visiting U.S. troops in a war zone.

Movies, “news”, and commentaries present the image of Muslims and Arabs as threats. Since Arabs were blamed for 9/11 they’re the latest “ogre under the bed” to be waved in your face, preceded by commies, Negros, Indians, Mexican dope addicts, all inspiring fear requiring “our government”, needing “job security”, to come to our rescue. Americans haven’t understood that Muslims are just one of many tools “our government” uses to keep you afraid/angry, and justify all the other tools they use.

Remember what happens when a racial or religious group is described this way; such “dehumanization” encourages shameful violence. We’ve seen it before. We’re told to learn the lessons of history. We’re told to remember European Jews so we don’t persecute those unlike us. Remember that the victor writes history, controlling what you think.

The hate against Muslims make it easily said; they’re the new “Jews”. You might remember what happens when that hate gets loose. Islamic fundamentalism, from our “Christian” view, explains everything we decide to know about Islam. Do you judge Christianity by the actions of the Westboro Baptist church, or the Inquisition? Christians come in all degrees of belief and fundamentalism. The Bible has some very violent content of the sort we’re told the Muslims advocate. Christian history is quite violent to those unlike themselves. The same can be said for modern Israeli Jews.

Ordinary Muslims, like all humans, want to live in peace, get along with people, and want the best for their children. Their governments are corrupt like ours. The “noise” about Islam could have terrible consequences for the world, if the powerful get their way. World War is possible with Iran/Syria being the incendiary point. We’re told to be afraid of Iran getting the bomb, as if someone with two bullets would attack an army.

“Our government” says Muslims attack us because some al-Qaeda organization uses religion in a corrupt way. But they haven’t explained why. Muslims don’t “hate our freedom” they hate our policies. The overwhelming majority voice their objections to America’s one-sided support of Apartheid Israel oppressing Palestinians, and longstanding support for tyrannies, especially Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Pakistan, and the Gulf States. If we invade others to distribute “democracy” why is it we haven’t invaded them?

Americans are taught that we’re innocent victims, Muslims are evil aggressors, and our violence ways are more acceptable than theirs. You want to believe and are easily influenced by skillful propagandists. “Terrorism” was defined by America to justify the violence it does in the world. “No matter what evil “our government” does its ok if someone else is worse. Sure, we do some bad things. But we’re not like them; the Ultimate Savages, Terrorists.”

You buy that and then our violence is logical, invited by their evil. That’s how Americans absolve themselves. It’s how they ignore reality in their support of “our government”. It’s why few things produce as much anger as suggesting that they see themselves, before condemning others, as if they were genuine Christians.

Hate hearing that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when you read of Muslims killing women for family “honor”; Muslims rioting over some slight offense; Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren’t “believers”; Leviticus describes the Christian difference, right?

Do you wish to “improve” Muslim communities, bringing them more in line with your values? There’s a word for that: persecution. A few false flag operations, has Americans terrified of Muslims hiding under their beds as America becomes a third world country/failed state/totalitarian nightmare distracting you with terrorism.
