The one recurring theme in American politics today is the utter inability to punish criminality. One suggestion is that they’re all in on it and will protect each other to keep from being exposed themselves. But we’ve gone way past that. No one with an ounce of political power worries about being exposed, because nothing happens. It just becomes a fact in their resume, like where they went to high school.

People like Senator Mark Kelly admits to brags about releasing classified IG reports to the newspapers in an attack on Pete Hegseth. “Come and get me, Copper!” Because he believes that the newspapers will protect him and no one in the Trump administration will arrest a US senator. That’s a logical conclusion. Mayors and governors across the nation call on citizens and non-citizens to obstruct justice where ICE is concerned. Nothing happens.

The belief that Republicans are on the side of the people could not be more fallacious. They’re just one more barrier to accountability, yet we saw how the Democrats acted when they had complete power. They went total Marxist, traitorous, slimeball politics and all of those actors, Brennan, Comey, Garland, etc., are still walking around. Comey has been indicted, but if he can put the court dates off long enough, he’ll walk when a new administration comes in and clears him.

That’s really the “tell” on how totally corrupt the whole system is, how rigged everything is. There is no expectation of accountability for anything. Unless one is a non-affiliated US citizen, then, the whole law enforcement apparatus comes down on you with zeal. Then, they find every single misspelled word and turn it into a federal felony.
