protect and serve? you can't make this stuff up;

Richmond County, GA — Exposing an unmistakable tale of betrayal and a dark abuse of power, Jason Cunningham, a disgraced Richmond County Sheriff's Deputy, was sentenced to life in prison for the cold-blooded murder of a 37-year-old Floridian named Nicole Diane Harrington in June 2020.

Pronouncing a life sentence on Cunningham, Richmond County Superior Court Judge Jesse Stone simultaneously slapped him with an additional five-year term for brandishing a firearm while perpetrating this sadistic crime. Harrington tragically leaves behind three children.

Caught up in a deceitful vortex of infidelity, Cunningham, who was engaged in a dual marital life, shot Harrington when a heated argument culminated in a bruised ego over his masculinity.

The District Attorney of Augusta, Jared Williams, chillingly narrated the case, stating, "This was a situation where the defendant was enmeshed in an extramarital affair. He was leading a double life." In an unfortunate twist of events, the final straw for Cunningham was Harrington's stinging critique of his manhood.........more........
