We learn from history
that we do not learn from history.
—Friedrich Hegel.
i began this blogspot to save sending emails to all i suspected might need or want to review: avoid being a spammer. so consider these things i thought you might find interest in. if you like what you see, pass it on. If the power elites didn’t need the consent of the public to rule, they wouldn’t have to lie constantly about their reasons for their wars on everyone. as gore vidal said: i'm not a conspiracy theorist, i'm a conspiracy observer.

a comparison of americans overseas involved in actions the empire disapproves of and how it is handled with oswald part of the mix;
How ironic that the U.S. government’s war on ISIS, the group brought into existence by the U.S. national-security establishment’s war of aggression on Iraq, would provide insight into the U.S. national-security’s establishment’s relationship with Lee Harvey Oswald, the accused assassin of President John F. Kennedy some 55 years ago.
As I emphasized in my 29-part video series on the JFK assassination and as I am emphasizing in my multipart series on the same subject in FFF’s monthly journal Future of Freedom, circumstantial evidence is just as valid as direct evidence. Equally important, sometimes we can glean just as much from what government officials fail to do as from what they do.
Consider the case of Hoda Muthana, a 23-year-old American citizen who traveled to Syria four years ago and became the wife of a member of ISIS. She had a baby and now wants to return to the United States.
It’s not going to happen if President Trump gets his way. He is steadfastly refusing to permit Muthana to return to the United States. As far as he is concerned, she is a traitor for having left the United States to join up with ISIS, which became an official enemy of the U.S. Empire after the U.S. conquest of Iraq............https://www.fff.org/2019/02/22/isis-and-oswald/
here is a brief exploration of electric cars and the oil companies with bits of who wins and loses;
The Wall Street-London Global Oil Trap
In the fall of 2017, as China
announced its dramatic new regulations pushing electric cars, the price
of lithium and cobalt went through the roof. The two minerals, essential
in the production of batteries for ‘New Energy Vehicles’, were highly
sought. The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Australia and other
countries that are source of rare minerals sped forward, expanding
extraction to meet rising demand.
However, the price of these two prized
commodities is now decreasing, amid a glutted market. The Wall Street
Journal reports: “Cobalt prices have fallen more than 30% in 2019 to
their lowest level in two years” and “a lithium price index published by
Benchmark Mineral Intelligence dropped for the 10th consecutive month
in January.”
Even though New Energy Vehicles have
been selling at a much higher rate, with sales increasing by 64% in
2018, the demand for minerals has dropped. The trade war between the USA
and China, with constant renegotiation and complicating factors, has
made investors worried, and those who produce electric cars have put
their purchases on hold, waiting with baited breathe to see what
happens.
This comes after Lawrence Kudlow of the
White House National Economic Council announced on December 3rd that it
was rescinding Obama-era subsidies for the production of electric cars
by American automakers.
The Chinese Communist Party sees
electric cars as essential, not just for ecological sustainability but
also as a mechanism for securing China’s industrial growth in a world
market where oil dependency makes them quite vulnerable to foreign
pressure. However, certain forces that are well embedded in the White
House, have a very different material interest. They see electric cars
as a threat to the global order from which their power flows.
The Wall Street-London Global Oil Trap
The four supermajor oil monopolies,
Chevron, BP, Shell, and the top dog Exxon-Mobile, are almost synonymous
with the elite entities on Wall Street and the London Stock Exchange.
British Petroleum is closely tied to the HSBC bank. Exxon-Mobile is
closely tied to Chase Bank. Longstanding oligarchical families like the
Rockefellers, Carnegies, Morgans, Rothschilds, Vanderbilts, Gettys, and
Duponts dominate, directly or indirectly, the global financial system as
a kind of oil banking aristocracy with unprecedented power.............https://journal-neo.org/2019/02/23/whos-afraid-of-electric-cars-and-why/
paul craig roberts speaks about venezuela;
Max Blumental Proves Western Media A Propagandist For War Criminals
There is not an ounce of integrity anywhere in the Western print and TV media
“Grocery shelves lie empty as food becomes increasingly scarce” in Venezuela, the UK Independent weeps. The country’s shops remain open but “sparsely stocked,” The Guardian laments. Even “basic commodities” such as toothbrushes aren’t available for purchase, CNN bemoans. “Hungry” Venezuelans must choose between “torture or starvation,” Bloomberg grimly concludes.
Mainstream media coverage of Venezuela gives the impression that President Nicolas Maduro is slowly starving his own people – a narrative which, as journalist Max Blumenthal found after surveying a massive supermarket in Caracas, is wildly deceptive.
Read the story and watch the video of Blumenthal in the Caracas supermarket jammed with all the allegedly unobtainable foods and products.
The reason Washington wants to shut down the English language Russian news organizations is that, unlike the US, UK, and European media, the Russian news organizations report truthfully, thus undermining Washington’s attempt to control all explantions.
The dumbshit Westerners who rely on the Western presstitutes are brainwashed to the point that they are useless for the cause of freedom and democracy. Indeed, they are dangerous to freedom and democracy.

i post most of kunstler's stuff because he usually makes a great bit of sense, as he does with this one focused mostly on the hot air we see coming from our tv about the great russian hoax;
The #Resistance has been losing bigly in recent days as each new “bombshell” it manufactures turns out only to reveal its modus operandi, which is that the end justifies the means — the end being to evict the wicked Mr. Trump from office and the means being dishonesty and bad faith in its use of the government’s prosecutorial machinery. The New York Times has a Friday op-ed, The Mueller Report Is Coming. Here’s What to Expect, declaring, “A concise report will probably act a a ‘road map’ to investigation for the Democratic House — and to further criminal investigation by other prosecutors.”
Translation: prepare to be disappointed by Mr. Mueller’s report and microwave a giant tub of popcorn for an extravaganza of sequels and re-boots. Beware of what you wish for. If the baton is passed to House committee chairs Jerrold Nadler, Maxine Waters, and Elijah Cummings, then in Act Two of the show, the country will be treated to something like the Spanish Inquisition as performed by Moe, Larry, and Curly.
Meanwhile, their antics may be eclipsed by the now inevitable inquiry around the misdeeds carried out by public officials in Act I of the show: the Russia Collusion Ruse. Based just on the current Andy McCabe book tour, there will be an awful lot to get to, and it is liable to be far more compelling than the nonsense conjured up by the Three Stooges. Mr. McCabe, in his quest to hand off the hot potato of culpability to his former colleagues, and to sell enough books to pay his lawyers’ retainers, has neatly laid out the case for his orchestrating a coup d’etat within the FBI.........http://kunstler.com/clusterfuck-nation/great-expectations/
