 caitlin nails it, describing the west, the empire;

 Western liberal democracies are like a narcissistic wife beater who postures as a sensitive he/him feminist on social media. Like a pop star who makes a show of fighting the power and defending the marginalized while supporting Israel.

Our society isn’t what it pretends to be.

Our entire civilization sustains itself through an endless river of blood, sweat and tears from the global south while making movies about fighting for justice and saving the world.

Our pundits wag their fingers at the “tyrannical regimes” in empire-targeted nations while our own rulers murder, starve and terrorize disobedient populations in order to dominate the planet.

In school they teach us that we are lucky to live in a free society where the people command the government with their votes and we have the right to express ourselves in whatever way we choose, when in reality wealthy oligarchs control the entire electoral process and our expression is aggressively manipulated through a complex system of censorship and propaganda..........more..........

 it gets to the point in which things like this show clearly that not only don't we have a government for us but that we can trust nothing from any official source that agrees with that 'government source';

 I was at the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel on the evening of Sept 11, 2001(Beijing Time) for a dinner with a grad school professor.

When we walked into the hotel bar for a drink, there was a crowd gathered around a TV screen watching a live CNN footage of a burning WTC North Tower.

Then there was another explosion in the other tower with a massive fireball bursting out of the windows.

I was stunned and thought it couldn’t be real. What happened must be a high drama, mistakenly broadcast as live news.

I was glued at the hotel TV for a couple of hours and went home just to continue the live coverage of that day’s events from my satellite dish – yes, satellite dishes were still used in those days.

Over the years, the shock wore off but there was always an eerie feeling what happened wasn’t real.

It was only in 2016 when I first stumbled on the internet hit film Loose Change that ignited an interest to find out more about the event.

It was a rabbit hole............more.........

 this is how fascism completes its grip with corporations doing what the constitution doesn't allow;

 As Americans turn against artificial intelligence, AI companies are building programs to surveil and identify troublemakers in advance.

An investigative report published this week by The American Prospect revealed that, “in addition to monitoring activists in the vicinity of Anthropic executives and keeping tabs on protests near physical Anthropic assets, the firm is also implementing a ‘pre-crime’ approach, attempting to predict incidents before they happen. In some cases, that also means reporting suspects to police before a crime occurs.”

An Anthropic security official said during a podcast that the goal is to transform operations “from reactive information to gathering proactive and predictive and preventative threat engagement and management.”

The Prospect garnered its findings by reading through job postings, talking to senior security officials at Anthropic, and listening to interviews with company officials.

A Response to Growing Threats?
Anthropic frames its emerging surveillance and predictive programs as necessary responses to growing threats, and the Prospect report includes several examples of threats or concerning incidents involving Anthropic representatives. For example, last month, local media reported that Anthropic called the police on a man who told Claude that he bought an AR-15 and “had CEO Dario Amodei ‘in his sights.'”

Interestingly, while Anthropic was quick to call the cops, the company also refused to show police the messages. “In short, Anthropic reported a user for in-platform speech, and then refused to provide police with evidence of actual wrongdoing,” the Prospect pointed out.......more..........

 the persians and their friends now control more oil, but don't worry cause the amazing president bigly will come to save the day just like mighty mouse;

We’re at the end of the line. After seven months of unprovoked warfare, the situation in the Middle East has ballooned into a full-blown crisis. Overnight, Saudi oil exports have fallen to zero. ZERO! Let that sink in for a minute. The “world’s largest oil producer” is presently exporting NO oil. Persian Gulf terminals are effectively shut down due to the war with Iran while the East-West pipeline—the main overland bypass that moves 4 to 5 million barrels per day to the Red Sea terminal at Yanbu—was blown up at nine different locations on Thursday (by Iraqi drones) and is no longer operable. That means no Saudi oil is going to market for the first time in history. Does that sound like a catastrophe to you? Does that sound like something that’s going to require an immediate response from Trump and Co?

But, so far, Trump’s only response has been the meandering statement he made at a Friday press conference. Here’s what he said:

“The Houthis called us. They don’t want to fight with us. They let us know they don’t want to fight with us. They don’t want us to go after them. They would much prefer not having us involved, and they are letting most ships go through. There’s just one country they’re not too happy with. (link)

This is nonsense. Trump hasn’t spoken to the Houthis nor does he know what they want. The president’s comments just shows that Trump’s advisors were caught off-guard and haven’t settled on a response yet. But what’s clear to everyone watching this farce is that it’s all being orchestrated by Iran. It was Iran’s allies in Iraq that struck the east-west pipeline just as the “Iran-backed” Houthis who seized Mocha and Perim Island. Here’s a recap:.........more........

Who is trying to destroy the United States and the world?

Paul Craig Roberts

Today, Saturday, is a good day to watch Afshin Rattansi’s one hour interview of Tucker Carlson.  Carlson has come to my conclusion dating back years that the wars the Zionist neoconservatives, who have America at war with Russia in the interest of US hegemony and at war in the Middle East for the Zionist agenda of Greater Israel, have begun a conflict that is emerging as  a world war that is the road to Armageddon.

Trump promised to end these wars.  Instead, the wars have expanded.  Did Trump deceive his supporters, or is the President not the person really in charge?

Often I have explained that the President does not have the power that the public attributes to presidents–or that Trump thought he had–and thus events and policies diverge from the campaign promises.  Carlson supports my point when he says that Trump is not in charge.

Who is in charge?  Carlson doesn’t know, and I don’t either.  On the surface the neoconservatives seem to be responsible for both wars.  It is true that the war being conducted from Washington, using Ukraine as its proxy, is in keeping with the Wolfowitz doctrine that the principle goal of US foreign policy is to prevent the rise of any country that can serve as a constraint on US unilateralism.  And it is true that the neoconservatives are tightly allied with Israel and support the Zionist agenda of Israeli expansion known as Greater Israel.  A question is whether the neoconservatives are in control or merely serve as the operatives of someone who is, such, as Carlson suggests, the US intelligence services and the military/security complex, the financial health of which is served by war.  Is a focus on short-term profits leading to nuclear armageddon?

These are not issues that the US media focuses on or permits to be discussed and debated.  Therefore, those who are in charge are under no pressure of discovery. They are protected by an array of false narratives.

Carlson is intelligent, thoughtful, and his agenda is the well-being of America, which requires moral instead of immoral behavior and policies.

Notice that RT refers to Carlson as a “conservative journalist.”  Why is it “conservative” to stand for America and to ask who is really running the show?  Everyone should be asking the questions that Carlson asks.
